Anyone know how/where to get keyword yield ratio?
-
I'm trying to incorporate keyword yield ratio (the ratio of keywords to pages yielding search traffic) in my seo report.
I want to be able to compare on a monthly basis the percentage ratio of keywords to a landing page yielding search traffic.
So for example, in July we might have 5 keywords that earned a click to landing page A.
But in September, the number of keywords grew to 8 keywords that earned a click to landing A.
I would like to be able to report monthly on the % ratio growth of number of keywords to landing pages that yield search traffic. Aim is to grow # of keywords per page...
Is there a way I can get this data through seomoz tools or google analytics?
Thanks,
Gemma

Yeah... I'm trying to find a way to do it without me having to dump into excel... but thanks!

I looked up "amalgamation" - I can't even pronounce it right. So... I am in over my head here. But I am still trying!
I think you can import the data into Excel. Then using some formulas get the numbers you are looking for. A field that counts the number of keywords. You could also use a conditional formula. This is hard to explain but I think you could do it.

Sorry but that's all I got... not even sure what "amalgamation" means. Sounds painful!

Hi Stephan,
Thanks. But that particular report doesn't give you amalgamation of the % ratio growth of all non-paid keywords per landing page though..
-
I think I got it. Do you have a Google Analytics account?
If so... if you click on the ecommerce section, you should find a section called "keywords" where you can select "non-paid keywords" to get a list of all the keywords that sent traffic to your site. You can also get this list by going through the "traffic sources" section.
Once you have your list of referring keywords, you should see a drop down that says "none" in the column next to the keyword column. If you activate the drop down you can add another parameter...select "landing page" which will bring up the landing page associated with each keyword.
So you'll have visits per keyword per landing page... I think this gives you enough info for your report! Let me know if you need more info or if I am off base.

Hi.
Can you be more specific? Maybe give an example.

Unsolved Is the Keyword Explorer tool down?
Hi, I was supposed to work with researching keywords today. After researching a few queries in the Keyword Explorer, it stopped retrieving keywords and shows the message, “Getting keyword suggestions failed. Please retry your search or refresh this page”. The issue has persisted for a few hours. Thanks in advance.

Spam score is 7/17
My site has a spam score of 7/17 and I'm not really sure how this happened - I think maybe when I changed my domain from Wordpress to Bluehost? It's very hard to get my site to rank in Google and I'm getting very few hits through search engines, wondering if the spam score is why? How do I fix this? The flags are: Low MozTrust or MozRank Score

Keyword rankings and main company tagline not matching
I have a question about keywords rankings and on page keywords. I don't rank very well for the keyword "Nutcracker". But, my tag line is "Your one stop Nutcracker and Ballet Gifts source". One of my most important keywords is "Nutcrackers" (see the s 😉 ) and I hot hit really hard in my rankings with the google algorithm update. Almost a 30 position difference from one day to the next. Am I shooting myself in the foot by having Nutcracker being in the forefront, even though my chances of ranking for that are very low as there is high competition with more actual "The Nutcracker" related content. I do have the word "nutcrackers" on my home page...but all of a sudden I feel like i'm wasting space, or I should have made the tagline "Your one stop Nutcrackers and Ballet Gifts source". It just doesn't sound as good. I just recently dove headfirst into SEO and moz, so I consider myself a noob, but I learn quite quickly. Thank you for your help! Keyword Rankings Compare to X not working
Anyone else having trouble with the compare your keyword positions with competitors section of the analytics? The rankings for my site(s) are fine but whichever competitor I click on to compare rankings to just returns 'Not in Top 50' the competitor is ranking. I have just manually checked and they are very much listed in the engine. Is this tool broken?

Historical Linkscape/OSE data available?
Hey Mozzerati, I'm curious if there's a way to expose and analyze historical data from each previous Linkscape/OpenSiteExplorer (OSE) update. Essentially, I'm looking for something similar to MajesticSEO's Backlink History tool that can show you both daily links over a short time as well as cumulative links over a long period. I think the utility of such a tool is to see which competitors have gained many links over a short period, signalling that they're engaging in some form of link-building/-buying/-baiting activity. Is there any way to yield this data (other than to record it manually after each Linkscape/OSE update) from SEOmoz PRO tools?
