Using the Keyword difficulty tool, under local search volume column, all I get is unavailable for UK queries, is this temporary?
Cheers

Hi! this is a very old thread. If this isn't working for you, it's best to drop an email to our help team at help@seomoz.org and they'll get right back to you. Thanks!

Has anyone else experienced this for United States searches? Is this still broken?
-
Yes, the fix for now is to use the AdWords Keyword Tool for this information. The rest of the keyword difficulty tool (the stuff you can't get form other sources) works just fine.
-
Hi and thank you, I'm using the Adwords Keyword tool too at the moment, just wondered about the SeaMoz tool problem.
-
I actually tweeted about this problem a few weeks ago and got the following response from the SEOMoz team:
"It's a known issue with the AdWords API and we're working on it as fast as we can."
I've been using the search volume within Google Keyword Tools in the meantime.

Search traffic steady, Landing pages receiving traffic had massive drop
Following the week of Google's major algorithm update in January, we saw this graph in our Moz dashboard. (green bars are # of landing pages receiving traffic from search, blue line is traffic from search) Traffic from SEO grew slightly, but number of landing pages receiving traffic fell by more than 50%. We didn't make any changes to sitemap, rel=canonical, number of pages being published, etc. Traffic from top keywords held consistent. Number of pages/images google crawled and indexed grew per webmaster tools. Big spike in Nov/Dec is because we are in retail, seasonal not technical issues. Is anyone else experience the same thing? An algo change? Or something more specific to our site? Quality traffic is what we care about, so number of pages traffic is going to could be a positive thing (easier to optimize). But jury is out. Estimating Search Volume An Impossibility?
I use Moz's handy Keyword Difficulty Tool to get a relative feel for difficulty and traffic and specif competition. At the same time, my experience is that a term may show a local (U.S.) search volume of, for instance, 30 visits and in the end produce hundreds of visits for position #3. This is of course accomplished through the miracle of all the other searches the page may be judged by Google to be relevant for. Hundreds at times and some times few if any. Here is my two part question: What tools or steps do you use to get a better handle on this on the front side of going for a term? What tools or steps do you use to broaden the meaning to related terms/searches over time? Thanks... Darcy

Looking to pull a report from MOZ with global search volume
I'm in need of a monthly report on campaign keywords with rank AND global search volume (not "just" traffic.) Is this doable from MOZ? More generally, what does monthly SEO reporting to the C-Suite look like for most SEO's? Would be a good "#WhiteboardFriday" topic. We are a mid sized ecommerce retailer.

Why does SEO Moz say we are ranked lower than appears on Google Searches?
We are currently ranked 18th for the Sydney Vet keyword in SEO Moz ranking tools, however in organic Google search we are ranked third. This search was conducted without Googles personalised results feature. Is this just an error? Or does it have something to do with Google Places not being counted in SEO Moz ranking tools? Any help would be much appreciated.

Need advice interpreting these changes in my search traffic
I've recently made a few changes to my site based on some advice from the seomoz tool. I've noticed some changes in the traffic data (see attached image) which I can't completely explain. First, the good news is that total organic search visits is up 2%. I assume this is the most important metric and I'm obviously happy with total increase in organic search. At the same time the number of number of URL's entered on search is down 1%. I think this can be explained by the fact that I removed some duplicate pages (like archives that had the same content as the blog post pages, etc.) The part that I don't quite understand is that total number of non paid keywords sending search is down 3%. That seems like an unexplained decrease that I can't really account for. Any ideas on how to interpret this? Is it also possible that a single week's results can be misleading about how well your SEO efforts are paying off? 20120711-j4ti8ynwi1hn4rbrsppe167m6.jpg

How do we use SEOmoz to track Local Searches? Is there a way to set the location from which the campaign tracker is "searching"?
It seems that there is no way to set a parameter for location. In Places, I'm able to define my targeted region. How does SEOmoz mimic that localization? Thank for any help! -- Chris
