What we can understand from decrease in % of New Sessions year to year in Google analytics.

Hi,
As per Google analytics, we are loosing around 15% of new sessions every year comparing to the previous. But the sessions are increasing. Good that sessions increased; but new sessions are getting reduced. What exactly we can understand from this scenario?

Check how your organic traffic compares. If it's farely steady, no reason to worry. It may simply be that your referral traffic has reached its "peak" in terms of new visitors they can send.

Google Drop Following Negative Article in New York Times
I have two sites that were mentioned in a negative article in The New York Times a couple weeks ago. They saw a good increase in traffic, but on the sixth both of them saw sudden unexplained Google drops. Both seemed on the average position from search console doubling overnight. I run similar websites that have seen no such drops. The only thing these two have in common are being mentioned in the same negative article. Normally I would expect the mention from a major news outlet to make the sites more authoritative in Google's eyes. Is this a coincidence or a possible manual penalty? They still rank number one for their respected brand names, but everything else has suffered. Did Google make any recent algorithm changes or do you think someone at Google may have read the article and decided the sites needed to be demoted?

Recent Google algorithm update?
Two of our clients have experienced a huge dip in organic rankings during the past week or so and we haven't done anything that would cause this. Can anybody help me please!
Hi, I'm not an SEO expert! I'm even not a professional Webmaster. I'm a professional "Private Investigator", owner of a PI Agency in Bangkok (Thailand). Our website (thailand-investigation.com) was ranked, 18 months ago, on the 1st page in Google, Bing & Yahoo search engines for our major keywords! We are still good in Bing and Yahoo but we dropped to the 5th page and more in Google! I do not know when it happened? I was busy working managing my business and was not taking care on our website (BIG mistake)!I realized it beginning of august 2012. I redesigned our website, ad content, new pages...Started 2 months ago, but still no result with our home page! The new pages start to show-up!??? But still far away! I need to understand why? What is going on!? Why Google "de-ranked" us? And what to do to recover!!! I'm here to learn, try to understand and take your advises! How does Google treat anchor tags on badges after penguin update?
We have a website builder that creates sites in sub-domains (i.e. yoursite.breezi.com) on every site we have included a badge that has anchor text and an image. My question is given the fact that we will include this on many if not most of the sites created inside our builder how will google treat backlinks with the same anchor tag/text from non relevant sites after the penguin update? I am concerned about the backlinks from non-theme related sites and it's SEO implications. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problems with Google results
Hi Everybody, I ve been dealing with this issue for a while now. i have a multilingual website: www.vallnord.com When a search for Vallnord in Google it always shows the result in Catalan, but it does not show what I specified in the meta description, it displays what it crawls from the home page. I have 2 problems here: It is not showing my meta description. What can I do? It is not showing the language from which the search was made. Example: if you search from Google.com and your default language is english it should been displayed the result from the english HTML. www.vallnord.com/en but it is not like this. It is always the catalan (default language of the site) the one that is displayed. I have tried several things already: Inserting the Hreflang function Changing the descriptions Resubmitting the sitemap via Google Webmaster I can not figure out what is going on because if you search: "Vallnord Castellano" it will display the spanish URL but still not the proper description. Moreover if you search: "www.vallnord.com/es" on google , it will display the proper URL and description. FYI, I am using 301 redirects for the languages: es.vallnord.com it is the sames as www.vallnord.com/es In addition to this, If using Yahoo search engine there is no problem. it will show the proper language. from yahoo.com the first result is in english and from yahoo.es the first result Spanish. So any idea what would be the problem?And furthermore, any Idea which would be the solution? Thanks in advance, Guido.

How do you get photo galleries indexed on Google News?
I work for a news site and some of our photo galleries get indexed by Google News while others never do. I'm trying to determine why some are more successful than others even though they all follow the same guidelines regarding keyword-rich headlines & copy, h1s, etc. When comparing what's been indexed in the past with current galleries, there doesn't appear to be an obvious pattern. Can anyone share some insight into this?
