Visitor converting Goal - visitor information
-
How can i obtain information ( i mean whatever information i can get ) about a visitor, who has completed a Goal on website. The information could be -
Where the visitor came ( country )
Keyword typed by the visitor to come to Goal page
and any other information which could be obtained ?
-
Thanks Bryce for your reply. I am looking this on a user-by-user basis.
-
Thanks Adrian. Would you please throw more light on "'Goalx Completions' (where x is the goal slot). What should i write ? Should it be "Goal1 completion".
-
Set up an Advanced Segment using a metric of 'Goalx Completions' (where x is the goal slot) and a condition of greater than 0. Apply the segment and you'll be able to view your GA reports focused on this segment and see what countries they came from, keywords typed, etc.

Are you looking for this on a user-by-user basis, or just looking for a general report?
Google Analytics can give you a fairly nice profile of the visitors who've completed goals, and in some cases you can filter it down to a single conversion. You would just need to find the easiest way to filter down to a single conversion.

Google Analytics Goal/Event/SOMETHING to show only Wordpress "Posts", not pages, etc
Hi all, Our site is build on Wordpress and formerly the post URL's had the typical date format at the beginning. This made it easy for me to look at, for example, all search traffic to the blog. I would just view URL's containing /2014/ and /2015/ and boom. We have since removed the dates from the URL's with proper redirects etc, which is great, but now I can't figure out a way to look at ONLY the blog in GA. I like to track a KPI of 'search visits to blog posts' and I can't figure out how to now. Can I set up a GA event that only fires when the post type template for blog posts loads? Some other solution? I'm lost here, and there's gotta be a good way to do it...

Goals tracking across subdomains
Hi all, I'm having some trouble with regards to setting up goals tracking in Analytics across subdomains and was hoping that someone could help me out. Okay I work for an insurance company and we use a Quote & Buy portal for our insurance policies. Our website - www.example.com sends the traffic to quotes.example.com. Both of these sites have the same Google Analytics tracking ID. The quotes.example.com has no duplicate URLs which appear one our website, therefore I only set up the account to only include the hostname for each. Does this sound correct? The goals issue is if I now set up a goal in the quotes.example.com account, someone comes to www.example.com via Google and then clicks through to our journey and completes, will this count as a referral from www.example.com or as a goal from Organic? I'm totally stuck so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ben

Conversion analytics goals
Hello, I have to configure my analytics goals for my SEO estrategy. In Google Analytics I can choose between: destiny, duration, Pages/screens per session and event. But I don't have the best criteria for select each one. What are the best options for a content site and for a e - commerce? Otherwise, I wanna know which is a good bounce rate for a content site? And what is a good Avg. Page Load Time (sec)? Thanks in advance.

Google Analytics Custom Alert For Goal Completions?
Hi currently setting up custom alerts for a website. I want to do a custom alerts for when goal completions decrease or increase by a certain % e.g. 20% as shown in the third example from this Moz Article back in 2012 - http://moz.com/blog/7-essential-google-intelligence-custom-alerts-that-keep-me-sane However when i go into my GA account the only options seem to be for when the goal completion conversion rate % drops. I could use this, but i rather do just based on completions rather than %. Any ideas on how i can do this? Thanks.

Google Analytics Goal Tracking Head Match w/ Query Strings
Hello, I have what should be a simple question here but there is a small nuisance I am trying to make sure I have configured correctly. We have a product based website w/ no e-commerce because they sell through a dealer network. All these product pages have "Where to Buy" links and the URL after you click where to buy always uses the query string ?r=XXX. Example: www.mysite.com/product/category/subcategory/product-name?r=12345 I want to setup a goal in GA with a URL and configure head match on the "?r" but which of the following is exactly how it should be configured with the "Goal URL" ?r= ?r r= Does it matter, because I had it setup as "?r" and it was never registering any goals. Do I need to leave off the "?" and just have it be r= Thanks in advance for the respones.

Google Analytics: Difference Between Goal Conversions & Goal Completions
When using Google Analytics, what is the difference between total goal conversions and total goal completions? We have many goals set up in a lead generation environment. Therefore, the only element of conversion is submitted a lead and arriving on the "Thank You" page. THose thank you pages are tagged accordingly. When we run reports though, the number of "Total Goal Conversions" and "Total Goal Completions" never match up.

Setting up Goals in Google Analytics that involve a 3rd party site
I've set up several goals for one of my clients in Google Analytics. The ones that relate to things on the site -- such as clicking on the "Contact Us" button -- work just fine. However, I set up one that is tracking when someone clicks on a purchase button, which sends the user to a third party site (PayPal). This one doesn't seem to work. (I purchased and item and the goal was not recorded). Looking to see if I have to do anything different when setting up the goal.
