How to compare Spam scores quarter to quarter
-
I would like to see how the SEO amends that I have been making have reduced my Spam score in Moz Pro. Can you let me know if this is possible and, if so, where I would go get this?

To compare spam scores quarterly, collect data from each quarter's spam reports, analyze spam volume trends, and evaluate changes in spam characteristics. Use statistical tools to quantify variation and identify patterns. This helps you evaluate spam mitigation strategies over time.

Gather Data: Collect the spam scores for each quarter that you want to compare. Ensure that you have the spam scores for the same time duration in each quarter. For example, if you are comparing Q1 of 2022 to Q1 of 2023, make sure you have the spam scores for January, February, and March of both years.
Calculate Average Score: Calculate the average spam score for each quarter. Add up all the individual spam scores for the quarter and divide the sum by the total number of spam scores. This will give you the average spam score for each quarter.
Normalize Scores: To make the comparison more meaningful, you can normalize the spam scores. Normalize the scores by dividing each score by the maximum possible score or by scaling them to a specific range (e.g., 0 to 100). This will help in removing any discrepancies due to different scales or maximum values.
Visualize the Comparison: Plot a line graph or a bar graph to visualize the comparison of spam scores quarter to quarter. Label the x-axis with the quarters (e.g., Q1 2022, Q2 2022, etc.) and the y-axis with the normalized or average spam scores. You can use a different color for each quarter to make it easier to distinguish between them.
Analyze the Trends: Analyze the graph to identify any trends or patterns in the spam scores over the quarters. Look for any significant increases or decreases in the scores and note any outliers or anomalies. This analysis will help you understand the changes in spam activity over time.
Draw Conclusions: Based on the trends and patterns you observe, draw conclusions about the effectiveness of spam prevention measures or any other factors that might be influencing the spam scores. Identify any quarter-to-quarter improvements or areas that require further attention.

Here are the steps you might take:
Record Initial Spam Scores: Use Moz's Link Explorer tool or API to record the spam scores of the domains you're interested in. Make sure to do this at the end of the quarter to ensure that your data aligns with your quarterly comparisons.
Organize Your Data: Put your data in a spreadsheet, such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, where you can easily compare the scores. Each domain should have its own row, and each column should represent a quarter.
Record Spam Scores Each Quarter: At the end of each quarter, repeat step 1 and add the new scores to your spreadsheet.
Analyze the Data: With this setup, you can easily see how each domain's spam score has changed from quarter to quarter. You can calculate the change in percentage and observe the trends.
Visualize the Data: To further understand and present the data, you might choose to create graphs or charts that show the changes over time. This can help you spot trends and patterns that might not be immediately obvious from the raw data.

Spam score very high but it's not clear in MOZ, it looks like a bucle
Hey there, I've a problem with this domain www.cornerjob.com In OSE just saw a spam score very high and so, I tried to see backlinks' profile in order to find suspicious backlinks. But in OSE there's a bucle, I mean: I know my domain has a high spam score but I cannot see any bad backlinks, actually the only one I see it's the same www.cornerjob.com...for that, It's a bucle. I tried to use other tools but I wasn't able to see backlinks, actually we don't have many. What Should I do in order to fix it? What does spam score mean? Thanks in advance Francesca

Comparing with Open Site Explorer
Hi, I am trying to compare a website that has a url of e.g. https://mysite.com on Open Site Explorer. Any idea how to do this? It will only compare it when I use www and it also doesn't accept https. So I am comparing www.mysite.com which has redirects on it https://mysite.com but I am worried it's not comparing the right stats? If this makes sense and you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Twitter Page Authority Score?
I've been doing some competitive research in Open Site Explorer and many of our competitors have Twitter accounts very similar to ours. Their Twitter pages are usually one of the pages with linking to their website with the most Page Authority. The incoming links from Twitter are a "no follow" as you would guess. This has been the case for a large number of well ranking sites I have looked at. www.dremed.com also has a Twitter account at: https://twitter.com/#!/DREmed . However, Open Site Explorer does not list the Twitter link as an incoming link at all ( or if it does it has no Page Authority ). The Twitter account page seems very similar in nature to other competing Twitter pages. I'm not sure why it does not ALSO pull a high Page Authority score??? Do you know why this might be? Best, Justin

Different Moz Scores Between Page and Subdomain
The Moz scores for a page-specific website:: www.website.com are different than the subdomain: www.website.com/. www.website.com: Page MozRank: 4.58
Moz Pro | | DanSpeicher
Page MozTrust: 4.9 www.website.com/ Subdomain MozRank: 5.21
Subdomain MozTrust 5.18 Does that have any significance? Should I be routing pages to the " / " version? Thanks, Daniel0 -
