Ran Open site explorer on my site:
It is saying that I only have "1" Internal followed link
could somebody tell me what that means... and maybe take a look at my site and see it this is a quick fix?

I am having this same issue. There are plenty of links on my website to other pages of my website, but I am only getting 1... I thought it might be because my links are in a spry menu, but I have some bottom links that are normal links.
I am the business owner/Photographer/Editor/Webmaster... I did not go to school for HTML (except for one basic class) if you know what I'm doing wrong, can you explain in laments terms? The hosting co I use is BlueHost.

The microsoft IIS toolkit, you need to have a iis web server to use it.

But you still have links to /home. lots of them.

The home page used to be /home for about 2 months after I did the new site. I have recently found that since most links i had where pointed to .com/ I changed the site to .com/
the page rank is much better for .com/ then /home so I am going to stick with .com and weather the storm.

Agreed, one other thing i noticed was a lot of redirects from "http://www.psbspeakers.com/home to "http://www.psbspeakers.com"
This i believe would be doing you a lot of harm.
Linking back to teh home page correctly is very important.
reading this page will explain it. (ignore outdated stuff about inbound links can not harm you)

The robots stuff should be blocked. they are not really usable so I blocked them.
Thanks for your suggestions above... but wouldn't I still have more then 1 link on the home page even with all the little problems you found?

Your robots.txt is blocking 570 internal links.
You also have 442 unnessasary redirects. an example
The link to "http://www.psbspeakers.com/articles/HCC-Imagine-home-theater-review" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.psbspeakers.com/articles/HCC-Imagine-Home-Theatre-Review".
you should 301 redirect to all lowercase, and you should make sure that all yout internal links pioint to the lowercase version.

yep. typed it in correctly.
I am thinking that i have some sort of 301 or server side stuff effecting the crawl. -
some sort of glitch. are you sure you typed in the domain correctly? I assume it is http://www.psbspeakers.com/ and not how it was typed above.
I see no problem on your site, you've got tons of internal dofollowed links on the homepage.

Query string parameters and canonical links
Hello everyone, My site uses query string parameters in a few places to manage tasks like pagination of lists. Eg: http://www.example.com/destinations/somewhere?page=2 I have set a canonical link with the href of the page without the query string but still getting thousands of duplicate title/meta description reports from these pages. Is there something I can do to change this? Do search engines actually penalise for use of query string parameters like this? They seem so commonplace, even for sites which use an absolute URI with no query string to serve content. Thanks 🙂

International SEO (USA & UK)
Hi I have a client project site thats been operating successfully in the UK now for a few months and looking to expand offer to USA. Their dev team thinks best to have a UK & US subfolder with IP sniffer serving up the relevant version depending upon ip location Apart from price differences and some spelling differences content will likely be duplicate. Please can anyone offer advice in regard to the above such as links to latest international seo resources/articles etc (i have seen Aleydas great WBF). If anyone has any experience of above scenarios (i.e. knows of probs with ip sniffer method in regard to seo or essentially having dupe folders for uk & usa just with local differences) then any advice comments will be much appreciated ? Question Re Cornerestone Page And Anchor Text For Internal/External Links
Suppose I create a cornerstone page with the targeted keyword "Dog Collars". I write a dozen articles on various dog collars and point a link from each article to my cornerstone page. Should the anchor text for the links from each of those articles to the cornerstone page be "Dog Collars" or should they vary, but still be relevant to "Dog Collars" for best SEO? Should half of them be "Dog Collars" and the other half various? Also, if I have 12 articles and all of the anchor text is already "Dog Collars", should I go back and change them so that they all don't say the same thing? If hope my question makes sense ... thanks in advance. I will give thumbs up for helpful responses and suggestions 😉

Building content pages, redirecting and linking
Previously the company had created some .HTML content pages around top shoe styles and top manufactures. One or two of these pages used to rank but have been neglected over the page 18 months. I want to build out new content round our top styles / top manufactures and I am wondering if I should use the existing HTML pages or create new pages that use our content management system. The .HTML pages can contain keywords in the URL, using our content management system, all URL’s are www.site.com/content/home/contentid=1234abcd. If we use the .HTML pages all content is managed manually. If we build out 6 to 10 pages, this can become a resource issue and may result in a bad experience for the website visitor. From an SEO perspective, does the benefit of having the keywords in the URL outweigh the manual management hassles? And if not, should we 301 all the HTML pages to the new content pages? And from a linking standpoint, I want these content pages to point to the new version of the top style. From a navigation standpoint, we also want to provide access to all styles from the manufacture. Should we nofollow the links to all styles?

Too many On-Page Links on a WP based Website
Hi, I've already browsed through various of the Q&As on the "too many On-Page links" issue, but I would really need some advice concerning a WP Site with a dropdown navigation. As outlined in the on-page report, every site has about 180 outgoing links, which pretty much is the number of site featured in the navigation. Even though the 100 link limit is somewhat outdated I'm still worried about the distribution of linkjuice from the starting page and how Google perceives the importance of the various pages. Would it make sense to adapt the structure of the navigation, so that the starting page only links to the 5 category pages and the category pages only link to the detail pages they contain? The site has good rankings for several pages and I assume that Google can tell that the large number of links is caused by the navigation. But with every page having appr. 180 links it may be difficult for Google to tell, which of those pages are the most important regarding internal link structure... Looking foward to your opinion and insights! Cheers, Chris

PageRank: Links on menu and footer to the same page, does it get counted twice?
Hello all. If I have 10 links on a menu linking to 10 different pages, and 10 links on the footer linking to the same pages, does PageRank get divided by 10 or 20?
