  • I am part of an agency managing multiple clients through a Moz Pro Medium subscription. I am interested in using Moz Local for some of my clients, and I was under the understanding that with a subscription Moz Local could be used for free. Can someone please let me know if this is correct and if so how to take advantage of it?

  • Hi, Ive been trying to add new listings for two clients to Moz Local for four days now. They each have their own login, so I don't believe it is an account issue. I have rebooted, tried different browsers, cleared cache, and even tried a different computer, all to no avail. Here's what happens... I login and click on Add Listing. I search for the business, select the best result and then I just get a bouncing map pin. It never goes any further.

  • I want to submit a listing, but the validation screen indicated Google has an incorrect phone number (which was only listed as an alternate contact number).    I've removed the number from the Google My Business page, but the correction is not listed in the Moz Local Validation page. What should I do to get the updated Google listing to be recognized by the Moz validation process? Thanks!

  • I've been using Moz Local for a couple of months now and I must say it taught me a thing or two about complexity management! We recently acquired a new phone number for my business and I would like Moz Local assistance to make sure the new number gets populated out there in the wild. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • I manage multiple health care practices and have them submitted to MOZ Local. The main reason for this is to clean up and remove listings with inconsistent business names, addresses and phone numbers on aggregators such as InfoUSA and Localeze. I felt MOZ Local would be something that could save time and money for myself and clients so I wouldn't have to do the phone verification game for sites such as InfoUSA and localeze. In some cases I submitted for removal aggregator listings 7-8 months ago but they are still showing the same 'Request Submitted'. What is the standard time I can expect these requests to go through. I sort of feel duped believing that MOZ would remove duplicate/incorrect listings somewhat quickly. If anyone else has a similar experience or a timeframe of removal for sites MOZ works with that would be great.

  • I have about 7 of my clients listings currently in Moz Local. It's showing that we don't have a Google+ listing when we actually do. Everything I have in Google My Business (NAP) matches what I have in Moz Local. It's a service based business and Google has recommended that we hide the address since consumers don't actually visit my clients location. Could that be the issue? If so, how do we take care of this?

  • I know this is pretty basic, but I've had trouble finding a way to report old, incorrect addresses. It almost seems like they want you to purchase a second listing to claim that one. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Tom

  • Moz local is telling me that i am missing a listing from HotFrog yet i have a listing there. How do i get moz to see it or add it manually?

  • Hi there, I purchased MozLocal for my firm on February 27th, about 7 and a half weeks ago to the day. While I've been waiting for the results to populate and the program to do it's work, I've been manually updating all the other listings with photos and categories based off the "missing info" Moz Local provides. Throughout the last almost 8 weeks, my listing score has increased a total of 1%. At this point, should I expect to see any further results from this tool? I'm still seeing "Update in progress", yet it seems enough time has passed for at least something to happen. After two months of waiting, I'm wondering if I would have been better off updating these listings myself. Does anyone have any idea when/if I should be seeing any results?

  • They successfully changed their Google+ local address. I have their listing in the Moz Local product.  How should I handle the address change?  Will it find it on its own? I noticed with another client it noticed a name change that occurred and automatically updated the listing. Does it do this with address change?  Thanks!

  • Adding Moz local listing for a small credit union with only three branches. I am doing this to update their information across the web, but do not want to have to create three separate spread sheets and / or pay for three separate listings. Is there a way to add all three branches to one listing? If not, is it worth the expense and does it help or hurt if you add three separate listings with the same name and phone number but three different addresses. We also do not want to set up more than one Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, accounts.

  • I'm working on the the CSV for Moz Local and I'm wondering about Image and Logo specs. For the five images that are allowed to be uploaded, are there any size specs (width, height and file size) that assures that my images will be likely to be accepted throughout the various Moz Local partners? Same goes for logo specs. Thanks,
    Erik

  • I'm working on updating an existing Moz Local account, and one of the listings says that there is "No listing found on Google."  However, there is a Google Business page for this listing, it just isn't linked to my account. And the only option Moz gives me is to "create listing" on Google, which takes me to the page to create a Google business listing. So my question is this: how do I link an existing Google Business page to a Moz local listing that is already mostly set up?

  • Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business, for that matter neither does Google Business: Using the Moz category tool- and Superpages, where we have been listed for a long time, the following categories have no MOZ local or Google Equivalent. Millwright CRATES & CRATING INDUSTRIAL PACKING & CRATING CRANES, HOISTING, & RIGGING SERVICES MACHINERY MOVERS & ERECTORS EXPORT CONSULTANTS RIGGERS EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES this makes fitting into Local search very difficult at best.  Since the Moving category is so crowded, and brings in 99 household moves to one legitimate industrial move or rigging jobs. So is it best just not to pay for Moz local?  How do we get Moz Local and google to add these important industrial local categories?

  • My competitors and I are advertising in the same way and have good quality external links. Open Site Explorer shows an appropriate PA and DA for my competitors and shows their external links. Waited for what seemed like forever and after all that time, nothing. Not one external link was found. And yet http://openlinkprofiler.org/ shows everything just as I would expect. Probably gonna bail with moz.pro. I'm very disapointed. Probably gonna bail on moz.local as well because it's been over two weeks and my phone number still hasn't changed. Not to mention, all it really did was tell me what was wrong. Hardly updated anything out there in the wild. Told me it was updating all the time but the same ol things are tagged day after day week after week. Changed the darn directories myself because moz.local can't do it and then moz.local won't update when I update director listings myself. Give me some reasons to stay. The lack of timely anything makes me feel like I'm wasting my money.

