Not ranking

Hi,
so our website (www.18brandz.com) has been up for 8 months now and has not been ranking yet, we are indexing, moz crawler SEO issues are regularly fixed and we are down to about 25 non major issues, i started using google lighthouse to optimize and had made changes.we post GOOD quality in house written unique content, we follow an SEO templet of guideline i wrote for titles/meta title tags, structure, site speed has been optimized and as for the moment we rank A OR B with no major issues on all speed checking sites possible (gtmetrix/google speed insights/ webspeed... etc) but nothing. and i cant figure out why we wont rank, our field of digital marketing is a tough one and very competitive , i know, yet not ranking for so long seems odd. our only know fact major disadvantage is the lack of links and no link building strategy.
any suggestions? any idea?

Thank you! yes the clarifies a lot, one question though, any suggestions as for high quality directories and content sharing websites? i know medium for content sharing but nothing about directories and looking into competitors didnt look like they are registered on any directories.

I can tell you from experience as a digital media/marketing/SEO company in NJ, it is hard to rank and stand out. But you guys offer SEO, you should be able to exploit your strengths to rise above your competition. Understand in New Jersey, 8 months is not enough time to rank without putting in considerable amounts of effort to build links. My suggestions would be to focus on your local market. Build your google reviews. As your start generating a client base. Start doing off site marketing and community building.
It make take you a couple years but you will get there.

Are you on google my business with a verified area/address? Yelp? Have good inbound links with anchor texts? Those are just additional suggestions from the above responder.

Just took at look a the site and ran a Link Analysis in the Moz Link Explorer.
Technical Analysis: Https= Good, Site Speed is good (under 2 seconds according to Pingdom), 44 pages on the website (not bad for a local business), and 0 broken links found throughout the website according to BrokenLinkCheck.com
On-Site: Meta Titles & Description could use some help. Try editing the Meta Titles especially on pages you would like to rank on Google, the homepage and service pages especially. If you are trying to rank for "New Jersey" searches, ie "SEO New Jersey", mention New Jersey more in the copy, H2s on occasion, etc. I don't see the homepage or service pages mentioning it once, except for the "NJ" abbreviation in your footer address and it being on the back-end of your Home Page Meta Title.
**Off-Site: **The website has a pretty bare link profile as you mentioned, and unfortunately blogging every week is not going to compensate for not having inbound links, unless you are doing some hardcore outreach to get your posts linked to. I would put a focus on this, even if you start with simple high-quality directory or content sharing websites. Use the Moz Link Explorer to see what sites are linking to your competitors, then strategize on how to acquire some similar links.

Website Ranks and gets de indexed ??
Hi My website is almost 3-4 months old . Whats strange is that as soon as it get Crawled it ranks for few terms for 1-2 days and all of a sudden gets de Indexed for these same terms or Rank drops like drops from page 5 to page 10 . Nothing shows up in Webmater tools under Manual Action . Assuming its a Algorithmic penalty, How to deal with this kind of stuff. Should I stop working on this site all together ? Or assuming its a New website, google does not want it to rank for medium or high volume keywords ? What keywords I am after have 300 -2k searches per month .

Is adwords data in organic ranking relevant?
we have noticed that without our adwords, our bounce rate is about half (outstanding rate) as compared to when we enable adwords (relatively bad). This of course amplifies across the board for other engagement metrics. So basically it looks like our website is not deemed too relevant and engaging when we bring in PC as compared to organic views. Does anyone have information if the search engines use this data without correcting out the PC visitors brought through adwords? this would mean to us that without having adwords we have a much better chance of ranking organically. very curious about what your experiences are as experts! Confused with rankings for keywords that are not on the actual page?
Hey Guys, So I went to search a keyword, my competitor came up, when I looked for that keyword on their page i didn't see it at all, and the page is content thin, how is it they are ranking for the keyword at all? Bit confused at how this works. So having the keyword in your content is not necessary a ranking factor? Please advise and sorry if this question is really amateur, I'm sure based on this search there is more to it then that.... could you other ranking factors as to why they rank for a keyword that is not in their content? Does the whole exact keyword have to be in the content to rank? Thanks all

Homepage ranks worse than subpages
My homepage (www.mach7t.com) is optimized for "enterprise imaging solutions", but only ranks #55 in Google. The rest of my subpages rank much better than that for their respective keywords, many on page 1. Any ideas why this might be?

Brand queries as a ranking signal?
Hi folks, I may be shooting WAY off the mark here for it to be laughable, but I wondered if anyone else was thinking about this. I was trying to get to sleep last night, but was thinking about rankings (as you do... You DO think about rankings instead of counting sheep don't you... I'm not weird or anything am I... AM I?) and it occurred to me that maybe Google uses frequency of brand queries as a ranking signal - was wondering if anyone had done any research into this? Assuming that if more people are searching for a brand name, then there must be an outside influence on this behaviour (offline ads or editorial for example) - and this all points to a site or company being popular or interesting - maybe Google looks at the growth in brand name queries, and boosts based on this... I have done no research into this (I was just thinking about it instead of counting sheep last night... because I probably AM weird...) but was wondering what people here thought of this. Tagged URL ranking organically
I've noticed that one of our GA tagged urls are ranking organically & therefore is skewing the referral data. The campaign that we were tracking is no longer active but the link still works, but it's going to an old landing page. I asked our developers if we could redirect it but they said that it didn't work. Does anyone have some advise or a solution for this? Thanks!

Sudden and Aggressive Fall in Rankings
I have seen a sudden and aggressive drop in rankings for my site. The site was ranking #4 for rental insurance and now sits at #9. It was ranking #16 for renters insurance and now dropped to #171. We vary anchor text in our link building campaign and focus on getting links from PR3+ sites as well as produce content for quality sites in exchange for being a featured author + link. The site has not been over optimized (i.e. keyword stuffing, etc.). I would appreciate any insight into what could be causing this significant drop in rankings and what my course of action is to reinstate my rankings - Penguin?

Can Affiliate Links Harm Your Rank?
Does Google interpret Affiliate links as paid links? If so, can Affiliate links harm your rank if they are not properly tagged with a no-follow? Thanks.
