Question about Link Juice
-
Hi Everyone,
I have a couple of articles on which I have some internal links towards other articles.
My questions are the following:
Are the links in the header menu or the footer of the page take away from the juice of the article by spreading it?
Do the outbound links coming out of my article, do they have any impact on spreading the link juice of my internal links?Thank you in advance for your valuable inputs.

Link juice is a non-technical SEO term used to reference the SEO value of a hyperlink to a particular website or webpage.
According to Google, a multitude of quality hyperlinks (or just “links”) are one of the most important factors for gaining top rankings in the Google search engine.
The term “link juice” is SEO industry jargon. It’s often talked about in relation to link-building efforts such as guest posting, blogger outreach, linkbait, and broken link building.

Hey there, anwarjutt90!
Internal links are useful spreading link equity (or link juice, as you put it). While there is no definite answer on how many links you should include on a page, or exactly where they should be, I would encourage you to look at this from a user experience point of view. Do you want your users to land on this page, see the header link, immediately click on it, and leave the page? Would that be useful to them? If so, I would leave the link in place! But if exiting the page immediately will only distract them from consuming valuable content, I would consider omitting the link from the header, and putting it somewhere that's more useful.
Also remember - internal links are useful for establishing site architecture! So if the pages you are linking TO are important, perhaps you should consider moving them up in your site architecture.

Link juice - What could be the reason for our bad internal page Page Authority
So OK we have a domain authority currently of 41, we are well established but unfortunately we don't have any pages with PA. I have a fair idea of why this is the case but want to get some other opinions before I form my strategy. 1.It appears our internal link structure is not great and is not very organised 2. It appears we have 58 links going externally on some pages. Some of these external links are social media icons in the footer which are followed. Is there any other factors I should be aware of when building PA on some of my inner pages. Any Thoughts would be appreciated.

Outgoing links
Hi Guy's, We have a website with no outgoing links (only Facebook). Is this a good way to score better in the SERPS? Or is it better to have some outgoing "relevant" links for a natural linkjuice? Thanks!

Old links
I am looking to remove some old directory links that now look spammy. Some years ago the site was redesigned. The links are all to the old pages url, which is 301 redirected to the new. If we remove the 301 and let the page 404, will that suffice in Googles eyes?

Outbound links
We are working with a large, global customer that has asked us to link to their website from about 5,000 pages of our website. The links would either point to one page on their website, or they would point to specific pages throughout their website. Is this a bad thing from an SEO perspective, as in - would either of us be penalized from search engines for doing this?

Domain Question
Hello fellow SEOmozers! I'm trying to register a domain name that contains keywords for my business, however the .com is obviously taken (however its just a parked domain without a site) so I have an option to get either .co .us or .net I wanted to know if the domain extension makes any difference for the search engine or does having .com gives you an advantage over having .co .us or .net? Thanks for your input!!!

Do links within imbeddable widgets carry link juice?
I'm dipping my toes into infographic design. On of my desired outcomes is to gain links by having other sites embed my graphic. I'm considering using Tableau's interactive data visualization software to do so; thus creating a widget, embedding it on my blog, and including the embed code for others to post. Is it possible to include a juice passing link in such an infographic? I know its possible to include links inside the tableau graphic but not sure if they have straight SEO value. If these links are not juice passing would it be better to go with a simple image link that passes value?
