Unsolved Using Weglot on wordpress (errors)
-
Good day to you all,
Does anyone have experience of the errors being pulled up by Moz about the utility of the weglot plugin on Wordpress?
Moz is pulling up URLs such as:
https://www.ibizacc.com/es/chapparal-2/?wg-choose-original=false
These are classified under "redirect issues" and 99% of the pages are with the ?wg-choose parameter in the URL.
Is this having an actual negative impact on my search or is it something more Moz related being highlighted. Any advice be appreciated and a resolution ..
Im thinking I could exclude this parameter.

You're encountering flags from Moz regarding redirect issues on URLs with the ?wg-choose parameter likely related to the Weglot plugin for WordPress. Here's the breakdown:
The Issue: URLs with the ?wg-choose parameter indicate Weglot's involvement in language selection. Moz might be flagging these as redirects because the parameter alters the URL.
Impact on SEO: While these flags might seem concerning, the impact on SEO is likely minimal. The parameter itself doesn't necessarily redirect users, and search engines are increasingly sophisticated at handling dynamic URLs.
Possible Solutions:Exclude the Parameter: You can explore excluding the ?wg-choose parameter in Moz's settings if it's causing clutter in your reports. This wouldn't change the plugin's functionality but would remove those specific flags.
Focus on High-Impact Issues: Moz offers valuable insights, but prioritize addressing critical SEO issues like broken links or slow page speed over these potentially minor flags.
In a nutshell, these Weglot-related flags might be more Moz-related than a critical SEO concern.Chat GPT is a large language model from OpenAI that you can use to find the causses and fixes of your WordPress errors.

@skvisaguruku Despite my efforts in Bing Webmaster Tools, the site gets indexed seamlessly on Google, but the Bing.com search engine consistently refuses to index the homepage. I've taken several steps to address this issue, including submitting XML sitemaps, enhancing the homepage copy, optimizing site loading times, disavowing spam and poor-quality backlinks, and repeatedly requesting indexing. I've even installed the IndexNow plugin to improve the chances of getting indexed. Despite investing both time and money into resolving this issue, it persists. This leads me to question whether the domain might be penalized in Bing, prompting me to consider the possibility of starting over with a new domain.

Good day!
The errors being flagged by Moz related to the weglot plugin on WordPress, specifically the URLs with the "?wg-choose" parameter, fall under "redirect issues." While Moz identifies these, it's crucial to assess whether they have a tangible negative impact on your search performance.
Considering the nature of the parameter and its prevalence in the flagged URLs, it seems more Moz-related than a direct SEO concern. To potentially address this, you can consider excluding the "?wg-choose" parameter, which might resolve the issue flagged by Moz. However, it's essential to monitor your site's overall performance and search rankings independently to ensure there are no unintended consequences.

Hello,
The URLs you mentioned with the "?wg-choose" parameter are flagged by Moz as "redirect issues." This may not necessarily have a direct negative impact on your search rankings, but it could be affecting how Moz crawls and analyzes your website.
To address this in Moz, you might consider excluding the "?wg-choose" parameter in your Moz settings. However, it's essential to ensure that this parameter doesn't play a critical role in your website's functionality before making changes.
If these URLs are not causing issues in terms of user experience or search performance, it could be a Moz-specific matter rather than a critical SEO concern. You may want to monitor your website's overall performance and seek assistance from Moz support for a more tailored solution.
Best regards.

@alwaysbeseen Hello,
Yes, I have experience with Moz reporting issues related to the Weglot plugin on WordPress. The URLs you provided with the "?wg-choose" parameter are being classified under "redirect issues" by Moz. It's crucial to assess whether these issues are impacting your search performance or if they are more specific to Moz's reporting.
Considering that 99% of the pages are flagged with this parameter, it's worth investigating the potential impact on your search visibility. One solution could be excluding this parameter to see if it resolves the reported issues.
I recommend testing the exclusion of the "?wg-choose" parameter and monitoring the impact on your site's performance. Additionally, you may want to reach out to Weglot's support or community forums to see if others have experienced similar issues and if there are specific recommendations for optimizing the plugin's performance.
Best of luck with resolving the issue!

