How to make AJAX/javascript website more seo friendly?
-
I have a website that is heavy on AJAX. I need recommendations on how to add content as well as other on page ompitizations. The website is a luxury brand for 6 resorts, each with their own subfolder.
The website is http://me.graficode.com/preprod/.

If you must hide content with AJAX to meet the design requirements, use whats called graceful degradation. In your case it would mean placing all the content that appears on any given URL into the original resource that loads within
<noscript>tags.</p> <p>For example if you have a page for cancun and depending on what people click different parts of the cancun resort show up, put all that info into <noscript> tags on the cancun page.</p> <p>But I think John Barth is right. I didn't see any AJAX on the page, only php. If you're loading content using PHP you've got no worries, all the magic happens on the server and is served up to engine bots in full.</p></noscript>

Hey Antonio!
It looks like all the elements on each page are in the source when the page loads... so I'm not sure where AJAX is being used. There's a lot of JavaScript/CSS effects, but I don't see anything where JavaScript is loading something after the initial page load.

We redesigned our website, make it responsive and page views tanked. What happened?
Last year, we redesigned our site and made it responsive. Our page views only grew by only 3% (the previous year they grew by 40%). If we exclude homepage views from our calculations, we get a drastically different picture-- and see over 30% growth for both total and unique pageviews. Any thoughts?

Local Versus National SEO - Considerations
I have a customer who is currently a local business but with aspirations of franchising and becoming a national concern, historically I have had quite a lot of success in the Local space, but this will be the first national account so I am looking for any advice on SEO best practice for national businesses. Particularly I am looking at where the business will have a common set of products / services but will have multiple trading addresses / service areas. Any advice would be much appreciated. TIA

Moving servers which means moving ip address but using the same URL. Would it harm the website's SEO?
Hello everyone, The server (in-house) which we use to host our website is a bit old. We are using CDN77 for our static content. What if I move all our website to the CDN service? meaning I use their storage capability and just have our url point to the IP address they provide. Would that hurt our rankings?

Are Carousels Bad for SEO?
My real estate web site was migrated form Drupal to Wordpress last July. The ranking have dropped a lot since migration. One of the things we changed is that we have added two carousels to the home page. Most of the text is below the carousels. Is this bad for SEO? Thanks,

New website put up and ALL my keywords fell a LOT!???
I helped a client redesign their new website and we just went live a couple weeks ago. This morning I checked his campaign and 53 keywords fell DRAMATICALLY. Like 35-50 places down in Google for dozens of keywords!? I haven't ever seen a drop that's so dramatic when putting up a new site. Have you ever seen this? Will they bounce back? This site isn't significantly different than the last one. We did forward two other domains to this new site but that wouldn't make a difference, would it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Separate .mobi site or make .com site mobile friendly?
Our website now has enough mobile traffic to justify going mobile friendly, which it is not at this time. I am in favor of making a separate .mobi site designed specifically for mobile phones and smart phones for several reasons. It is cheaper, faster, and easier to accomplish. I think our mobile users will have a good experience though obviously not as much info as our full site. I would use ourdomain.mobi with link or a redirect for mobile users from from the main site. My top three choices for implementing that are http://allwebcodesign.com/setup/mobi-templates.htm#detailsarea
