I want to know about the Impact of Do-follow backlinks and No-follow backlinks for increasing DA.
-
Have Do-follow backlinks and No-Follow backlinks same value to increase Domain Authority in Moz? Recently, I have created 290 profile backlinks which was do-follow. But from yesterday I have seen all backlinks are no-follow now according to the decision of sites' owners. My site's DA has already increased up to 35. Will this DA fall gradually from now?
Apart from it, if I have created same backlinks for my another site; will my DA be 35? Please try to clarify it.
My site is: Homeworkpaper.net
Thanks. Waiting for your valuable answer from Moz official.

Do-follow and no-follow backlinks can both contribute to increasing Domain Authority (DA), but their impact differs.
-
Do-follow Backlinks:
- These are links that allow search engines to follow them and pass authority from the linking site to the linked site.
- Do-follow backlinks from high-authority and relevant sites can significantly boost a website's DA.
- They indicate to search engines that other reputable websites trust your content enough to link to it, which can positively impact your site's authority and search engine rankings.
- However, the impact of individual do-follow backlinks on DA depends on various factors such as the authority of the linking domain, relevance of the linking page, anchor text used, and the overall link profile of the website.
-
No-follow Backlinks:
- These are links that include a rel="nofollow" attribute in the HTML code, instructing search engines not to pass authority from the linking site to the linked site.
- While no-follow backlinks may not directly contribute to increasing DA, they can still have indirect benefits.
- No-follow backlinks can drive referral traffic to your site, which can indirectly improve your site's visibility and authority.
- They also contribute to a more natural and diverse backlink profile, which can be beneficial for SEO in the long run.
- Additionally, getting mentioned or linked from reputable sites, even if they are no-follow, can enhance your brand's credibility and authority within your industry.
In summary, while do-follow backlinks are generally more valuable for directly influencing DA, both types of backlinks play a role in improving a website's overall authority and SEO performance. It's essential to focus on acquiring high-quality backlinks from authoritative and relevant sources, whether they are do-follow or no-follow, to effectively increase your site's DA over time.

In an ideal world organically growing your link profile would require both do-follow and nofollow backlinks. In your link building efforts make every effort to generate both.
I must say though that it might be a little harder to match them at 50:50 because getting do-follow links has increasingly become harder from reputable sites. Take Moz for example, I could quite easily get a nofollow to my website https://carrentaluganda.info/ but getting Moz to give you a dofollow is near impossible. So while you try to grab a bit of both to keep your profile healthy, you shouls not get furastrated at the fact that you are not attracting as much dofollows which are the main driver of link Juice. Happy hunting and cheers.

So, a business will wanta a mixture of do-follow and no-follow quality backlinks.
Most importantly, these links need to be relevant to your business, high quality, and built-in a white hat way.
What we mean by relevant is if you run lets, say, a business in the automotive sector and you manufacture, let's say, car turbos,
then will you need links from other automotive-related websites.
For example, we manufacture wooden summerhouses, so we want links from other construction websites that will help to improve our organic SEO.

Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

Domain Authority (DA) in Moz Pro changed only within the last 1-2 months?
Has anyone noticed that the Domain Authority (DA) as reported in Moz Pro has changed only within the last 1-2 months? We have screen shots showing plots of DA vs competitors w/ line graph 2 months ago starting in NOV 2017 which today starting JAN 2018 and comparing shows DA up to 50% different!

The change is seen both in the Links Overview and under the Spam Score sections still marked "NEW". Can Moz confirm that it's only recently within the last 2 months that in Moz Pro the NEW DA numbers have retroactively been updated even though the new Link Explorer has been publicly out since APR 30 from https://moz.com/community/q/moz-s-new-link-explorer-including-our-revamped-index-and-da-pa-scores-is-now-open-to-everyone? Look at the top green line starting ~12 months ago on both graphs, w/ old below 40 and new above 50. We've seen even greater differences for other tracked domains. Thanks! view0 -

I know that it has backlinks as I created them myself, and I know its crawlable and the links is there as GWT tells me so. Also you can check for yourself on ahrefs.com. Is Moz indexed pages that much smaller then the other crawlers? The site in question is amanandvan247.com. Thanks.
