Anybody tried the content syndication network SYNND?
-
I know, I know, you should really create great content that attracts great links, but if you're looking to outsource, what do you think about an outfit like SYNND http://synnd.com/ ?
I'm worried that it may be shady or that the links will end up leaving a footprint and that the links will not help promote the content and only end up hurting rankings. Any thoughts?
Are there any good paid link building services? Not sure who to trust.
Thanks!

This is shady, but it probably would leave very minor footprints. It also would likely deliver you few if any quality links unless you create quality content. Good link building services come from good link building agencies. Go take a peak on the SEOMoz recommended list - http://www.seomoz.org/marketplace/companies/recommended

What qualities to look for when trying to find sites to get backlinks from?
When trying to build backlinks, of course some sites are much harder to get links on than others. I am trying to figure out which sites my time and effort is best spent trying to get a link on. I may view a site as important and high quality but Google may not. Which tools and metrics within MOZ should I look at to determine if a site is worth the effort to get a backlink from? I'm sure "Domain Authority" is a factor. Which number makes it definitely worth pursuing?

How much 'ranking power' would a link from a privacy policy page of a Big Brand have if the site content is totally unrelated?
Let's say that Site A is a large brand with high authority ( Moz shows it at 90 DA). Site A is about “Blue Shoes”. Site B is about “fishing”. If Site A links from their privacy policy page to Site B … would that inbound link carry enough weight in a way that could impact rankings for Site B given that the content is totally unrelated and it's a link from a privacy policy? I’m asking if the work to get clients/partners do this help. I have a hypothetical question for you all! Site A is a large brand with high authority ( Moz shows it at 90 DA). Site A is about “Blue Shoes”. Site B is about “fishing”. If site A links from their privacy policy to Site B … would that inbound link carry enough weight in a way that could impact rankings? ★Does syndication of a news features from high Profile site like TechCrunch have a negative SEO impact?
As a co-founder of a startup that is weekly featured on high page rank news sites such as TechCrunch, The Next Web, TreeHugger , Yahoo News etc. These types of write ups are "SEO Gold" as they are high page rank sites with high relevancy to our sector and with unique good quality anchor text and copy. However... Within hours of each post going live the content and links are syndicated either via RSS or scraped and appear as duplicate content on in some cases 100's of very low quality and low relevancy content aggregation sites. To give you an example here are just two of the sites that are now appearing as linking domains due to this syndicated content and the links included in the article. Examples : Eco Market, The “Etsy For Eco,” Rebrands, Revamps, Raises & Prepares A U.S. Launch Sarah Perez | Technology | Page 4 The above are just a couple of examples amongst 100's that result from each feature. I would like to hear you opinion on if these links would be considered natural and you feel I should not take action or if you think these need removing by contacting the webmasters or disavowing the links? I am sure I cant be alone in having this problem and look forward to hearing you advice and tips

Blog Networks
We have found a couple of blogs that would be good for some unique content but I suspect they may be part of a network. Apart from checking the IP and for duplicate content of them both, are there any other signs that they may be part of a network?

Risks with sharing my original content with other sites
We write our own unique content to our blog a few times a week. The content is written by professionals (doctors and such) and carries a bit of authority. We periodically get requests from other websites who want to post our content on their blog. We also find that some people will just go ahead and use our exact content (often with a link attribution), without asking permission. Is there any risk of us not getting credit for being the original source of the content if others use it in its entirety? Are there other risks? And more importantly, what should we do to make sure we're getting the SEO credit we deserve? Some ideas which have been discussed that may or may not have credence: Only let others use the exact content well after we've been crawled, so we'll be seen as the first publisher Only let people cite the introductory paragraph, with a link allowing them to read more at our site (with good anchor text) Require people to summarize our story, with a link for the full story Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

SeoMoz duplicate content
Hi all, There's a lot of controversy around duplicated content. If you google "The New SEO Process (Quit Being Kanye)" you'll get tones of results with a copied content from the original article. How does google manages this? (duplicated or not) Is this good for the original content/website? Thank you Cornel

Duplicate Content, Replicated Websites, Noindex Type Question.. Need Advice Please
So I am working for a Multi-Level Marketing Company. The members each get their own website which is a wilcard subdomain. So we have example.com (Main site) mysite.example.com (Replicated) They both are literally the same content and I have chosen to noindex, nofollow the subdomains, but as a SEO that presents a problem with linkbuilding. However, the member only gets credit (think affiliates) if the click comes from their subdomain. I don't want duplicate content penalties and I don't want the members to possibly lose out on a sale that would otherwise just be credited to the company if the link was redirected to the main site instead. Did I make the right decision?
