Hi,

I recently ran a campaign and got 3 4XX (Client Error)

My question is how do i find the links that are causing this errors because it seems that are no broken link on the site in question? I have tested all the links on the site

Will appreciate your help thanks.

Thank you Erica,

Actually used Xenu link before but didn't know where to find the broken links but with your suggestion I took a closer look. I can now trace the pages with the broken links thanks.

I would use Xenu Link Sleuth to double-check for broken links and see what it finds. It will tell you if something's broken from a bot's point-of-view.

Hello I actually see some websites which the owner don't want to display the google+ profile avatar when homepage is displayed in search result, except blog posts only For example: yoast.com Is it a good practice in wordpress? or we must claim authorship & display the google+ avatar for all pages & all posts? How to make video snapshot appear near your search result

What's the proper way to have google display a video near the search result for my webpage (I'm using LeadPlayer to play videos). I think that the information regarding the video is there (I also submitted a video sitemap) but when I do a search the author picture is displayed instead of the video. Have I set anything wrong? How can I display the video if my post contains a video? You can try searching "phraseexpander create customizable templates" There's my youtube video and then the result from my webpage http://www.phraseexpander.com I would like to display the video as a result. Some of my pages have KWs in common and google is switching those resulting in rank loss, how to fix that?

Hello, my site deals with pictures you can download and print for free. Because people search for it I have several page with similar content. For example: picture of dog free printing image of dog free printing painting of dog free printing picture of cat free printing image of cat free printing painting of cat free printing Just as an example. Now after tracking my ranks I found out that google changes those sites in the rankings. For example for the kw picture of dog free printing the site for picture of dog free printing is in the rankings but on another day it is image of dog free printing and on another painting of dog free printing. So those Google is switching the pages for one kw some times and it seems each time it does that I'm loosing rankings. I'm thinking it is because image of dog free printing and painting of dog free printing isn't as well optimized as the page that should appear: picture of dog free printing. With the more general kw of free printing it is even more complicated. I get some traffic through free printing (just an example) and all 6 example pages are being shown in the google search results from one day to another and again it looses some rank each time. What can I do to stop this?

A "show all" category for products resulting in to many on-page links

I've got reports from my seomoz pro campaign that I have more than 100 on-page links on a page of my ecommerce store. This page is a "show all" category displaying ALL products from ALL my categories on the site. So it is NOT a "show all" for displaying all products in a certain category on one page instead of having to click through page 1, page 2 etc. What I don't clearly understand is why I get this from the reports, as it does not display all products in one single page. What it does is gathering all products from all categories in one place, but instead of showing all products in one page it is divided into pages 1 - 13. What should I do to resolve this? Could it be the seomoz campaign giving me an incorrect result? Appreciate you taking the time to help! Thank you.

Page title changes based on results per page

I have a product listing that allows customers to set a results per page option. This ads a GET variable to the URL. I've added the page number to the title of this page if they go past the first page. If this results per page variable is added to the URL then google see it as a different page. Do I need to change the page title for this?

Replacing "_" with "-" in url, results in new url?

We ran SEOmoz's "On-Page Optimization" tool on a url which contains the character "_". According to the tool: "Characters which are less commonly used in URLs may cause problems with accessibility, interpretation and ranking in search engines. It is considered a best practice to stick to standard URL structures to avoid potential problems." "Rewrite the URL to contain only standard characters." Therefore we will rewrite the url, replacing "_" with "-". Will search engines consider the "-" url a different one? Do we need to 301 the old url to the new one? Thanks for your help!
