So in theory, an article is like an acedemic document and a blog post is like an informal document, in the real world there's no big difference at least from seo perspective of blog running of wordpress.

Scheme are a great way to help Google to understand your content, there is no limit of how many information you provide to Google.

The snippets will help you not only with crawler but also with your CTR a good example for that are rating snippet, so when a user see your article the plugin allows to the users to rate your post, and the rating will be visible for users and crawlers

Example. you have a tutorial in your post about SEO, when someone have been looking for a tutorial like your post, before to enter your website google will show to that user the rating of other users for that post. This will impact your CTR and if there are to many people clicking for the specific query probably Google will rank your post in better position even when other post has a better Pagerank or Authority.

Basically for Google your post meet the needs of the users so it deserve a better place

Yes is simple, the traffic is not generated in normal way, have you ever see those annoying Chrome plugins, that insert ads in your browser? ok but that is just an example. I work with an ads network "exoclick" who use this url http://exosrv.com/ to send me traffic most of that traffic is generated by normal ads but in my analytics accounts shows me that url as the source of traffic

I guest they use that url to track the real source of that traffic and then send it as one main traffic source and of course charge me

Is there any negative SEO consequences from having too many pages private or not published?

As long as you setup the hidden content as a "no index"
you will not have any problem.

If your are using worpress and Yoast SEO plugin,
you should set up all the articles and post
that you want to hide properly. What that means?
Means that if you did no set the content as "No Index" and "No Follow"
Im pretty sure Google is indexing dummy content
of your website

Go to your articles a set this parameters

• Meta robots index - No index
• Meta robots follow - No follow

So you need to make sure the Search Engine
is not indexing irrelevant content.

How can you do that?
it is very simple you just use a basic search operaror (write on your browser)

This will show you how many pages you have indexed on Google
Example if you have 10 useful pages and 20 dummy content pages of course it will hurt your SEO.

So to make sure, go to your Search Console > Google Index > Remove URL and remove those pages that you want to hide or delele.

Talking about the second question (speed)
Nowaday the speed has become in a relevant factor on SEO,
that is the main reason for the existence of Google AMP, the next year Google will replace
the destop search results by mobile search results (mobile first)
and on mobiles speed it really matters.

To submit Sitemaps for multiple hosts from a single host, you need to “prove” ownership of the host(s) for which URLs are being submitted in a Sitemap.

www.host3.com with Sitemap file sitemap-host3.xml

Above configuration is okay? Yes It will work, just remember to set it up properly in Search Console

I believe that Google will only follow that below to the TLD domain so subdomains such as cdn.yourdomain.com will work but a completely different domain will not. Most if not all CDN networks you can setup your domain to work in harmony with one another and should be no reason to use another domain.

As I see you have question about duplicated links and the answer depends on your needs let me explain my point.

Depends on how did you set it up your UTM links

Note that UTM parameters are case sensitive, which means if you use abc for your utm_campaign tags on some links and ABC for your utm_campaign tags on other links, they will show up as separate campaigns in your Google Analytics.
