301 redirection problem - Major lose of ranking in Google Search results
(site was almost completely removed from google search results)Hello,
I had a website ('DayUse' style) with the following url:
https://www.roomsindex.co.il/Couple of days ago, I've made a 301 redirection to:
https://www.hour.co.il/The redirection was made on 2 levels:
1. Server side- on htaccess file.
2. Google Search Console - Change of address page.Bare in mind the following things:
- The site's structure (url addresses) & the code hasn't changed (for sure).
- Both redirections are 100% valid (for sure).
- All the website pages were indexed (for sure).
- There isn't a penalty on any of the above domains (for sure).
The website was almost completely removed from Google search results. For example: Before the redirection the website was ranked 10 in my main keyword "Rooms by hour" (translation from Hebrew), now the website removed. Also, the website removed from almost all the search terms it was ranked before.
My question is, off course, WHY???
By the details on the following page, a proper 301 redirection shouldn't cause to such page ranking loss (As I mentioned- It almost completely disappeared)... -
Oh how I dislike Imgr and wish Moz made sharing images easier.
See if this works. If not, go to https://imgur.com/ItJ0dyS.
I'm using the Mozbar to show the redirect.

Hello Donna,
I'm not seeing any redirect problem on Moz extension- Or any other tool that I'm using. It all show that there is a proper 301 from:
to:
Can you please provide me a screenshot of what you are describing? It drives me crazy - How come that a website completely remove from google search results after 301 redirection...

Your redirect is not working. It seems to be circular.
If I click on your old URL (https://www.roomsindex.co.il) I'm redirected to the new (https://www.hour.co.il). That part's good.
If I click on your new URL (https://www.hour.co.il) and use the Moz extension to look at your HTTP status, I'm told your new home page (https://www.hour.co.il) is redirecting to your old home page (https://www.roomsindex.co.il). So you need to get rid of that redirect.
Check your .htaccess file again.

Why Google is not indexing each country/language subfolder on the ranks?
Hi folks, We use Magento 2 for the multi-country shops (its a multistore). The URL: www.avarcas.com The first days Google indexed the proper url in each country: avarcas.com/uk avarcas.com/de ... Some days later, all the countries are just indexing / (the root). I correctly set the subfolders in Webmaster tools. What's happening? Thanks

Has any one seen negative SEO effects from using Google Translate API
We have a site currently in development that is using the Google Translate API and I am having a massive issue getting screaming frog to crawl and all of our non-native English speaking employees have read through the translated copy in their native language and the general consensus is it reads at a 5th grade level at best. My questions to the community is, has anyone implemented this API on a site and has it a) helped with gaining traffic from other languages/countires and b) has it hurt there site from an SEO standpoint.

How To Rank A UK Website On Google.com (US)
Hi, I've done some research on this but couldn't find any definitive answer I can trust! We have a client who resides in the UK. They have '.com' domain, hosted on a UK server, using UK spelling. Their business objective for this year is to expand in the USA, including the opening of a warehouse over there. They are wanting us to rank their website on both Google.co.uk and Google.com (North America); besides changing the geolocation settings in GWT's, and building links from .com websites is there anything else we can do to increase their visibility on Google.com? Many thanks in advance, appreciated!

Suggestion for Baidu Keyword Rank Tracking Software?
Does anyone have a suggestion for the best keyword rank tracking software in Baidu? The keywords would be in Chinese. We currently already have keyword rank tracking software for Google/Bing/Yahoo so we just need to expand to Baidu. I am looking forward to comparing my research with what the Moz community has to say! Thanks!

.im domain ranking globally?
Hello all, I know that Matt Cutt's stated a while back that .co domains would become recognized by google as a gtld and was wondering how google views .im domains. I was looking at using a couple for work but have a generic name .im of my own that when checked in webmaster tools is locked to the isle of man in the geographical targeting option. I was wondering if anyone can advise me on this and if possible provide some feedback based on experience with .im domains. Thanks.

Google UK picking up USA Site
I have a site with two subfolders one is .../uk and one is .../us Part of the content on the two sites is the same and part is unique. The US site's language is set to en and the UK site's language is set to en_gb. I have setup geo-targeting in webmaster tools. The problem is that the home page is a GEO-IP redirect and it seems to be picking up information from the US site even on google uk. I'm not concerned too much about getting the uk site crawled as we submit a sitemap for that anyway. But my concern is that if I setup the geo-ip redirect as a 301 will my UK site loose all of it's ranking? Also am I likely to be penalised for duplicate content?

Will Google punish me cuz my websites content are almost the same?
If I have almost the same contents for my three e-commerce websites, say A.com,B.uk,C.ca. They're promoted in US, GB, Canada which are all English speaking. Will my site be punished because they're almost the same to Google?
