How to find competition for a particular keyword
-
Is there any operator to find the level of competition for a particular keyword in Google ?
Is intitle:keyword a fair indicator ?
-
For some of the phrases I'm currently working on all of the top ten SERPs have the phrase in the URL. Not saying its a factor but I wouldn't like to leave it out of the equation just yet.
-
Yes, you are right that a simple Google search will be enough.
Don't you think that inurl is not required.
-
I suppose you would use a combination of operators; intitle:keyword+inurl:keyword+intext:keyword
It seems a bit daft when you can simple Google a keyword and see the top 10 for a phrase! or use Keyword difficulty tool to get an idea of competitions metrics.

Thanks Aran.
Actually, the above question was asked in an SEO interview to one of my friends. Is there any operator to find the competition .

You could try the keyword difficult tool in SEOMoz research tools
http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty
It will give you a rough idea of the difficulty to rank and also the Page and Domain Authority of the top 10 competitors

After 301 redirection non-English keyword points to English language pages
We had multilingual website on .co.uk domain and somewhere in April, we've done 301 redirection from domain1.co.uk pages which were in Polish language to domain2.com/pl domain and now for some Polish keywords Google SERP sometimes shows English pages (.com) and sometimes polish pages (.com/pl). Previously co.uk/en had English content and that got redirected to .com. What could be the reason? Thank you for all responses.

Keywords in site maps. Can there be too many? Can they be considered to be stuffed?
Hi everyone,
On-Page Optimization | | TheJewelleryEd
I'd appreciate some insight on a keyword stuffed site map I've seen on a site similar to ours (we don't have this kind of menu ourselves).
https://www.1stdibs.com/sitemap/jewelry/stone/pink-diamond/
This is accessed from a site map. Do you think it's too blatant / keyword stuffed? I haven't done this with our site, but am interested to see a big reputable site doing something so clearly just for SEO.
Would it work? Or would search engines dislike it? I'd really appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you.0 -
Appropriate Keyword Usage in Document
Moz on page grader - Text content is very important for modern SEO. In order to optimize your chances of ranking higher for the targeted keyword(s), we recommend using the targeted keyword(s) at least 4 times. Recommendation: Add at least 4 instances of the targeted keyword(s) to the document text of this page. Is there any preferred word count for the web page/blog? for example it is not good to add keyword 4 time in 200 words content. and We need to add exact keyword 4 times in the content?

Whats the best way to rank high for several different keywords?
I Have a print website www.print.dor2dor.com and we print 100's of products. I was wandering what is the best way to rank high for severall keywords as we dont want to just rank high for printing because when people are searching they normally type in the product they are looking for with printing at the end of it.
