In my experience, sub-domains are viewed as a "new" website in Google's eyes (to a point). You still inherit domain authority but not as much as a new page would (www.bharatdesi.com/hyderabad).

RE: Long URL Warning
Not the Titles but the URL needs to describe the page in as few words as possible.
instead of /5414668-women-s-invicta-swiss-16-diamonds-two-tone-mother-of-pearl-dial.html aim for something like** **/invicta-mother-of-pearl-dial.html
It also depends on what keywords you are aiming for this page. If it's "Woman's Invicta Swiss Watch" then you need to use that.

RE: Tactics to Influence Keywords in Google's "Search Suggest" / Autocomplete in Instant?
There was a very clever Adwords campaign by Converse. Used Adwords very intelligently.

RE: Homepage not showing for searches
If you haven't done so already, you need to create a 301 redirect from the old domain to the new one.
Google wants to find the most relevant pages to show it's users so those "inner" pages you are seeing are probably the most relevant for the keyword/phrase. It's not a bad thing at all, so don't stress over it.

RE: I have a general site for my insurance agency. Should I create niche sites too?
I would have to agree. If you keep to a single domain, you don't have to spread your budget and effort out between other domains. Any piece of content you create can then, possibly, influence your entire domain.

RE: Does creating a Facebook App help your social SEO factors?
Social Signals are a factor in SEO but I believe it would be more beneficial for you to focus on creating the best possible usability for your app which in turn will get you the natural likes and shares you need.
Social Signals are very helpful for trending topics. We did an experiment with Social Signals and found that they do push up your rankings but only for a short period of time.

RE: Installing WordPress on a site OR just adding a blog page on the site - Which one is better and why ?
Hi Vikas_Rana
This will depend on who is going to be managing the site. Installing Wordpress throughout your domain is ideal because everything is there already. All the tools and plugins are available in a heart beat.
Some admins prefer to use pure HTML websites because they can customize it according to how they want it, but it does require a little more effort and development ability.
