Few things I can't figure out
My campaign shows I have 62 back links and 62 followed links. Majority of these links are from completelt different Websites (e.g. Blogger, Wordpress.com, etc.)
But my analysis shows I only have 7 linking root domains
Further, from one of your videos I learned that linking C-blocks are
important for rankings. Is there a way to tell if sites are on the same C-Block so I can get more C-Block links?*Thanks, Derek

You can visit the site and use the MOZbar Analyze Page > Page Attributes function to see the website's IP address.
Another method is to simply ping the web address using the command prompt.
IP addresses are provided in the following format: AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD.
The idea behind the C-block differentiation, is that is one of many methods Google uses to determine a relationship between websites. There are numerous other methods Google or Bing can use as well.

Morally Right vs Strategic 404 Question
Hey, I bought my domain name not even thinking of the backlink profile advantages. However, now I have about 140 links back to my site delivering 404 errors. Some with DA only in the teens, but some more. What would you consider the right way to go about this? Should I redirect them to my homepage? Should I try to disavow them? Any thoughts are welcome.

Sitewide link to a sister site question
I own two websites that are somewhat related. On Site A, in the nav bar below the header I had a link to Site B. The nav bar shows on all several hundred pages. A few weeks ago I got nervous about this as I was doing some reading about sitewide links. Not exactly sure if they were a bad thing or not in this specific case, I decided to change the nav bar so that the link to Site B only showed up on Site A's home page. Well, within a week or so my site started dropping from its long-held #1 position for its main, high-volume keyword, slipping a bit every few days. Today it is #4. My question is, would the removal of the sitewide links and replacement of them with just a link on the homepage cause something like this to happen? And, I'm thinking about putting the sidewide menu link back in -- is this a bad idea? Note: the ranking on Site B is very important, with double the RPM of Site A.

The No of Sites linking to www.apollopowersystems.com is 50 as per Alexa, but Moz shows that the no of sites linking is 23\. The no has increased in Alexa but in Moz the no is 23 since 3 months. Why is this Difference?
Hi There, As I am new to SEO, so the problem that I am listing below may seem very naive. Please help me out. Please explain me the difference between the no of backlinks of the website, www.apollopowersystems.com as per the websites below. The nos are completely different as per the websites below: As per www.moz.com the no is 23 As per www.ahrefs.com the no currently is 586 As per www.alexa.com the no is 50 Please tell me why these nos are different. Pagerank question
Hi, SEO friends I have a question and i'm very thankful if you could help me. My website was a pagerank 4 but recently I checked it, and my new pagerank is 0 or the result is: N/A, I don't understand what it's going on. Even this one has 4,627 external links. Could you help me, please?

Backlink question
Hi all. Here's the scenario. There is a company who provide financial services to their online clients. On ALL their clients sites they have a "payments-by-us" style logo with backlink to their homepage domain name. This means they have over 3,000 links from a multitude of non-related websites - with just 3 or 4 anchor text keywords in these backlinks. No surprise they have been hit by Penguin My questions What it the best practice for these type of linking LOGO's. Should they link to a dedicated page,and NOT the homepage? Should they have branded + anchor text, no text, or just branded? or a combination of each Should they even be a link at all as they are coming from such a diverse group of sites? I understand how Penguin penalises for overuse of money word keywords as anchor text. This is something that has definitely happened here (by the bucket load) ... Assume the anchor text is "Green Chips Finance" and that phrase is also overused and a bit "stuffy" in their homepage. Here's my question - could simply lowering the prominence / significance of "Green Chips Finance" on the actual home page, help in reducing the impact of the damage caused by the thousands of backlinks with "Green Chips Finance" as the anchor text? I say this as they have a similar number of back links saying "Red Chips Finance", but there is no mention of "Red Chips Finance" on their homepage other than in the keywords and a couple of standard text mentions (no H1, H2, alt text etc) ... interestingly, "Red Chips Finance" (not the real words) is Google No1 whereas "Green Chips Finance" has been demoted from longtime No1 to about 4. Diverse SEO On & Off page questions!
Hey everybody. I have been reading several resources on SEO, and wanted to know your opinion on these topics. I know they are diverse and should be on a different set of questions, but i wanted to give it a try. I run a Heavily Specialized Steel B2B eCommerce Site. So my question would be what is the importance of the following topics, taking into mind the nature of my site. The importance on how often the page is updated ? Recommendations on updating relatively static pages ? How important is to meet HTML and W3C Standards, also its validation. The NoFollow and Follow ratio of incoming links. Your opinion onthe inclusion of outbound links to other relevant pages. Is there a best practice? Any comment is welcome, and would be deeply appreciated. Regards,

Google Panda Update question
Since the Panda update from December 21st, 2012, some of the keywords I used to rank for are now gone beyond page 20. What I don't get is that the websites that are now ranking are definitely full of crap and they have tons of unnatural links pointing to them. I've analysed their backlink profiles and most of them have only exact keyword match anchors pointing to them. So what's going on? Is buying tons of crappy links still a valid tactic? I know it is not but how come thoses sites outrank me? I mean it happened to LOTS of my keywords. I don't get it...

Link building companies for a short term campaign?
Hi! I am not specially good at super fast link building campaign in the UK. My company has launched a website for a special event which is going to be held in a month and I have to boost it super fast. Luckily,the 2-3 keywords we are trying to rank for are not super competitive. Would you recommend any agency which would do this? Thanks!
