  • Trying to discover which keywords from a larger list trigger the new 3 pack of local results. Would like to avoid checking this one keyword at a time.

  • For some reason when you search our business name in a specific English county (or town within that country) one of the results in the local pack is the home address and phone number for a private individual who is nothing to do with us. He is now being bombarded with calls from people who need our services, which is less than ideal for both parties. I have no idea how this happened, but by using the person's postcode and Moz Local I was able to find a list of citations which have his address and phone number listed with our business name, which I assume is causing Google to rank his house for our business in local search . I was wondering how can I use Moz Local to delete these citations so that Google stops providing this person's address when you search for our business. Thanks for your help

  • Hi, Whenever I done a lookup for a client we were hoping to get on Moz Local, the listing that appeared has a repeating street address. For Example: 123 Some Street, 123 Some Street, Some City, Some ZIP Code I have checked Google Plus / Google My Business and no such repetition is there, however, under the Incomplete section it's showing Google as the one that's incorrect, but when I click through to Google the address is correct - see attached images... I have gone through all the other listings and they are correct from what I can see through the Moz Report. Also, this is happening with more than one address that I have checked - see attached images. If anyone has any input on the matter it would be greatly appreciated. I have posted this before and got no definitive answer, it then hit page two and we all know what happens when it does that. 4FwVXZi.png OEF0JzZ.png CoiU0tt.png jrKdHYU.png 3Rnm6Jz.png mVtALyn.png

  • Hello, I was looking at Moz Local and saw that you are supposed to enter a business "description". However, I'm pretty sure local directories will not want duplicate descriptions - can I leave the description blank and then add varied descriptions directly? Is that a way around this issue? Your thoughts would be welcome.

  • Hello, I have a campaign for "Teasdale Fenton" that we started back in May, 2015 (5 months ago) and Insider Pages, Citysearch, and Bing have been sitting as "Pending" with no estimated update date I believe since we launched the campaign.  Can you guys look into it and let me know if I did anything wrong or if there is something holding it back from updating? Thanks, Chris

  • Hello, I updated our company phone number about 2 months ago and every aggregator updated except Insider Pages and City Search.  They both have empty circles and are showing as Inconsistent when opening up the campaign because they have the old phone number.  I thought for awhile it would just take some time, but it doesn't seem to be updating at all.  Is it possible that it's stuck? A lot of the others changed to half circles, then full.  But this one is just sitting as an empty circle. Thanks, Chris

  • I have a client that I am pushing citations through Moz Local for. The business zip code in Moz is listed as 80111 and should be 80110. I have verified that the zip is correct on both Google My Business and Facebook. I'm not finding any duplicate Google pages either. Any Idea why this wouldn't push back to Moz Local?

  • We just signed up for Moz Local. After things were setup I get the message "This Listing is already managed by someone else?" on the localeze bullet. We have claimed the free listing on localeze previously. How can I let Moz Local take this over to push all the data changes to localeze since localeze is also a pay to make additional changes.

  • We use Moz Local to track citations for our clients and while I understand that it is not necessary for every citation to be 100% complete to get decent visibility in Google,  I was wondering if there is any list of what is required for each citation source to show as complete in Moz Local? For example, how many categories, photos etc. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated 🙂

  • Hi, My address is xxx Oxford Road. This is what it says on Google Plus/Google Business. However when Moz Local looks it up it shows as xxx Oxford Road, xxx Oxford Rd. Because of this Moz Local thinks all other local results are inaccurate. Please help! Thanks

  • Hi, So we've just purchased the Agency version of Moz Local and decided to submit our agency first. Moz pulls addresses from Google and Facebook, both of which have the correct address for our business. However, when I search for our agency on Moz Local, a line from our address is missing. Moz doesn't allow you edit most of the address for spam reasons, but it lets you enter a manual 'Address Line 2', which is perfect as that's what's missing.... Unfortunately, it appears this has a very low character limit and it only accepts two of the three words in the address - 'Teesside Industrial' instead of 'Teesside Industrial Estate'! For local SEO, your address needs to be perfectly consistent across every single directory... so how do I overcome this if Moz won't allow me to enter our correct address? Cheers, Lewis

