Facebook PPC. Using Google URL Builder - Now What?
-
Hey There!
So I've been trying some FB PPC ads. I recently learned I needed to use Google's URL builder to add the appropriate tracking fields into the URL (source, campaign, etc). The FB ad link now uses a custom URL with all the correct parameters.
Now what do I do in analytics? Do I create a filter? A goal? Getting a little dizzy going in circles with google analytic help, and I'm hoping someone here can direct me.
Thanks!

No problem Dan.
Brad Geddes has a great book if you want to learn more about Google AdWords. It's worth checking out:

Hi Dan
Thanks for that article. Just now I realize my mistake. I was simply looking for "campaigns" under traffic sources. Since I've not done any adwords before its not something I normally look at. But when I look at campaign, sure enough I see the Facebook ad traffic as a campaign source.
From there I can set up the goals etc to track conversion.
Thanks!

Running Google Ad Grants? How Much Is Your Monthly Spend?
Hi all - here's a question for everyone running Google Ads through the Ad Grant. How much of the $10,000 available to your account per month do you actually end up spending? I'm trying to see if I am in line with others in the industry. Would you mind sharing with me the type of nonprofit and the amount you're able to spend of the grant per month, on average? Thank you!

Clients Keep Googling Themselves
Hi, I have a common problem with my clients where they google their own business name or keywords they want to rank for and freak out when they don't show up on the first page of results. The same is true for my paid search clients. Is there a good way I can explain to them how Googleing themselves is not the best way to know if they are performing well? If there is an article out there that explains it that I can share that would be even better.

Google Product Ads
Hi,
Paid Search Marketing | | ChrisHolgate
I was wondering if I could ask is perhaps someone could give me some clarification as to how the amount we bid on Google Product Ads reflects the product positioning on Google Shopping? We have a Google Product Data Feed which is then linked up to our Adwords account so that we can determine a PPC bid amount. In instances like this it doesn't seem to make sense that one person may be paying 10ppc and another 20ppc when the buyers criteria for sorting merchants was purely down to the price. Since the buyer has the option to sort their products in price from minimum to maximum the sort order cannot be manipulated by Google based on the amount the merchant was paying. As such, how is determining a cost per click figure relevant when the customer is searching by base price low > high on Google Shopping? Surely I should just set the limit to £0.01 and rely on the customer determining the sort order (which ultimately will lead to a higher conversion rate) than allowing Google to skew the results based on bidding 20-30 times this amount? I should state that I'm in the UK. I do realise that a high PPC amount will increase our chance of exposure on standard search pages but my question does relate solely to results listed on Google Shopping. Thanks for your help! Return of investment on spend on google adwords
Hi Running an adwords campaign for a builders/construction company namely double glazing what sort of return of investment could I expect to get on a return of £4000 per month? I know its a million dollar question but any insight or thoughts would be appreciated, especially on tracking ROI for example in this case it's just leads via a contact form on potential conservatory, windows or doors work which would be followed up via phone and an onsite visit.

How To Increase Clicks In Google Shopping?
I have about 613 furniture products in Google shopping and am getting about 2 clicks a day. Any tips on getting more clicks? Current budget is $10 a day at $0.01 per click bid. Should I increase my bid per click or add more products or both? Thanks!

Google PPC - coupon balances
So, I know that you can't simply transfer a coupon credit in Google AdWords to another account. My question, if anyone knows, is there a way to do this using My Client Center? We manage multiple accounts, and have another coming on board that has a pre-existing coupon credit. We were going to set up a new account (which we would handle billing for and just invoice) for the client. But, that would leave them unable to use a coupon code. If it's managed under MCC, is there a way to work around this?
