How To Stop Moz Crawl From Prepending /blog/ on all our site urls that it crawls
-
Hello,
At some time in the past our WP site had urls like this:
www.oursite.com/blog/post-title-pretty-link
The site has not used that url structure for quite some time, but Moz crawl is still hitting every post with /blog/prepended and as a result is generating thousands of 404s. When the /blog/ is removed from the url, then the urls work fine.
Where are those old urls being stored and how can we update them?
How do we address this issue?
Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi there!
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
Could you pop an email about this over to help@moz.com along with the name of the affected campaign? We'll be able to take a look at the specific site then and find out where we're locating those URLS:).
Thank you!

Why is on-demand crawl reporting numbers that are very different than the regualr site crawl by Moz?
When I look at the site crawl available through my dashboard, it reports 22.9K pages crawled. I just ran a on-demand crawl and it is only reporting 6K pages crawled. Why is the number so much lower?

Editing Keywords in Moz Keyword Tracking Under Campaigns
Hi all, Some questions for Moz Pro Campaigns Setup Q1
Moz Bar | | SP1
As part of Moz Pro, we've created a campaign to track a set number of keywords and it seems that 2-3 of the keywords have been entered as a misspelling so I wanted to know how I can edit them to be corrected? Under "Add & Manage Keyword" I do see the keywords however do I need to click on "Show More" in order to scroll over to the keywords I need to edit / correct? Q2Eager to know if duplicated keywords are omitted when they are entered into the campaign. So if someone had entered in "abc123" twice in the list of 600 keywords will the 2nd instance of abc123 be removed when the keyword list is submitted into Moz? Cheers,

Moz reporting for C-Blocking
Hey Mozers, I see Moz has a reporting tool for C-blocking and for november I had 330. Does this mean 330 Ip addresses came from the same location in the month of november?

Moz Crawl Test Trying to Crawl Contact Form Submit Button Location?
Moz Crawl Test for some reason is trying to Crawl a contact form Widget Submit Location. My obvious guess is that obviously the crawl cannot submit to the required fields…..I believe this because they're only kicking back these errors on the pages I have a contact form widget on. http://crawfordspest.com/pest-control/crawfords@crawfordspest.com 1412553693 404 : Received 404 (Not Found) error response for page. Error attempting to request page; see title for details. 404

http://crawfordspest.com/specialty-services/crawfords@crawfordspest.com 1412553693 404 : Received 404 (Not Found) error response for page. Error attempting to request page; see title for details. 404 Can you shed any insight to this? I'm a bit worried that I'll have to complete gut the contact form which was one of the major requests my client requested. Or in a worse scenario make all fields not required. It would let so much spam in. I have never seem anything like this at all. But I've learned a lot from Moz, and with major errors like 404 damage Domain Authority greatly. I've fixed 404 issues with newly acquired clients existing sites and tracked through Moz and the domain authority flies up once these errors are fixed. Along with fixing what Webmaster Tools through Google reports back. ..... Let me know if you have any expertise on this matter.0 -
How do you block keywords in On-Page Grader for certain URLs?
For the on-page grader, I rank A's for 9 keywords. I struggle with F's I have because it is searching keywords on pages that are not supposed to be searched. For example, I have a "bracelets" page, so I didn't optimize it for "rings", so I got an F. However, it graded me an A for the bracelets keyword, which is great. To be sure I am correct, each page should have it's own keyword, such as bracelet. So why is the grader checking my "Bracelets" page for "Rings"? Maybe there is something I am missing. Just trying to see why this happening.

My product pages have no weight / links from root domains with the Moz tool bar
Hi, When I view my home page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk) with the Moz toolbar, I see a good PA and a good amount of links from root domains. As I go down the site, it seems to get worse. The category pages (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Category/0/Straight_Foods.html) have a little but not much and then from this point onwards, it's nothing. The product page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods~Sunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html) is reporting to have no root domain links but I am not sure why. Interestingly, when I click through to a review page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/StockReview/0/SUNH/0/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html) it does have some juice. Would anyone be able help on why this is happening and what I need to be looking at in order to resolve it please? EDIT: I've been looking at the hyperlinks and notice something odd. If I review the score with the first link below, it gives a score of 1, but the second gives a PA of 13 with one root domain linked. 1:http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods~Sunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html 2:http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods%7ESunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html Please note the "%7E" instead of the "~" in the URL. The browser appears to show the ~ character no matter what but the rank of the page changes. I don't understand what the Moz toolbar is doing with this. Note: This behaviour only happens in Mozilla Firefox, in chrome both the rankings are zero for each URL. Many Thanks.

Optimise your Pages in Moz Crawl - where do the keywords come from?
I am just going through my first Crawl stats from the MOZ analytics Under the pages to optimise section I have pages that I have optimised for my best keyword with an A grade that are showing as an F grade and suggesting a different keyword? Where is this keyword coming from? I am assuming that my page has been analysed and a better keyword has been recommended? Can anyone advise? Thanks Roger
