What impact will Google's 10/18/2011 announcement of 'Making Search More Secure' have on the ability to track specific keyword queries via Analytics?

My concern is that the ability for Google Analytics to parse information on specific keyword queries will be diminished. The article hints that Google Webmaster Tools will be exempt from the problem, and I've never relied on Webmaster tools as a go-to for tying specific keyword queries to Goal Tracking (form submissions and sales).
The community's thoughts on this one are appreciated.

I hypothesize that you will still be able to see keywords in your Google Analytics reports. Google's Analytics javascript call is already https compatible, so it will work on an e-commerce site running https. Why would Google block their own products from seeing keywords coming from their own engine?
When Google says the website you go to won't be able to see your search keywords or what not...I think that has to do with 3rd party analytics softwares and engines. So the big question is how will this affect seomoz. Since seomoz is pulling data from Google Analytics, if you link it up, I doubt it'll have much of an impact, but then again I don't work for seomoz.
I'm glad that they're introducing https connections as defaults on all their products for the better security, but you know there are other motivations that have to do with control.

It will have a HUGE impact. You won't be able to see keywords in Google Analytics. And Webmaster Tools is limited to 1000 queries /day if I remember correctly. This announcement left quite a few SEOs scratching their heads, and this is on top of the "forcing" of G+ accounts, Panda updates, changes to AdWords ad displays all in favor of some Google product They're relying more and more on their monopoly situation to maximize profits and this won't go unpunished. (Either by law or by competition.) This is my opinion only, of course.

Google Analytics Campaign Tracking overriding each other
Howdy, fellow mozzers. So, here is the situation: Let's say someone comes to the website through Organic Google Search, and first thing they see is the banner on the website, on a click of which it takes you to a promotional landing page. I have this banner being tracked with GA campaigns. Now, here are my questions: If that user makes a purchase, which source / medium it will be assigned to? Organic/google or website/banner? (as far as i understand it assigns it to website/banner) If that's the case, is there way to find out afterwords where the website/banner sessions came initially from? If there is no such way, how shall i setup the tracking to be able to see wherre the initial visit to the website came from, yet also track how many people clicked on the banner and made a purchase? unique events -4 MY query - when I added session in customized report then it is different from Event session why (7 and 30) ? same way Ecommerce conversion rate in customized report showing 0% why ( 0% and 3.33% ) ? same way unique events 4 and 30 ? do you suggest what is the best way to analysis such page or what will be best customize report for such analysis? Google Analytics Goal Tracking Head Match w/ Query Strings
Hello, I have what should be a simple question here but there is a small nuisance I am trying to make sure I have configured correctly. We have a product based website w/ no e-commerce because they sell through a dealer network. All these product pages have "Where to Buy" links and the URL after you click where to buy always uses the query string ?r=XXX. Example: www.mysite.com/product/category/subcategory/product-name?r=12345 I want to setup a goal in GA with a URL and configure head match on the "?r" but which of the following is exactly how it should be configured with the "Goal URL" ?r= ?r r= Does it matter, because I had it setup as "?r" and it was never registering any goals. Do I need to leave off the "?" and just have it be r= Thanks in advance for the respones.
