Hi there, nofollow links shouldn't harm your site's performance in and of themselves - they should just be ignored by Google when trying to rank your site. If you're finding that 99% of the links to your site are nofollow then perhaps you would want to have a look at how you are marketing the site - do you think the links are driving value in terms of getting real customers coming to the site to buy?
If so then great, if it looks more like they are artificial and not driving value then even aside from whether they'll harm your rankings they could be harming your business in that time and money is being spent on something that isn't helping it grow.
Long answer short - wouldn't worry about nofollow links too much, but wouldn't specifically go out to get them unless there is a non-SEO strategy behind it.

Links from spam sites
Hi! Thank you in advance for your help. Few months ago we suffered a content spam attack. Now, We have discovered that we have imbound links pointing the spam content from external spam and untrusted sites. Could be this affect our ranking? In this case... Does Google drop links from page rank N/A sources?

I've started doing some link analysis on one of my site that has over nearly 800 links in total (which I got from the webmaster tools downloading the latest links). When I go on to Google and use the "link:www.mysite.com" directive it will only display 12 links. Does this mean Google is only counting 12 links from the link profile? Iv checked the freshness of some the links it wasn't displaying within Google to check they hadn't all expired. Links from march 2013 still don't appear. This sites link profile has been untouched for at least a year now and is full of directories many of which have a page rank of N/A hence my question. (I'm surprised it hasn't been hit by penguin!) Should I work on links to a specific page or site in general?

Why does my site only have 4 internal followed links/internal links?
When using Open Site Explorer my site is winning in many categories but lacking in others as compared to competitors. I intend to improve on this but am a little confused by the extremely low number of "internal followed links" and "internal links" at just 4. My competitors have much more than that. Does this mean links to the root domain? Total internal links? I have many internal links so I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. What four internal links are getting noticed? I just went through and changed all the links that went to index.html to link to the root domain at www.njlimocarservice.com as I just found a Q&A that indicates this was better. So as of Wed at 5:45 PM all my links to the homepage went to index.html and not the root which is no longer the case. Not sure if this matters. At the same time I also just put a 301 from index.html to redirect to www.njlimocarservice.com. Any help appreciated! h9QuF.png

Site wide links
I have a few website that centralize spefic news (business news) from other sites and show the article source. The question is: The sites provide about 100.000 backlinks to 3 other sites. Do i remove the site wide links and keep them only on the front page or i keep them? Tjank you

What percentage of an old post can I change without lose rank?
A few months ago I updated some old posts of my site (Wordpress), to improve old content, with new pictures (better quality), better content, new info about product, and links to our review of this product (newer posts). Most part of the content is this old posts were new, so I "deleted" the old text but replaced the new one with another of better quality. I suppose it will help new post to improve rank, but I los thousands of daily visits, because old posts ranks worse since the change. What do you think? What happened here? Maybe I shouldn't update the whole text, only add a link to new content? Thank you!