  • I'm setting up login portion of our new site that will show reporting sections for each marketing piece the client has chosen to use. (i.e. Google Analytics will be one section, email marketing results and analytics, inbound marketing results from CTAs and landing pages, and local search ranking for key search phrases including location) I'm in trial mode right now with Moz. I was wondering if the reporting tools could be used unlabeled on a backend client dashboard. Thank you for your response in advance.

  • I ran a new client through the Moz Local Check My Listing and got this: It looks like your business wasn't found on any major search engines. My client's website and Google Plus page have been live for over a month and he is listed in almost 90 business directories; all verified, live listings. Both his Yelp and Home Advisor profiles show well in search as does his website in organic so I know Google is picking up on the business. Checked all the simple stuff like correct spelling, url, etc. Any thoughts? Is this just a matter of time? If so, how long will it take MOZ to find a new listing usually? I see there is a MOZ index update scheduled for the 28th. Should I run it again after that? Regards, Dino

  • I've been using Moz Local on all my clients. One client in particular, I've been using Moz Local on for 6 months.  Their Moz Local stats all look good inside the dash board. While killing some time the weekend, I ran a few reports on them in Bright Local.  None of the sites Moz Local is supposed to be pushing too has the correct listings. They are all different just like before I started. Why is this?

  • Hi Team, I have recently updated my location listings in Moz Local and I could not able to validate those listings & move it to "ready to publish" section. Also, I have all the listings that are perfect & verified in Google business but Moz Local could not retrieve my listings from Google and not allowing me to validate it. I have provided below the screenshot of the not validated listings from Moz Local dashboard. Please look in to it and provide me the solution as soon as possible. Thank you, WjWEcOh.png

  • How would you properly enter hours into the Moz Local spreadsheet for a business that sometimes is closed for lunch, therefore they're open for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon. I've attempted below at what I thought it could be: 2:9:00:AM:12:00:PM:3:00PM:6:00PM,3:7:30:AM:10:30:AM:3:00PM:6:00PM,4:9:00:AM:12:00:PM:3:00PM:6:00PM,5:7:30:AM:10:30:AM:3:00PM:6:00PM,6:3:00PM:6:00PM

  • If you already have accounts with some of the local directories can you still use Moz local or is it just for business who have never claimed their business? I'd like to offer this as a service to clients but they will see it's Moz local and just do it themselves. Anyone know if there is a branded version coming soon?

  • Hello there, Moz Local shows that I am not listed with Acxiom, so I went directly to the Acxiom website to add my business listing. During that process, Acxiom asks for business documentation to be uploaded (DBA, license, Federal ID, etc.). If I were using Local Moz to send the data out to the data aggregators, how does it handle this portion (uploading business license, etc. as required)? I'm hoping to use Moz Local for my website clients but need to understand this bit first. Thanks for your help!

  • I'm importing sets of keywords that I've added locations to.  Then I'm setting tags based on the city so I can pull a set of 15 keywords for each local market.  I've noticed a couple typos that are now coming back to haunt me because I can't find a way to edit the typo without deleting the keyword & starting from scratch.  When that happens I need to individually tag the keyword to 60 different locations.  (I've spotted 3 typos (ugh - I wish I'd checked those more carefully before). I'm looking for a way to edit the keyword phrases but see how I can do that.

  • Hey Mozzers, For my Moz local listings, there is a yellow exclamation mark on localeze and it says "this listing is already managed by someone else". My company previously had a listing with localeze, but we closed it early this year. How can I remove localeze's control of our account? How can I make sure Localeze is feeding all the appropriate sites with the correct information? thanks, Evan Jerkunica

  • I've done Moz local before, and it worked without a hitch.  However, this time I'm doing it for a service area business that does not show an address on Google. It's been well over a week and none of the local listings have been updated.  Could this be because they require a physical address?  Or, do I just need to be patient?

  • I am straightening out a clients listing. He has Yellow Pages submitting to a few places like City Search and wherever else they do and they are using a tracking number. It's showing in Moz Local as inconsistent because of this but they claim that they have implemented something in the back end where the search engines read the real number for consistency and know that its a tracking number but the public sees the tracking number. Anyone heard of this and is it still hurting the listing? They called me from the clients office and had a conferance call in front of him assuring him that the listing were fine and that the search engines still read his real number. If this is the case would Moz ever be able to do this so it doesn't show as inconsistant? Thanks Scott Ps.. he sent me a PDF that they use to search that shows the number they use as ok with some icon but did flag other tracking numbers out there that were not theirs.

  • What is the best way to create listings for Doctors/Dentist and keep them from showing as duplicates. Should they just have there name without the company name in the title but yet the address and same phone or no separate listing at all. I have noticed in Moz Local that these show as duplicates when listed in this format. Thanks Scott

  • From what I can tell, Yext overrides Moz Local.  So if you're paying Moz Local for listing service & someone else comes along and purchase Yext for that same business's listing, the directories incorporated with Yext WILL NOT listen to Moz Local.  They show the Yext listing information. Can I get this confirmed by someone at Moz?  Point being... if in Moz Local vs Yext, Moz Local always loses to Yext, there's not a lot of point in having Moz Local -- Especially since Yahoo now requires Yext to update Yahoo Local Map listings.
