Link Building - Nofollow
-
Hello It's worth getting links nofollow? It will count for google? For example links from Yahoo! Answers.
-
Nofollow links usually don't contribute to your ranking, although getting a few links from wikipedia certainly helps.
The thing about nofollow links is that they belong to a "natural" linkprofile. If all your links are followed and from very good sources, google might consider these links unatural (aka. bought). if all your links are nofollowed this might be considered spammy (not for new websites, though).
So get a natural mix of followed and nofollowed links. Also get some pages with you websites URL but not as link, just as text. Best thing would be to analyze the linkprofile of the sites in your industrie, erspectively your keywords. You will probably find a low percentage (5-25%) nofollowed. This would be a good target ratio to begin with. A new website usually starts very slow in link growth and usually starts with a higher percentage of nofollowed ones.
EDIT: Best source for natural nofollowed links are blogs / comments in your industriy

I'm not sure about Yahoo Answers specifically but building no-follow links makes your site look more natural. So it is definitely worth it.

I think they do personally, some disagree though. Only google knows for sure.

Link building - where to start?
Okay - we have around 200 natural links pointing to our domain, some good, some not so good; today I've spent some time removing any bad, spammy links pointing to our business domain and we're just about there. Now I'd like to start a link building strategy. To be fair, I've assumed for the past year or so that link building is dead, unless you can get natural, really good links - which in the mobility and elderly products industry can be quite difficult. I have recently created a blog on our website - could RSS feeds be a benefit too?

Nofollow links exchange
Hi guys, I'm studying Seo for the first time and I'm really passionate about it. Only one simply question. Assume that I'm cited in a blog with the same PR of mine and I want to say thanks by recite the blogger in my blog. I know that If two blog backlink each other the pr juice is equal to zero. But If the other blogger link me with dofollow and I link him back with nofollow, does my blog take benefit from the link exchange? Thank u very much and sorry for my medium level english 😉

Google still allows massive link building in my country.
This is really messed up! I've been investigating this issue for almost a year now. I had discussion about this in SEOMoz before and people told me that my site was not optimized for SEO. However, I've finally come to conclusion that massive back link building is still the best way to rank in Google Turkey. Many high PR content websites do not seem to get their unique content ranked here because some shitty website can be ranked on the top by using back links with targeted anchors for the keyword they want. I've spent a lot of money for content but no it does not get listed unless I provide back links for each article. This does not happen in the US anymore. Google catches you for massive back link building and penalize you. SEOMoz authors suggest using social media more but it seems to have no effect whatsoever in Google Turkey. I really want to open a ticket for this in Google but don't know how to do it. Think about searching "urology" keyword in the US, would you see an informative website about urology or a site that contains a small article and wants to sell a bullshit product to you? If anyone knows how I can contact Google regarding to this, please let me know. Thanks.

Hello everyone, My website is on Pharmacy schools. I just sell leads to universities. Well, I am unable to find sites which are related to my niche. Can i get links from Unrelated sites like Health? and other educational sites (other than pharmacy)? I can see all .edu and gov sites when i type in Google. Ofcourse, they wont sell any links to my low quality sites. Help me out in finding those sites which sells advertising spots and 100% related to my niche 🙂 thanks.

Outsource Link Building?
Currently we are in the process of creating a new ecommerce website. The site is not live yet, but we have done all of the planning and brainstorming and now are just doing all of the dirty work to get things ready to go live. We are devoting a lot of time on merchandising and developing the site, but currently do not have the resources to put together a good link building campaign in house. Does anyone have any recommendations for outsourcing the link building? The last thing we want is to hire someone that submits to bad neighborhoods and only directories. Is there a good, better, best scenario we should be looking at for pricing, ect? Obviously, like most who are starting a new site, cost is an issue at least until the site gives some sort of sign of life. Also, we are in the Pittsburgh area. We don't need to go local with this, but if there is someone particularly good in the area it would be nice. Thanks in advance.

NoFollow links to increase TLD?
If you have a good amount of links, but your TLD is low, and you got say 100 more links from 100 seperate domains, but most were NoFollow, would that still help alot since you are increasing your overall TLD? I guess what I am asking is, should we not ignore nofollow links because they still can increase TLD? Thus, making our good dofollow links worth even more?

Link Building
I've been hearing about going after niche directories, and my question is most of them have a ton of links on any given page. Is it even worth taking the time to approach these sites knowing they won't pass a lot of link juice?