  • Hi all, New to using Moz Local and so far I like it - but some information is a bit confusing.  Specifically the "Incomplete" listings.  When I click on it - it shows my Google Plus page (which is verified) as being incomplete.  The reason provided is that Moz Local thinks I need to add 3 more categories, when in fact there are no more categories available on Google Plus. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi I have three verified local business (via Google MyBusiness) but when I added them to Moz Local, they only are verified by Facebook - I would like to change the verification source as Google MyBusiness is more accurate. You can see the locations in Google search here:
    Leeds: https://www.google.com/search?ludocid=6714475035535691769&q=MOJO 18 Merrion Street Leeds LS1 6PQ&hl=en-GB
    Manchester: https://www.google.com/search?ludocid=17665590331454411291&q=MOJO 59 Bridge St Manchester M3 3BQ&hl=en-GB
Liverpool:https://www.google.com/search?ludocid=12708604235049384545&q=MOJO The Stables Back Berry Street Liverpool%2C Merseyside L1 4BG&hl=en-GB My questions are: How do I switch the verification source for Leeds and Manchester in Moz Local from Facebook to Google Why is Liverpool not being found in Moz Local (for either source) Any help is appreciated!

  • I've been having some issues with addresses recently that I've been submitting to Moz Local and I'd like to see if other people are having similar issues and how they are resolving them... So Moz local requires you to have any Suite or Floor info on line 2 and I am having a hard time making this work with Google. It seems like they always add it to line 1 and when I call to get it fix it is like pulling teeth to get it right. There has been a couple times i've had to fight to tell them its not formatted right. All this trouble has really made me think about if it is worth it using the service if this is going to be an issue.

  • I am using Moz Local UK on behalf of a customer of mine. There are two verified listings when I do a search for their business name and postcode. There are a couple of slight variations in the two verified NAPs; One says Road, the other says Rd. One says their county, the other says their district - or East Sussex & Brighton & Hove. Both their Facebook and Google+ pages say Road and East Sussex. Both verified listings are wrong and in contrast to any Facebook or Google+ account. Not too sure where to go with this and would appreciate any advice :0)

  • I'm having 2 possibly related issues with a Moz Local listing. The first is that the company the listing is for was an LLC when we put the listing up, but have since changed a C corporation, so the name needs to change from ________ LLC to _________, Inc. I've updated the name on their validated Google+ local business listing a few weeks ago, and Moz Local sees that listing, but the name on Moz Local hasn't updated yet. The second issue is that it's not verifying through Facebook, and the Facebook page that Moz Local CAN see is the wrong one. I edited the listing and manually added the URL to the correct Facebook page a few weeks ago, but that still hasn't gone through either. One last thing, if it makes any difference, is that the company's website does have a link directly to the proper Facebook page. Hopefully there's a quick and/or easy way to resolve this. Thanks!

  • Hello, So the provided address by Moz is being pulled from Google. It's listing the city twice, even though Google Plus isn't doing this. Meaning there's a few inconsistent listings for the address. Any ideas how to change the address that Moz is using? Thanks 🙂 fDmsIos

  • Hello. I am using the Moz Local service to submit my site to directories. There seems to be a bit of conflicting information/Instructions. Do I just sit back and let Moz continue with providing updates to the sites, or do I have to manually go in to each of the partner sites to make sure that they are all updated correctly? I seem to remember reading one instruction telling me to let Moz do it, and another saying that I should be doing it. There are missing categories on some of the sites, which I am being told to make sure are correct, whilst the Moz Local site is saying 'Update in progress'. I am a bit confused :0)

  • I'm sure the answer is pretty simple, but how are we supposed to report an old location as closed in Moz Local? I'd like to mark an old address as closed in all of the major data providers. Of course, I can claim the new location, but I do I need to claim the old location and then somehow mark it closed? When I do a search with Moz, it gives me five results for a doctor who has a single location now (I'm not posting the actual name because I just don't want this forum to appear for searches for the doctor): <address>Dr. Doctor Name, DMD Verified
    Old Address
Current Phone</address> <address>Doctor Name, DMD Verified
    Current Address
Current Phone</address> <address>**Periodontist, Doctor Name, DMD, PC **Verified
    Current Address (Alternate City Name)
    Current Phone</address> <address>Doctor Name, DMD
    Current Address (Alternate City Name)
    Current Phone</address> <address>Doctor Name
    Old Address
Current Phone</address> Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Tom

  • I am trying to setup a Moz Local campaign but I am unable to change the county (I am in the UK). In the Moz report, my 'state' is listed as 'Cnwll', but it should be 'Cornwall'. My Google + page has the correct information and is verified. My Facebook page has the correct information, apart from the fact that I can't add add a county. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could go from here? Thanks.

