Duplicate content how bad is it?

I have a magento webshop and some of products have more than one link.
E.g. wolverine apprentice it has these two links
http://www.urbanclothing.dk/maerker-1/wolverine/wolverine-apprentice-6-tan-mens.html
and
http://www.urbanclothing.dk/wolverine-apprentice-6-tan-mens.html
Is that going to ruin my chances on ranking high on Google? If yes what should I do about it ?
And was does Linking Root Domains and Page Authority mean?
I fount it under the keyword ranking section.

I think I will choose the canon method sense I have more than 1000 products
Thank your for suggestion it sounds like the best idea so far.

Good direction from IPIN and the rest of your question can be answered by http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/domain
Assuming you have 5 links from http://NewBoots.com, and they are all different (brown-boots.newboots.com, blue-boots.newboots.com, etc.) this would show up as 5 links from one linking root domain.
Page Rank is a measure to identify how strong a page is competitively based on links, etc. Here is the definition location http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/page-authority
Almost any definition question you have can be found using the moz search bar.
Best,

Duplicate content on site is not good - google basically sees the pages and thinks you are creating pages for the sake of it to occupy more of the results and gain more traffic.
What to do about it.
Although not ideal - you could just remove the pages and wait for the recovery - but this would likely mean a large loss of urls.
Best bet is to either sort your site structure out so you don't have the sub folder pages in the first place - and canonical tag the spare pages back to the originals so you are telling google which page is the one you want to rank for. On the pages that you add canon tag - add "follow noindex" to your meta tag so that google knows your intent.
Redo your xml sitemap and resubmit through GWT and you should see it sort itself out.
Another option would be to 301 the duplicate pages - but I would be inclined to go with the canon rather than build up a lot of 301's

Getting a sitewide links from one domain as oppsed to few links from certain pages, a good, bad or horrible idea?
Hello, I have a website that is performing really well in Google for country specific Real Estate Website. I have had this site for just about 2 years and I have 4600+ indexed pages, and about 50 of my main keywords appear in top 10 results on Google. I have now started a second site with a brand new domain, its only about 2 months old. This one is a Travel website and again its country specific (same country that real estate website is performing well in) and since its still building up the content and has barely a couple of backlinks, I am thinking of adding a linkback to it from my Real Estate Site. Is it a good idea to add a site wide link back from header section of the real estate website to my travel website? Both sites has same country and most of the keywords in both relate to this country. Or will I be better off adding a few text links from few pages with best Page Authority? Or - do you suggest that I do not link the two at all? Both sites are hosted on different servers, with different IP's and one is on windows server created in asp.net while another is a magento site. Any advidce / insight will be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Is it a good idea to create a blog that offers quality content but also passes PageRank to sponsors
I am a part of a business networking group that has lots of members who services home owners (a/c repair, plumber, home inspector, etc.). I am thinking of starting a blog to help home owners be better informed how to care for their homes. I would like to ask for sponsorship from the people in my group. I would also like to invite them to post on the blog as a way to improve their SEO. Would posting on this kind of blog hurt, help or not affect their SEO? Would this violate Google's policy of selling links that pass page rank as described here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en.

Do you guys have some bookmarked links that can help me follow a step by step process on how to develop a content calendar? I'm looking at something like what tools to use, how to figure out what's hot in a particular niche, social media topics, etc. Thanks in advance!

How Do You Monitor & Deal With Plagiarism Of Your Content?
Hi everyone - hope you can help. I have an e commerce store with lots of products. I write unique, original content for all of the products we sell. I must be doing a good job because I repeatedly find my content being used in blogs, word press sites, and pay per posts which then link back to competitors. I have the standard free copyscape logo pasted a the bottom of each page - hasn't deterred anyone. I'm now thinking about using some sort of a cookie based software and installing the code on each page so that when they lift my content and use it, it will send a link back to that page on my site. I have called numerous plagiarizers in the past and threatened to sue using the "Digital Millennium Copyright Act" phrase in the course of my conversation. It's tiresome. It's work. I am thinking after many years of frustration, that if I can't beat them I might as well try using this type of cookie based script/software approach to at least garner a link out it. And if the abuser catches it then maybe he'll stop mid stream and think twice about using...I mean copying my content. Is using this type of cookie/link back to us script a good or a bad idea? How do you all prevent your unique, original content from being used? And finally, if I'm looking at this from a positive link building standpoint (meaning, maybe I'm looking at it from the wrong angle), what is the best practice for garnering a link from this type of ongoing occurrence?
