Hi there!
That's because they aren't based on search volume. Keyword Difficulty takes into account the Page Authority (PA) and Domain Authority (DA) scores of the sites ranking on the first page of Google for the given query. We also modify intelligently for the projected click-through-rate of a given page. This puts more weight on higher-ranking, more visible pages and less on lower-ranking, less visible pages. The formula also accounts for newer pages on powerful domains that may have DA scores but have not yet been assigned PA values.
You can read more about the Keyword Explorer Metrics in our Guide.
I hope this helps to clarify - if there's anything else I can help you with, feel free to reach out!

Top pages according Link Explorer shows 301 pages and images
I was looking at the top pages on my website using Link Explorer, it contains 301 pages and image URLs. Is this expected or I should be doing something to fix it? URL with second highest PA in site is a page already 301 redirected more than 6 months back. URL with highest PA in my blog is a random image in the blog, rather than any blog posts. Is this normal? Thanks -Aji

How accurate is Moz Rank Tracker tool? It's showing different results than a Google incognito search.
I have a keyword/url combo with Moz Rank Tracker showing 3 spots above what a Google Incognito search showed. I performed my Google Incognito search based on these suggestions: https://moz.com/community/q/best-and-easiest-google-depersonalization-method Is the Moz Rank Tracker tool off?

Moz Keyword Explorer how long does it take to gather metrics
Looking at some low volume keywords, I get lots of "Gathering Metrics". These don't seem to be updating with metrics. How long does this typically take, should I set and come back in a couple of hours, overnight? Should I leave the screen open, or will this stop it working? Justin

Ambiguities In The MozBar Keyword Difficulty Checker
Hi, This is more of an observation rather than a real issue. But I noticed that when I check a keyword difficulty in Google by pressing the button that appears I get a different % result to the same keyword placed in the campaign. I suspect that it is something to do with being in the UK, however, If for instance I go to google.co.uk and place in the search bar IT support company Portsmouth I get the result 44% appear but in the keyword difficulty tool I get the result 34%. It seems to do this on all the keywords I have checked. I also checked both US and UK results in the campaign but neither of these came up within the 10% difference of the toolbar. Like I mentioned though, not a criticism, just an observation, its still a very handy little tool. EDIT 06/18/14: I thought I would just add that I am now getting some seriously odd results. For instance, if I put in the keyword 'hairy blue widgets for sale in Outer Mongolia' it returns a difficulty level of 71% ??? Thanks

Is there a way to get Page Authority values included in the Crawl Diagnostic .csv export?
Would be nice to have these values included so that you can sort by Page Authority. 4uF6efx.png
