Don't forget about other crawlers that might have already crawled the links. You could for example check if Majestic or Ahrefs have already picked up on the link. Usually looking at a metric of Domain Authority to hope for an effect in your visits is not the best way to go about your SEO.

Thank you David.
I understand you point of view, ill check that also i wanted to to if these links were crawled first in order to understand that the hustle of getting the links were worth it and if they had real impact on the visits.
That's why I was trying to see if moz domain rank changed and how much my visits changed with that.
Thanks.

Thanks Martijn,
Exactly what I was looking for.

Hi Francisco,
I think you're focus is a little bit misdirected here.
To see the real impact of your backlinks, I would be checking Google Analytics for increases in organic traffic or Search Analytics data in Google Search Console.
Don't put too much focus on DA and don't be surprised to see it go up and down with different indexes (and don't freak out when it goes down).
Overall, my advice would be to focus on real metrics rather than third party metrics.
Cheers,
David

Meta no index crawler warnings
I've decided that the duplicate content issues on my site weren't worth the effort from the amount of traffic the archive pages on my WordPress site received no I decided to no-index them using Yoast. Now I have 60 meta no-index crawler warnings. Should I just ignore these? It seems I get warnings, either way, I use the site. Does anyone have advice on how to move on with this?

Website is not being indexed in Mozscape
Hi, We launched a website Mid-March. Strangely it's not yet being indexed by the Mozscape crawler (therefore I can't use tools like Open Site Explorer). Open Site Explorer keeps telling me: "No Data Availible for this URL". I don't think it's a crawl error of some sort. Google Webmaster tools tells me everything is fine (no crawl errors). Search Engine indexing is also fine. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Press Release - using moz bar/OSE is reading domain not page? How? Why?
A question posed by Christopher Glaeser from early today:low PA high DA, had a follow up response from him providing 2 urls from PR WEB for separate press releases: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/11/prweb8923419.htm (HP White) On moz bar Page Analysis/Link Data = PA - 47 DA - 36 http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/12/prweb9051351.htm (Golfer's Advice) On moz bar Page Analysis/Link Data = PA - 1 DA - 96 I kept scratching my head as to how a press release of 6 weeks ago had garnered such attention from a company that would not seem to have a huge traffic due to more obscure product offering and scientific subject (Analyses of Armor Industry versus Golf Advice).

Then I realized that for HP White, Link Data was not about the PR. The url from mozbar was HPWhite.com not the above, I did not notice until I used OSE where same thing was happening. When I cut and pasted the above press release url for HP White and placed it in OSE this changed: PA - 49 DA - 96 (2 links 2 linking root domains) For Golfers advice (0 links from 0 linking domains) Note to all: the links to the PR WEB release for the HP included a low end directory type link and a link from PR WEB (. For Golfer's Advice there was not a link back to the release from PR WEB: Note that Golfer's Advice is a newer release (6 weeks). So, any link from HPWhite release would equal more juice to HP White and PR Web and Vocus. Any link to Golfer's Advice from release offers......???? to Golfer's Advice and who cares to Vocus and PR Web. So, I guess this begs a couple of questions: Why the mozbar link analysis difference for one versus the other? Does PR Web treat some differently than others? Who benefits most from me paying a PR Web to do press releases for a client, PR Web and Vocus or my client and I???? I have tried to order the images to make sense: L to R top, then bottom is last. Page and Domain Authority and other bits
Hi, I am in the process of finding blogs to have a few articles published with a couple of links in each. Articles will all be unique and relevant to the link I drop in and relevant in someway to the reader However I have a few questions. My site is a designer menswear site, so I have picked fashion and sports sites first and foremost to have the articles published. Now, I have a guy who owns about 30 different websites. 2 of them are sports based and about 10 are fashion based. Around $10-$15 an article. I have ran them all through the Open Site Explorer Tool and picked out the best ranked ones. Now my problem is, how do I know if its a good site to not only list an article on, but to pay for it as well. The sites page ranks are around the 30-45 range, the domains are around the 35-45 range. What is a good range to have? I know the higher the better but is 30-45 good enough to pay for? (I don't mind paying the $10 each (£7 my money) for each one) Also as he is quoted me in dollars, I assume there all USA based, so majority of users are USA based. Well I am UK based and only ship to the UK. Will this matter as much if I am trying to gain backlinks? Obviously a UK based site, would be ideal, but is it a case of getting more external links on the web for Google to find, as long as they are relevant to the user? Any help would be great. Thanks Will

How fast can Domain Authority be established?
I am wondering how much time it takes to grow a new site's domain authority. More so, based on a consistent stream of links, syndication, and content, how fast can a website grow from 0-20, 21-40, 41-60, etc. in terms of domain authority?