@alwaysbeseen Good day! Yes, Moz is highlighting "redirect issues" related to URLs with the "?wg-choose" parameter when using the Weglot plugin on WordPress. While Moz is flagging these as potential problems, it's important to assess whether they are negatively impacting your search performance.
The presence of parameters in URLs can sometimes cause search engines to treat them as separate pages, potentially affecting SEO. In this case, it seems like a parameter related to the Weglot plugin.
To address this, considering excluding the "?wg-choose" parameter could be a viable solution. This can be done through tools like Google Search Console or by configuring your website's robots.txt file. However, it's crucial to monitor your website's performance after making changes to ensure there are no unintended consequences.
Remember, Moz is a tool that provides insights, and while it's a valuable resource, the actual impact on search results may vary. Regularly monitoring your website's performance and staying informed about SEO best practices will help ensure a positive online presence. If you have further questions or concerns, consulting with a professional SEO expert could provide tailored advice for your specific situation.

I have used my keyword only 12 times but on-page grader shows it 40 times?
Hey experts, I hope you are doing great, kindly have a look at this page, my keyword for this page is "Sports Streaming Sites". The text has a length of 5344 words and I'm using my keyword in this post as follow: 1. Text Body: 12 times(including headers)
Moz Pro | | louisaclark1
2. Alt tags: 10 times (20+ Images)
3. Title: 1 Time
4. Description: 1 Time
5. Permalink: 1 Time This is a total of 25 times in 5344 words, but when I check this page with moz on-page grader, it shows that I'm using this keyword 40 times and its stuffed, can anybody please explain it to me, I'm so confused and it'll be so nice of you. Here is the on-page grader report page: https://analytics.moz.com/pro/research/page-grader?keyword=Sports%20Streaming%20Sites&url=https%3A%2F%2Firiveramerica.com%2Ffree-best-sports-streaming-sites%2F0 -
Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title & Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once
Hi Folks, I have a page https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-training/itil-foundation-training/itil-foundation that grades with the 'On-Page Grader' as a B grade for the keyword 'itil foundation' but reports that there is no 'Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title' and 'Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once'. The thing is, it actually is but because of IP (intellectual property) rights we have to include a '®' (®) symbol when we mention the course title 'ITIL® Foundation'. Now I believe Google is smart enough to recognise that this symbol should not be included but it seems that for the specific criteria mentioned above, the MOZ bot isn't smart enough to recognise this, even though it recognises the keyword usage elsewhere. So my question is this. Would this constitute an issue in terms of ranking? Another question I have, is how significant are the gains with shorter URL's? For example, the URL to the page in question is: https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-training/itil-foundation-training/itil-foundation Would a URL such as below have a significant effect on SEO?: https://purplegriffon.com/courses/itil-foundation Thanks for your feedback.

I have a new website and would like to use the keywords my competitors are using and was wondering the best way to take a look using Moz Pro?
The website is www.fapwrap.com - it's a new adult wall decals website. [editor's note: may not be safe for some workplaces] The wall decals we have are obviously a bit more niche than the bigger competitors, but I want to get into the first page to see how it helps us. I'm slowly taking over some kws like "xbox wraps" and "ps4 wraps" but those have low search volume and I feel like "wall decals" will help - though it's highly competitive. Suggestions? I just kinda want to plug in my competition and pick from their list of existing kws..... Ha.

Crawl Diagnostics Error Spike
With the last crawl update to one of my sites there was a huge spike in errors reported. The errors jumped by 16,659 -- majority of which are under the duplicate title and duplicate content category. When I look at the specific issues it seems that the crawler is crawling a ton of blank pages on the sites blog through pagination. The odd thing is that the site has not been updated in a while and prior to this crawl on Jun 4th there were no reports of these blank pages. Is this something that can be an error on the crawler side of things? Any suggestions on next steps would be greatly appreciated. I'm adding an image of the error spike Xovep.jpg?1 Xovep.jpg?1

How do you use mozMetrics
How does everyone use the mozMetrics (mozRank, mozTrust, Domain Authority, Page Authority) with their clients? Do they ask you what these metrics mean and if so how do you explain it to them?
