About DA of the Website
-
Hi There,
I would like to know why one of my website - https://patnalocalguide.com Domain Authority is not improving. It is not going up and down but it is maintaining its score between 10 since last 5 months. Not going above 10 or below. Why is it so? I'm conitnuously working on creating backlinks for the website and the DR score on Ahref improving but the DA is not. What steps to follow to increase DA? How to find out whats going wrong with our present strategy?
-
5 months is not that much. I'd start to worry after 9month or more. DA bursting is a slow process.

Hi there,
Whilst it's worth keeping an eye on your DA, I woudn't worry too much about it. I'd recommend focusing more on seeing if your organic search traffic is improving that making sure that it's improving over time. DA can be affected by many different things and it could be that you've created good links but Moz hasn't discovered them or processed them yet. This is likely to be the case if DR from Ahrefs is going up but DA isn't.
Also, DA works on a logarithmic scale which means that the higher your DA goes, the harder it is to make it go up.
Overall, keep an eye on it but as long as you're building good links, doing good on-page SEO etc and seeing your traffic increase, don't worry too much.
Hope that helps!
Paddy

Hi there,
You should wait and your DA will go up at some point.

Moving my website to Wordpress, what are the possible consequences?
I am moving my website to WordPress after years. I am curious to know what the best route to maintain as much SEO value as possible would be. We have a lot of 301 redirects currently, and we will maintain those, but what else should we do or know? Thanks for any help.

Desktop vs. Mobile Website - ranking impact
Working on develop mobile pages using dynamic serving method, we are planing on only develop number of important pages (not the whole site) to be mobile friendly. To keep the consistency of the user experience, the new mobile site will only have internal links to pages that are mobile friend. Questions: If an existing non-mobile page ranking #1 on mobile SERP today, this page will not have a mobile friendly version, and will not link in the mobilefriendly site. will there be any impact to the ranking. Assuming: When Google mobile/Smartphone bots will not see a link to this page. The page will still accessible to Google desktop bots.

Quickest way to deindex large parts of a website
Hey there, my clients website was set up with subdirectories for almost every country in the world plus multiple languages in each country. The content in each subfolder is (almost) identical. So no surprise: They have a big problem with duplicate content and ranking fluctuations. Since they don't want to change the site's structure I recommended limiting the languages available in each subfolder with robots.txt. However before doing this we marked the contents to be exluded with noindex, nofollow. It's only been 2 days now but I hardly notice any decline in the number of indexed pages. I was therefore wondering if it would speed up things if I marked the pages with just noindex instead of noindex and nofollow. It would be great if you could share your thoughts on that. Cheers, Jochen Hey there,

Location Pages On Website vs Landing pages
We have been having a terrible time in the local search results for 20 + locations. I have Places set up and all, but we decided to create location pages on our sites for each location - brief description and content optimized for our main service. The path would be something like .com/location/example. One option that has came up in question is to create landing pages / "mini websites" that would probably be location-example.url.com. I believe that the latter option, mini sites for each location, would be a bad idea as those kinds of tactics were once spammy in the past. What are are your thoughts and and resources so I can convince my team on the best practice.

Links via Commenting on Popular website. Does it work?
Getting links from popular website using real name or brand name as comment still works? I know that anchor tags in name while commenting on other sites would directly go to spam.

Getting over that DA hump...
Hi All, I have a client with a sizeable international manufacturing operation who we've managed to get up to a DA of 40 over time. However, things seem to have levelled out, and I'm not sure how to mix it up to get the numbers back on the rise. We create regular blog and social content, run press releases bi-weekly, optimize on-page content and stay on top of all technical issues. What else can we do?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, Thanks.

External links from banned websites
Currently working with a client that has seen his rankings diminish after the penguin update. I've manually analyzed all his 600 backlinks and identified approximately 85 external links from websites that have been banned by Google. How do these sites affect his current rankings? Should i just disavow all these links using the Google disavow tool? Any comments would be highly appreciated!
