What percentage of an old post can I change without lose rank?

A few months ago I updated some old posts of my site (Wordpress), to improve old content, with new pictures (better quality), better content, new info about product, and links to our review of this product (newer posts).
Most part of the content is this old posts were new, so I "deleted" the old text but replaced the new one with another of better quality.
I suppose it will help new post to improve rank, but I los thousands of daily visits, because old posts ranks worse since the change.
What do you think? What happened here? Maybe I shouldn't update the whole text, only add a link to new content?

If your posts are getting good traffic and rank well already, I recommend writing a new post and putting a link at the top of the old post saying that you have created an updated article.
You can never be sure what the "magic sauce" was that made Google like your original article.

Keyword are not ranking
Hello, Recently We have a taken a project " http://customerconnect-services.com/ " and are responsible for the Digital Marketing for the website. FYI, we have been following the best On-Page SEO practices ever since we took the project: Performing Keyword Research, Finalizing the Keywords,Using those in the Page-Title, Meta-Descriptions, Heading Tags and of course in the Content as per MOZ suggestions & SEO standards. But, we are unable to rank in first page; all the considered keywords have a ranking of 51+ which is a serious matter of concern for us. We have also checked whether the Domain / URL has been blacklisted, but it's not (Not even by Google). We are therefore unable to figure out what is going wrong even after following so many best practices to get the keywords a good ranking (1st & 2nd page of SERPs). Therefore I would like to request you to provide your expert opinions in this regard by checking what is it that we are not getting right. The website is euro t20 slam As this is a high-priority issue for us & the client is a prestigious one of course, please help.Looking forward to hearing from you at the earliest.

Rebuild or not all old links while http to https migration
I moved website https://mobile.designer-vip.com/ from http to https protocol but I am not sure that I need to rebuild all old links to this website.Would I need to change all old links from http to https to save weight of links.

Wrong page ranking and rank drop, help!
Dear Moz community I would like to hear your advice about our current SEO problems. Our website is www.poolsonline.nl. This is a website where people can learn the Polish language on our website. This website has been online since 2007. The website got really outdated, so we built and launched a new version on March 1st (one month ago). We have created a salespage that we would like to rank for the keywords 'cursus Pools' (Polish course) first of all and 'pools leren' (learn Polish) secondly. The page is https://www.poolsonline.nl/cursus-pools-leren-spreken/ The old website was on rank 4-5 (roughly) for 'cursus Pools' and 'pools leren'. When we launched the new website we were on the top 5 with two of our pages. We were even on rank 1 and our salespage was also showing on the first page and often also in the top 5 (below the 'wrong' page of ours). We got quite a lot of trafic and new clients. However the problem was that the wrong page was ranking higher. We wanted our salespage to rank and not our home page (https://www.poolsonline.nl/) and not our free lesson (https://www.poolsonline.nl/lessen/groeten-en-gesprek-voeren-in-het-pools-les-1/). So what we did: Read/watched recourses about this problem: https://moz.com/blog/wrong-page-ranks-for-keywords-whiteboard-friday and https://moz.com/blog/wrong-page-ranking-in-the-results-6-common-causes-5-solutions and others. Removed the keywords (cursus pools en Pools leren) from the wrong pages (home and free lesson pages). Optimized the Salespage for these keywords Improved internal linking with these key words to our salespage Worked on link building for our salepage. We got about 5-10 links to our salespage in the first week of March (5 seems to be significant for this competition and we are working on more). These links are not yet in Moz OSE, but Google has indexed these pages and links. We are now on the bottom of page 1 or on page 2 for 'cursus Pools' and 'Pools leren' and not with the desired page Questions we have for you to help us: Why do you think our salespage is not showing up anymore for these keywords ('cursus pools' and 'pools leren')? Do you think we got a penalty for over optimization or bad links? What can we more to get our salespage to rank for these keywords? (we are working on building/earning more links) What can we do to restore our rankings and not drop lower anymore? Do we need to give our efforts more time? How long? Any other adivce? Penguin 2.0 Loss of rankings
Hi all, My website http://www.tomlondonmagic.com has been hit hard by penguin. I was rank 1 for magician london, magician in london, magicians in london and now am ranking around 3-4 😞 I need to recover fast, anyone have any idea how to do this, what strategy to employ. It would be much appreciated as I have never been hit by an update so not sure on how to recover from one. Thanks!

Mentions without links
Just curious, is there any SEO value if another site/blog mentions my site but doesn't create a hyperlink. My site happens to have a lot of amateur bloggers who write "we used TVFoodMaps for our trip" but don't actually link to my site. I'm wondering if that does anything for my SEO value and should I contact them and ask for the reference to be turned into a link? Thoughts?

Why have my rankings suddenly plummeted?
My site has been ranking well for the last couple of weeks on it's primary term "glee fansite" and now the rankings literally plummeted 5 days ago and now it is around 22 for "glee fansite" and many of it's other terms have just dropped out completely!
