Does getting reblogged on Tumblr offer any positive/powerful backlinks?
-
This would be under the assumption that our company blog was hosted on tumblr.
-
I have not used it as a particular strategy; however, I believe it does because I have seen positive effects from competitors & others using it to good effect. That is how I made the inference above is from observation of others linking profile & rankings.
-
Right, I understand that part, but do those reblogs help for seo purposes?
-
The positive & powerful part of Tumblr is in the engagement & interaction with the Tumblr community. They are all about sharing and reblogging interesting stuff.
-
Reblogging with reference to the primary source is one way of getting good backlinks, but I would suggest writing a fresh piece on tumblr with excerpts and discussions on the company blog's post. That would add more value.

Guest Posting Offer
Our company gets pitched on linking to other websites nearly constantly. Recently, we received an offer to guest post on several sites managed by the same person. These sites aren't really relevant to our website, so my instinct is that we should ignore the offer. However, I would really like more backlinks and maybe I shouldn't turn away this offer.

Backlinks from missing sites
While combing though spammy backlinks, I'm finding a lot of supposedly "active" links that lead to 404 errors, pages that contain no html, domains for sale, and sites that all have a uniform design which I can't tell if they're web host default pages, or pages using a spammy third-party link aggregator (or both).

For example: http://easyreveal.us/ So, do I disavow missing sites? Lost sites? Is there a drawback to disavowing sites that have been removed? Any help would be appreciated.0 -
What is the best way to get links now ?
I have been working for a long time in the industry now and I was away for some time. It seems that now after the google updates..It is difficult to do link building. I used to do quality white hat link exchange to very related sites. For example, I own a travel site about Paris (www.simplyparis.org) and I would exchange links with other travel sites about France or/and Paris. It was good for the visitors and SEO.. Now what is the best link building technique ? What should I do to promote my site now?

Can bad backlinks harm your website?
Hi, This has been discussed to death over the web on many forums, some discussions are even very heated arguing both sides. So... from what I have read on seomoz the answer to this question is... YES. And if one was so inclined to build bad backlinks to a competitor it would have a negative effect. Agree?

Link Building Features/Tutorials
I am previewing this software and am getting a little lost in its features. I am really looking for something that will help me identify link prospects, filter out the low-authority domains, and organize this information into an actionable list. Can anyone point me to resources (tutorials, etc.) on how to do that with this software? Which tools should I be using and how can I use them to reach these goals?
