Unsolved Wild fluctuations in ranking, any thoughts on why or what to do about it?
-
We have a keyword which is important to us and used to have rock steady rankings for over a decade. Over the past 9 months or so it has been fluctuating all over the place. Jumping up or down 20 places or so overnight.
Any thoughts on this behaviour and what we should be doing to stabilise the ranking?

Some times It happens, Because time to time google update various algorithm so that ranking will fluctuations.

Fluctuating keyword rankings can happen due to several factors. We've all been there at some point. As mentioned here, the recent Google algorithm update might have affected your keyword's ranking. Does your website have fresh, high-quality content? Regularly update your pages and add new relevant content. Check and improve your site's technical SEO, including page speed and mobile-friendliness. Build quality backlinks from reputable sites. Analyze your competitors to see what they're doing differently. Monitor these factors and implement the changes where needed; that should help stabilize your rankings.

I think i quickly answered this, but to provide a more detailed answer, after the Google Helpful Content update, businesses really seen massive changes in where they ranked on Google.
So, we had updates, in the past, Google Penguin, etc, targeting link spam. This update was different,
The Google helpful content update looked at how useful, how much does the written work, meet the standards set out in Google E-EAT.
So, our best advice would be, contact an SEO company, for some advice, which pages/ blog posts are weak, need improving, make gradual improvements, improve the whole websites content marketing, over time rankings should improved.
However, word of advice, do consult with an expert SEO consultant on this, as if the improvements are not done right, rankings can drop further. so hire the best SEO company, and get good advice, as rankings can drop, as well as move up.

It could be because of a Google algorithm update, so our advice would be wait for “ranking flux” to settle, then see what changes need to be made.

Unsolved Keyword data hasnt updated in over a month
I have already talked to Moz support and it was unhelpful. A large part of why I am paying for this membership is to track my company's overall rankings and keyword data. It has been well over a month since the last update when I search my company's name under "keyword research" and search by site. It hasn't budged yet it says it updates every two weeks. What gives? What value is Moz even providing to me?

Unsolved Getting keywords to rank on new landing pages
I've built new landing pages for a website, and have loaded them with researched keywords in the content, alt image attributes and metas etc - but, after a number of crawls, the keywords are currently being matched to other existing web pages on the website. Does anyone have any advice on 'unlatching' these keywords from these pages, and instead getting them to match with pages that have been optimised for them? Many thanks!

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? Why would a website rank lower than weaker site?
Hi, Today I noticed that my website is ranking one place lower than a competitor in Google UK ,despite my site having a stronger domain authority and page authority. Is there a plausible reason for this, i'm slightly confused? Thanks,

Is there any way to see how one my keywords ranked historically before I started tracking it?
Hello there! I'm in need of some historical data on some keywords as they relate to my site. Basically, I'd like to track which events have had the most impact on moving me through the rankings, but I wasn't using Moz at the time I had made some changes to my website... Is there any way to see how I ranked for a particular keyword at a given point in time? Thanks! Gene

Do I need to turn off custom results or empty my cache before using the SEOMOZ Pro Rank checker?
I'm getting unusual swings in SERPS ranks from one day to another (I had several keywords ranked in top ten go to the the third or fourth page in a week). I knwo that there's always variation because of localized and custom search, but this seems to be something more.
