Hi I am having problems with the spam score of my links.

Although I have removed the "bad ones" and disavow them in many cases, it is still showing a bad score. My site is https://www.way2net.com/

Is there any way to improve this faster?

Thank you basezap, I have waited more than 25 days, but perhaps it needs more time like 3-4 months, I do not know.

It takes some time I believe for this to take effect. I hope you have waited for some considerable number of days before crawling again ?

Mentioning wait time, might help moz members answering accurately.

Paid Subscription Directory with Low Moz Open Site Explorer Spam Score

Looking at different backlinks of my competitors and came across a few directories that require a 1 time payment for the year. Is this considered the same as paying for a link or would this be considered something like getting a listing on your local Chamber of Commerce site? Also, I put the site through Moz's Open Site Explorer and it had PA:22 and DA:20, which is nothing incredible, but also had a spam score of 2. So would a site like this hurt my rankings? Dealing with spam link attack

Last year I noticed that overnight my site was backlinked by 1000's of spammy links.
All with same anchor text and all really awful unrelated sites (law, money, mobile phone, pr0n sites, etc). I've not been hit with any penalties (or at least been messaged with anything to that effect), and I still float around top 10 for that anchor text, but I don't like having 1000's of spammy links with exact anchor text pointing to my site. Especially when all the other competitors have a fraction of the number of links. What would be the best way to combat these links before they do serious damage to my rankings.

14,000 blog comment spam links placed on one domain!!

Trying to clear up a manual link penalty a client has received and I have found the client's site has been blog commenting 14,000 times on just one domain!! I need to do a reconsideration request and show Google that I have cleaned up the mess (the client has 50k backlinks, of which I am not happy with about 75% so far!!) but I cannot expect the website in question to go through 14k pages. What would people advise here. Would you state the sheer number of links on this site in the reconsideration request and use the disavow tool? Doesn't this suggest that I have been lazy and not put the effort into to clearing things up up

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?

I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. When a competitor site jumps from 4000 to 10000 links in 2 months are they most likely spamming?

One of my competitors site's jumped from about 4000 links 2 months ago to about 10000 links today. That seems REALLY unnatural to me given the market (roofing products), but if it isn't what are they doing? My gut tells me it's fake, but I'm just curious what some of your takes on it are.

When looking at my site in open site explorer the top results are very dodgy spam and porn sites backlinking to us. Is this having a negative impact on our site?

When using open site explorer to check out who is linking to us I was surprised that the top results are spam and porn sites. These are completely irrelevant links. Does this have a negative impact on our site? What can we do to combat this?
