How to safely syndicate blog posts in LinkedIn Company page
-
We currently post our new blog post on our company profile (in Linkedin) immediately after publishing on our company blog. Is this running the risk of duplicate content?
My colleague pastes the new posts URL into (I've given an example using my own site - ironically about Panda)! Does this run the risk of creating duplicate content? I've tried searching for indexed pages in Google for past posts and only find the originals (no URLs for the LinkedIn domain). I've got a bit confused about the whole subject having read Neil Patel's excellent article on "...syndicating content without screwing up you seo"!
Thank you

If you read Neil Patel's post he says...
-- syndication can cause duplicate content issues
-- syndication can result in your content on other sites outranking the same content on your site
For those reasons, I would not as a habit, republish each of my articles on other websites.
If I have great content I will keep it for myself - on my site only. I would use syndication only in those cases when I "have a message to get out" ... and that message is more important than having the article performing well on my own webiste.
I am posting this as my opinion and practice. It's not advice. And, there might be situations when I depart from it, such as if I had an article that would produce a bigger bang on another website than on my own, only for the reason that the website that receives the article has a greater reach for that topic or a stronger tribe for that type of information.

Should I use a canonical URL for images uploaded to a blog post in Wordpress?
Hi, I have a wordpress website that has articles/news posts witch contain imagery. I've noticed that in the Media Library, when you upload an image to a blog post it generates a new permalink ...article-name/article-image-01.jpg I have Yoast SEO plugin and have the option to set a canonical URL for this image. Should I point it back to the actual article? Thanks for any helpers with this.

Blog for a Prestashop: WP at subfolder or blog with dedicated keyword based domain?
Hi Scenario 1: site running with prestashop at domain whatever.com There's a blog at a subfolder of domain, running with Wordpress whatever.com/blog Scenario 2: site running with prestashop at whatever.com. The blog is at a different server and domain with keywords, e.g. cloudtechnology.com What's better for the blog posts to have better SERP results? Scenario 1 or 2? From the point of view of a user, I have seen for friends and colleagues that scenario 2 works for the blog, and might work for the shop, since blog posts contain links to shop etc. However, all examples I've seen for scenario 1 are still struggling...it's hard for them to make the blog visible at SERPs...is it a coincidence or is there a reason? Thanks for your answers!

Guest Blog Posts (Originally Seen on . .)
We are making a push to get our blog posts featured on other blogs, and bring in guest bloggers. We figured we could just repost a blog post on our blog, and link back to the original post. Obviously this provides some link juice, but do you think it's a bad idea because of duplicate content? Specifically, I'm also a Huffington Post blogger, so I have the option of writing an article, posting it on our site and HuffPo, and linking back to the original to give us links. Any advice?

My site, http://goo.gl/h0igI was ranking on page one for many of our biggest keywords. All of a sudden, we completely fell off. I believe I'm down somewhere between page 40-50. I have no warning or error messages in webmaster tools. Can anyone please help me identify what the problem is? This is completely unexpected and I don't know how to fix it... Thanks in advance

Too many on page links for WP blog page
Hello, I have set my WP blog to a page so new posts go to that page making it the blog. On a SEOmoz campaign crawl, it says there are too many links on one page, so does this mean that as I am posting my blog posts to this page, the search engines are seeing the page as one page with links instead of the blog posts? I worry that if I continue to add more posts (which obviously I want to) the links will increase more and more, meaning that they will be discounted due to too many links. What can I do to rectify this? Many thanks in advance
