Competitive Domain Analysis Question

When looking at the Competitive Domain Analysis I noticed that I am the only one amongst my competitors that does not have a link from DMOZ. The problem is, I do have a link from them. When you search for my site on dmoz.org you can find my site and it has been that way for quite a while. Anyone know any possible reasons it may be doing this?

DMOZ doesn't have any value nowadays. I would prefer to concentrate on other areas to improve.

In my experience, OSE sometimes takes a (long) while to 'notice' links. Perhaps that's it?

H1 tag question

I am currently going through the process of optimizing my pages for my given keywords. Most of my pages are receiving an A grading from the Moz page checker, with keywords being found in all elements expect for the H1 tag. For certain pages I have not used a H1 tag, the pages title has been incorporated into the image on the top of the page. This is difficult to explain without showing you so i will use one of my pages to explain, the page is http://www.ecobode.co.uk/garden-uses-3/garden-gym/. The keyword for this page is garden gym, it is found multiple times in the content, URL and other on page elements expect for the H1 tag as I don't have one. The title resides in the image, I know how important H1 tags are but I don't know how I can incorporate into this page. Does anyone have any ideas how I can incorporate the H1 tag into this page? Accurate Google Keyword Ranking for a domain

Hi Folks, SEO N00b here, in a new job so please go easy on me if i ask stupid questions. I'm looking for some clarification on Google Keyword rankings. I am looking for accurate Google Keywords rankings as when I log into Google Webmaster Tools I am given values like (6-10) for a ranking? When I used SEOMoz (Research Tools -> Keyword & Ranking -> Rank Tracker) it gives me an even less accurate range by simply saying >#50?Why is SEOMoz giving a completely useless metric? Why is its actual rank not shown? I know rankings are becoming less useful as a metric with Google moving toward personalized search but I still have reports to deliver to clients so the conversation of what metrics are going in the report is to be had another day. Right now I just want to get accurate rankings, from what I've found online Google Webmaster tools is recommended as the de-facto ranking tool but it doesn't provide accurate results so how can that be (yes I know it averages out the ranking but 6-10 is a range of values not a single value that represents an average) Dave

On page analysis showing old results

Hi, My on page crawl analysis is showing that I have 38 duplicate content issues. These issues are because we had used tags in our blog. We remove all the tags 10+ day ago but the crawl that was done 5 days ago is still showing the tags as causing a duplicate content issue. Why would this be? We cannot correct is as it is already corrected. How do we get moz to crawl the correctly? Thanks Andrew

On Link Analysis tab I my best pages are 301 and 404 pages.

I looked on my redirrect file and found that /* redirects to /v/404.asp.
However if you look below at the link analysis the 404 page is getting a 404 error.
The homepage ecowindchimes.com/ is getting a 301 (but I don't know where it is going to).
The third one is also redirected. 1. [No Data] ecowindchimes.com/ ||| 301 ||| 2 ||| 36 2. 2. [No Data] ecowindchimes.com/v/404.asp ||| 404 ||| 2 ||| 34 3. [No Data] 3. ecowindchimes.com/index.html?lang=en-us&target=d2.html ||| 301 ||| 1 ||| 33 So I have 2 questions: 1) should this be fixed? and 2) how? This is a volusion site and I believe the "catchall" redirect was done by them

What web page and domain analysis / error checking / testing tools do you use for competitor analysis? sites like webpagetest

Just wondering what everyone is using, I am looking to get as much insight and detail as I can on websites that are not currently being monitored by me... i.e. potential clients. I use tools like pagespeed, webpagetest, loadimpact and open site explorer, google adwords, ispionage, alexa, semrush and well, looking for more. I really just want to rip a website to the tiniest pieces possible in an organized and coherent manner... is there anything out there? I have tried several other's which i no longer use (compete, 4q, woopra, nuestar, to name a few), I am not sure if I know exactly what i want, i just want more.... damn the human condition. lol

Domains and sub domains - newbie

Hi Recently set up my SEOM MOZ account so any help would be great! On the competitive domain analysis page the sub domain metrics appear as good (if not better) then the domain.The Moz rank and trust are better on the sub domain. I know the website copy is appearing on both non-www and also www (which I assume is being referred to as the subdomain) on the competitor domain analysis page). Should I now 301 the WWW site to the non-www.... which will then concentrate the SEO and SEOMoz then will only have the root domain metrics appearing? Many thanks for your help in advance!
