Will the NoFollow link in this article help my rankings in Google?

You might not get a boost in rankings but if it is a popular article that leads to a steady stream of free referral traffic, that can be almost as sweet.
-
Yea pretty sure the nofollow won't give you any "juice," but being mentioned on that domain can't hurt.
I wonder why that was setup as nofollow?

Will the NoFollow link in this article help my rankings in Google?
A nofollow link will definitely not directly offer any ranking benefit in Google. If such a link offered even the slightest benefit, you would see spam on the internet increase 1000%.
The link could indirectly offer benefits which can translate into a ranking benefit. A few examples:
-
readers could follow the link to your site which generates traffic. The reader can use social sharing to talk about your site and the social sharing activity can improve your ranking.
-
readers could follow the link to your site and then bookmark, e-mail a site link, or create a link to your site and these activities can directly benefit your site's ranking.
-
a reader could visit your site by using the link and then later use a search to locate your site and visit your site via the search result. The metrics from that search result can benefit your site.
In these ways nofollow links help sites with great content where visitors desire to talk about your pages or visit them in the future.

This topic has been debated for a long time. In general NoFollows will not help you rank in the Search Engines. However, the second hand exposure for link opportunities is quite high, the page has had quite a lot of social shares and is on an authoritative site.

Linking Root Domains www and non-www
I just ran our site through Open Site Explorer. If I run the non-www version I get 30 root domains, if I run www I get 177. Is it wise to try and contact those sites using the non-www version and ask them to update the links to www version? Will that make much of a difference?

Missing Inbound Linking Domains
For some reason, our websites seem to be missing a number of authoritative inbound linking domains which seems to be a primary driver in lowering our domain authority as compared to our competition. Does anyone have any feedback as to why this might not be populating or is there something additional we need to do to have these show up? If it doesn't show up in MOZ is it likely that Google might also not be seeing these as inbound link domains? Thanks as always MOZ Community!

How can I find all the outbound links from a website domain?
I want to find all the outbound links (basically whatever comes in tag) from a domain (say www.abc.com) as well as all the subdomains under it (say abc.com/a etc). Open Site Explorer provides the inbound links from a website but does not provide any functionality to get all the outbound links from a website. Is it possible to do? Thanks in advance. Why do the results in SEOmoz and OSE for Linking Root Domains differ?
In SEOmoz, in a campaign we set up, it shows 600+ Linking Root Domains, but in OSE it shows 300+ Linking Root Domains- quite a difference. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Do sub-domains help overall domain ranking?
If I have a blog at (for example) blog.mywebsite.co.uk (hosted on Wordpress), does this confer rankings to the top level domain (e.g. www.mywebsite.co.uk which we host ourselves)? Contained within the blog are many links to the main website (which is an eCommerce website) for all our key phrases, but it seemed like a good idea to keep the blog and the store separate. Alternatively, would it be better to use something like www.mywebsite.co.uk/news? Thanks! Alex

Link Acquisition - PA vs PR
I am wondering if someone can please advise on link acquisition. I have the opportunity to acquire a few good backlinks that will bring both traffic and some potential link juice. All things aside, if we are strictly comparing Page Authority with Google PageRank which will provide the most benefit to my SERP ranking? 1. Google PageRank 4 and Page Authority of 25 or 2. Google PageRank 2 and Page Authority of 35 We are strictly talking about SERPs!
