Clicks, impressions, CTR, & position decreased after adding meta descriptions
-
A website that I was working on did not have meta descriptions, had poorly optimized meta titles, and URL structure. I created optimized descriptions and titles for each page. I also updated the URL structure of select pages and created 301 redirects.
Since I did this I noticed that my clicks, impressions, CTR, and position all decreased on Google Search Console (I just setup Search Console so I only have 1-week of data). Traffic on Google Analytics is about the same. Is this normal?

Adding UTM Tags to business directories?
Hi, I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on adding UTM tags to your business directories such as google my business, yelp, yellow pages ect. Would it be beneficial in sorting the data in GA? That way I can easily see which directories are performing the best. Thanks!

Webmaster Tools Average keyword position
Hello! For the last month i have notices a drastic change in Avg.position for a keyword on my clients site http://livoart.lv keyword: "kapu pieminekļi". According to webmaster tools it went from 13 to 4-2. The problem is that in orgranic search i keep seeing the keyword on the second page and the CTR of the keyword did not change at all. Why would webmaster tools show false data?

Is it possible to have a GA event and a GA virtual pageview fire off of the same click?
If we can only choose one, we'll likely go with the Event, but I'm hoping we'll be able to do both and gather more data about when certain pages (even if they are virtual) are viewed in the path to conversion.

Google Analytics - Adding a sub-domain
Hi I have a google analytics query.
Reporting & Analytics | | Niki_1
I have a main site with a google analytics tag and I have 2 forms that sit on a subdomain with a different GA code. As I would like to measure end to end tracking, I would like the same GA code on the subdomain. What is the best way for me to implement this? Would I need to make some changes to the GA code that sits on the main site or can I add the the GA code from the main site onto the subdomain? Thanks0 -
Disparity between analytics click and WMT clicks.
There's no correlation between click in the 'search queries' report in WMT and analytics. Analytics organic google traffic is over double what is shown in webmaster tools. When I look at the graphs over the last 30 days in each they look similar its just that analytics is showing more traffic than WMT. I've checked I only have the analytics code once on the page. What could be causing this?

How Do Queries And Impressions Relate?
For one of our keywords, i have 2,500 impressions this past month, but there were only 1,300 queries according to Google's keyword planner. How can I have more impressions than queries? If anything, I thought it would be the other way around. If someone could flush this out for me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thanks, Ruben

Number of clicks / organic traffic - different data in Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
Hi. I have a little problem. When I open Google Webmaster Tools I see 3000 clicks (in Traffic - Search queries - Clicks). But when I open Google Analytics I see much more visits from search engine (Google) - it´s 4-5 times more! It´s a huge difference, don´t you think? Do you know, where is the problem? What causes this diffence? thanks a lot

SEOMoz & Google Webmaster Tools crawl error conflicting info
Site im working on has zero crawl errors according to SEOMoz (it did previously have lots since ironed out) but now looking at GWebmaster Tools saying 5000 errors. Date of those are not that recent but Webmaster Tools line graph of errors still showing aprox 5000 up to yesterday There is an option to bulk action/tick them all as fixed so thinking/hoping GWT just keeping a historical record that can now be deleted since no longer applicable. However i'm not confident this is the case since still showing on the line graph. Any ideas re this anomalous info (can i delete and forget in GWT) ? Also side question I take it its not possible to link a GA property with a GWT account if created with different logins/accounts ? Many Thanks Dan
