Does posting links in comments on Linkedin count as blackhat?

I noticed a competitor site has started writing a post on linkedin and then adding the link to the article they are referencing in the comments section. I started to dig into this and came up with this useful post https://growthrocks.com/blog/linkedin-abtest-link-in-comment/ to me that all screams black hat, spamming and scamming...

What does the Moz Community think?

From my point of view, as long as it's done in a natural way and not in a spammy way, it should not count as black hat.

Hello Mozzers, In April we split our company in two, creating a new company in the process. We updated our Linkedin company page with the new branding etc, but I can't find anywhere we can change the url, which is still the old company trading style name. I've sent a support ticket to Linkedin, but I don't expect an answer all that fast so was wondering if any of you had experience with this problem and could point me in the right direction? Facebook Reach on Post Just Spiked!

Yesterday I put a post with a photo on our company Facebook page Normally our reach on a post is 500-600 out of a list of 77,000 followers. However, since posting this one yesterday afternoon, our reach has hit almost 9,000! The only thing different with this post vs. any others we've done is that I put a text link for the company name back to the same Facebook page that the post was put on. I didn't intend to do this, it's just that when I started typing in our company name, Facebook suggested making it a link, so I thought, why not? I'm thinking somehow that made it appear in more people's timelines than usual. We posted it the same time in the day as every other post, and this was the only thing unique about it. Any thoughts?

Opinions/advice on Blog posts please

I'm an intern at an Accounts Software Company. I'm doing SEO for them. As part of this I've recently started blogging. I'm doing this in an effort to increase traffic to the blog, and try to shift content focus away from Startup Methodology and increase focus on the product..I've had some success with it, in terms of increased Domain Authority and keyword ranking. At the same time, Keyword ranking can suddenly drop for some keywords, closely related to the ones I'm trying to rank for. The further difficulty is, that nobody wants to read about Accounting subjects. I've tried to make my posts as interesting and as valuable as possible.I'm still having trouble gauging whether I'm going about things the right way.Please take a look at some of the posts I've done. Are links between a subdomain and a root domain internal or external?

We have a microsite on a subdomain that is kind of a community site that has articles posted to it several times per week. The articles are often relevant to topics covered on the root domain, so links are often included. My question is, are links between the subdomain and root domain considered internal or external? Also, how much of a difference does the location of the links make? For example, if we have a related links menu with links to the root domain is that good enough, or is it that much better to have the links embedded in the article text (toward the beginning of the article)?

Outreach person different than guest post write

Hello, For a current client of mine, the person doing the outreach (me) and the person who is going to write the guest post (expert) are different people. Also, the expert doesn't want their real name published. They're going to use their first and middle name instead of first and last. How do I taylor my outreach and link building to accommodate the above two facts? BTW: The expert's picture is on the site if that helps, in an "Ask the Expert" menu tab Thanks

When I'm Social Book marking my websites I use a url shortening service such as bitly.com or onlywire.com. Do these services transfer link juice in the same ways as a direct link would do?
