Yeah i agree with Hutch, Google does not appear to have a minimum/maximum word count for indexing content. So just write as much as is required

15000 words seems like quite a lot for a single web page. Trying to keep a users attention for that long could prove troublesome and you would need to make sure the content was formatted correctly.
As a rule of thumb though the post should be as long as it needs to be whether thats a 100 words or 100000 words

Don't know how feasible it is but could you include some sort of content within the page? Perhaps an introduction to what the images are?
As im not sure what the website is im not sure if this would work.
