Why is Moz unable to crawl my site?
-
Was hoping someone could advise why Moz is unable to crawl my site at https://www.oceaniacruises.com
**Moz was unable to crawl your site on Oct 5, 2017. **Our crawler was banned by a page on your site, either through your robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, or the meta robots tag. Update these tags to allow your page and the rest of your site to be crawled. If this error is found on any page on your site, it prevents our crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Dave,
Any thoughts on the above question?
-
Hi Dave,
Unfortunately, our IT team has not been able to replicate the issue and can access the robots.txt file on the server side.
Is it possible to get more information (Moz logs, traces, etc…) from the error as a 503 error could be a result of multiple issues?
-
Hello I'm getting the same error as seen above on my website http://www.hadcoltd.com/. Can you please advise on what might be causing it or what I can do to fix it?
Thank You

Hey! Dave here from the Help Team.
It looks like we are getting a 503 status code when trying to access your robots.txt file. You will want to check your server logs for the response from User-agent: rogerbot/1.2 (http://moz.com/help/pro/what-is-rogerbot-, rogerbot-crawler+aardwolf@moz.com) and make sure you are not blocking us from accessing your site! Hope that helps

Moz not able to crawl our site - any advice?
When I try and crawl our site through Moz it gives this message: Moz was unable to crawl your site on Aug 7, 2019. Our crawler was banned by a page on your site, either through your robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, or the meta robots tag. Update these tags to allow your page and the rest of your site to be crawled. If this error is found on any page on your site, it prevents our crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. I have been through all the help and doesn't seem to be any issues. You can check the site and robots.txt here: https://myfamilyclub.co.uk/robots.txt. Anyone got any advice on where I could go to get this sorted?

Is Moz Pro the tool that SEO agencies are using to SEO my website?
I was just wondering if MOZ PRO is the tool that SEO agencies and specialists are using to SEO my website? Is it possible for a new guy in the SEO to optimize his web site by himself using MOZ PRO and rank on the top? What is the best material to learn from outside the MOZ.com sources? Thank you! Kaloyan

Moz Pro for Local Catering Company?
Is Moz Pro or Moz Content useful for a local catering company? I've started a trial to try to determine if it will benefit us. Our new site will be up next week so we don't currently have traffic. We will be using some Adsense and direct mail campaigns to get started, but not sure if Moz local will be sufficient. Please help connecting the dots. I know it would be good to rank higher for example "Catering Tahoe, Ca." But how would Moz help me see what kind of content to create for a local catering company? I'm not sure a blog article makes sense.

A lot of duplicate content issues - does Moz understand canonical URL?
Hi, Since I subscribed to Moz my Magento store has given a lot of duplicate content issues. However, I did have a problem with Canonical URL at the time. It has been settled for a couple of weeks by now and although I had 302 redirects before, I configured Magento to 301 today. Since Moz has been crawling and showing duplicate content for exactly the same Magento pages but with endings like store=us, store=aus etc (since I have several store views enabled), I am wondering whether canonical URL does actually help Google to skip these versions of the duplicate pages and does Moz also understand it and will it reduce the amount of duplicate content errors once the 301 redirects and canonical URLs have been properly set for a week or so? Thanks!

Site traffic vs other sites
I have a quick question. Does Moz have a tool I can use to see how much traffic my site gets a month versus some competition? I know Alexa has this but you have to create an account. I am just wondering if Moz has one and I am missing it.

High Number of Crawl Errors for Blog
Hello All, We have been having an issue with very high crawl errors on websites that contain blogs. Here is a screenshot of one of the sites we are dealing with: http://cl.ly/image/0i2Q2O100p2v . Looking through the links that are turning up in the crawl errors, the majority of them (roughly 90%) are auto-generated by the blog's system. This includes category/tag links, archived links, etc. A few examples being: http://www.mysite.com/2004/10/ http://www.mysite.com/2004/10/17/ http://www.mysite.com/tagname As far as I know (please correct me if I'm wrong!), search engines will not penalize you for things like this that appear on auto-generated pages. Also, even if search engines did penalize you, I do not believe we can make a unique meta tag for auto-generate pages. Regardless, our client is very concerned seeing these high number of errors in the reports, even though we have explained the situation to him. Would anyone have any suggestions on how to either 1) tell Moz to ignore these types of errors or 2) adjust the website so that these errors now longer appear in the reports? Thanks so much! Rebecca