  • Hi, I get a warning that my webpage is showing duplicate content with https address even though I haven't purchased any SSL certificate. However, there should be a easy way to fix this within .htaccess file by using rel canonical tag. But I didn't find any information how to make a canonical redirect in .htaccess to http from https over the internet, so I'm hoping someone here has that information. Any information would be highly appreciated. Kim

  • I have some variance in my company name (spacing/nospacing) and even my web address, www/non-www so I want to consolidate all of them. On top of that I need to build up my local citations so need to submit to more local directories. Will Moz local take away the job of local directory submission from me? I understand they use like 5 data aggregators, I understand they are the directories of directories, so does that mean these 4 will submit to local directories for me? How many local directories is moz local suppose to get you on? Also I understand it can take a month for your listing to show. In this case, would it not be better to just do it manually? I mean if I submit to yell.com now it's going to be there instantly, on top of that If I don't have the time I can outsource the work to India for very cheap and probably cost less than £84? Thanks

  • I'm using Moz Local for a few clients right now with good results. Was talking to a friend about using it for one of her web clients and a new scenario came up. The client does waste management and has a dozen locations in/outside of a metro area. She's been "trying to get their listing on Google Maps" without luck. After some probing, it turns out their main address for operations is in the metro area they are targeting, but they don't have waste facilities there and wanted to prevent customers from coming there. They actually use a PO Box for their contact information on their website and make no mention of the main address. Looking to see if anyone agrees with my proposed solution: Claim Google My Business listing for the main address in the metro area they're trying to optimize for. Use Moz Local to clean up their main listing (after a quick check, it's a mess) for the operations address. Update website contact info to include the main operations address, and make specific mention of which other addresses customers should/shouldn't go to for dumping/picking up equipment. So, the recommendation would be one Moz Local account. I figure no need to do listing for all of their other locations since they're just waste facilities controlled by the main listing. Does this seem like a plan?

  • Sorry if this has been asked before (searched to no avail), and it's probably a dumb question...  but if you're still reading...  🙂  I'd like to determine which pages of my site show up on MOBILE searches (i.e. user is on an iPhone).  I know that Moz shows searches "from" a certain location, but my understanding (which may be wrong!) is that the SERP on a mobile device is sometimes different from a desktop search.  Ultimately, I'm trying to decide whether to create a whole different layout for my home page ONLY for mobile devices, and if virtually everyone finding my site on a mobile phone would see that page first.  I figured if Moz tracked "mobile SERP rankings", then I could simply see if any pages besides the home page are ranking for my targeted terms.  Any thoughts or clarifications greatly appreciated!  🙂  ~ Scott

  • Good Morning We help medical practices with their online marketing. One of our clients has 5 locations in the DC area. This practice has two locations in both Chevy Chase, MD and Washington DC. I am trying to submit all 5 locations to MOZ Local but I am running into issues with MOZ recognizing the other location's information in the same city. My issue arises when I try to submit the second location in the same city. MOZ keeps  pulling the google and facebook information for the other practice location in the same city and giving the error that I have to update google and facebook to have the submission go through. MOZ-is there someone that can help me with adding these two locations that won't go through?! Thanks! Best Regards Joel

  • How do I find what the actual listings are when using Moz Local?  I want to add more citations for my clients and don't want to create duplicates. _There are five main aggregators of location data that send information to local search engines: Infogroup, Neustar Localeze, Acxiom, and Factual and Foursquare.  Is the info we are giving in Moz Local_* In the Dashboard...it show that "35 listings reach". but what are the actual listings? Do I need to use Whitespark to see what the actual listings are?  Currently right now, I can only see like 18 listings. Any insight? Regards, Benny

  • Kinda new to Moz Local. Up until about 5 days ago, I was getting 96-97% reported by Moz Local - then suddenly that dropped to 84% and Moz Local reported that my Facebook listing wasn't found. I'd seen face book come and go, sometimes Moz Local would say FB couldn't be reached but usually it would show up later that day and I'd get 96% again. But now its been about 5 days and FB keeps showing up as no listing found. I completely retyped in my FB url and verified everything but still Moz Local won't update.
