Are Facebook page updates indexed in Google search?

I seem to remember an update where Google said it was going to include Facebook page updates into Google search, but perhaps that was a deal that fell through? If updates ARE appearing in Gooogle search, how do I troubleshoot a Facebook page where they are not?

Yes for sure.
I have tried posting articles into my facebook page and it was indexed.
Not to mentioned the number of fans are shown up almost live on Google searches

Facebook Page updates are indexed real-time by Google Bots. What do you mean by troubleshooting it? Ranking would be based on social relevance and activity within the account (i.e.: likes and comments on the posts that you are trying to rank high) Obviously, a facebook page with 100k followers, and an average of 1000 comments per post would have higher social relevancy than a page with a few hundred followers and a couple of comments per page. Can you elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish?

I would think it has to do with the profile being public or not and how popular/used the page is......

That's useful to know, I thought Google's indexing was the same speed for all sites, are there any best practices for Facebook updates to potentially add SEO value to Facebook updates?

I have ranked for several of mine updates. Its hard to think SEO in an update though. My fans tend to fall out of longer updates.

These responses are great, and it's good to know that I'm not loosing my mind (because I thought they were indexed" now how do I troubleshoot a page that doesn't look like it's updates are appearing in Google Search (and I want them to)?

Yes, facebook pages do get indexed due to the social integration and real time index at Google. There is no guarantee of ranking, but yes, it does get indexed.

CPA for Facebook Advertising
I'm just wanting to find out more if I can set a CPA strategy for Facebook advertising and re-targeting. An acquisition for us would be when someone reaches our thank you page. This indicates a successful conversion on our site. Are we able to set a Facebook strategy where payment is only made for advertising upon reaching that page (and achieving that conversion)?

Google Plus Company Page Verification
Hi How do you test successful G+ company page/publisher integration/verification if using the less technical methods such as linking between the Home page and the G+ company page instead of adding code to the head section? Since i take it the google structured data testing tool cant work in these cases since no code on the head section ! Is it best to add the code anyway ? I note my clients still not achieving a knowledge graph card/section in the search results for a branded search but i have heard that doesnt come until you have at least hundreds of followers and/or G+ interactions. Facebook and SEO
Hello, recently we've noticed my companies Facebook page (www.facebook.com/dishcostsless) is not being crawled by Google. When you type in DISH Costs Less Facebook it does not show up, even when you type in the exact URL there are no search results. We used screaming frog to check out the back end of the page and there are no meta tags like there are on most FB pages. Also we noticed there were two re-directs; one from the http page to the https page, and the other directed the https page to the http page creating one giant cycle. We think this has something to do with the problem but not sure. Is there anyone who has had a similar issue, and how did you fix it? We'd love to be assured that the search engines are tracking our interactions on Facebook for SEO purposes.

Moving from Google place to Google+ - problems, problems
Hi, I'm just moving a business listing from Google Places to Google+ I have a couple of problems. (1) The verification postcard has turned up with the wrong address on it (different to the address on Google Places!) - can I alter this once I've verified Google+ page or would I need to go through postcard verification again? (2) I see the categories in Google+ are far less flexible (and appropriate) for the business I work for, so I'm thinking that may cause problems. Has anybody else experienced this same problem? How do search engines understand what social pages are official pages of my brand? If my Facebook page name is not my brand name (even though there are links from website to page and vice-versa) will that confuse search engines?

Should the Google Plus button be sitewide?
Hi All, We are in the process of adding a Google Plus button to our site (to the header, sitewide) - at http://www.jewelleryoutlet.com.au/ My question is, should the button have behavioural characteristics that apply to the whole site, or only for that page that it is clicked on. Consider these scenarios: A customer clicks on the G+ button from the homepage - they then 'like' that page (our homepage, i.e. our site) A customer clicks on the G+ button from a category page - e.g. http://www.jewelleryoutlet.com.au/cheap-necklaces-s/1818.htm. Because the button is in the header and sitewide, should the customer be 'liking' http://www.jewelleryoutlet.com.au/ or http://www.jewelleryoutlet.com.au/cheap-necklaces-s/1818.htm? We are also adding a Google + button to the item template, e.g. on http://www.jewelleryoutlet.com.au/product-p/jn1003.htmsomewhere above the Add to Cart button. When they press the button in this instance, they are 'liking' only that page (which is how I would want the functionality to work). So my question is to do with point 2 above. Much like a Facebook 'like/fan count' type button that exists in the header of many sites, should the G+ button function the same way? E.g. if we have a count of 10 in the header on the homepage, then there is also a count of 10 sitewide? Or should this reset for every subsequent page that a customer lands on, and by pressing the G+ button on that page, they are 'liking' only that page. Which is better for SEO? Several different +1's to different pages (e.g. from the necklaces, bracelets and earrings category pages for a more natural structure) or several +1's all pointing to the homepage? Any help or suggestions regarding G+ button or the service in general would be much appreciated. Thanks

Facebook "Voting" App
I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a "voting" app on Facebook. We have some user-generated recipes that we want to post and allow our fans to vote for their favorite. Like my Facebook Page or my Facebook URL?
Like many other companies or company has a site and a Facebook page. With the Facebook like button your can either specify a url or a Facebook Page. So I don't know what would be better to get more 'likes' or if I need both? My thoughts: More people liking the Facebook Page then we can post updated to more people that will show on their wall. More url likes, I think this might have (or will have) effect on search engine rankings. The more people that like your url the higher it could be in rankings. I don't really want both as most people won't go through the trouble to 'like' both plus it is confusing. Please let me know your thoughts or strategy.
