Online checkers for Anchor Links ?
-
Okay, we are looking for online tools to check our backlinks, and anchor links top domains, etc.
OSE is not working for us, because looks like , it gets updated in some months.
We are looking for something, which can drag the statistics in fw hours and show up.
Let me know.

I think many of the moz users who are involved in SEO as a primary business utilizes multiple tools for links, etc. First OSE is updated monthly. There are multiple ways to check links, but the quick and easy for me is SEO for Chrome as it pulls up Yahoo's Site Explorer, Majestic, OSE, etc. The drop down will take you where you want to go - quick and efficient.
But, remember these tools also provide other features, benefits that are independent of one another. With Yahoo Site Explorer I get a more varied view of my links. With OSE I get less of the links picture but I also get additional actionable data and a filtering function that often allows me to cut to the chase on competitive analysis. AsI look at the available tools (on the bar) on my laptop, I truly see an array. This is a set that is personal to me and the functions I perform. For you, they may well be different. My suggestion is try several over time and do not be surprised when you use this for that and that for this.
Here is a message from Rand that I would suggest you read regarding the latest and greatest from the moz engineers.

How to combat competitor buying who is buying links and winning.
I have a competitor who is buying links in the Featured Advertiser Links section of Washington Post online. His backlink profile is a very low # of referring domains. (38ish) with a good bit being repeats of Wahington Post. My question, is their strategy within Google guidelines, and what can I do to combat it? Thanks.

What precisely is "partial match" anchor text?
This page says "...'partial match' means that at least one word from the query matches the anchor text.". Does this mean that at least one word from the query matches at least one word from the anchor text, or that at least one word from the query matches the entire anchor text?

Does SEOMoz (or anyone) offer a measurement of "overlapping" links between 2+ domains?
I'm trying to judge how much incremental value we'd see from 301'ing an old domain vs. revitalizing the old domain's content. My gut feeling is that most of the links to the two sites are from the same set of websites so it wouldn't add much value to 301 the old domain. I've seen the opposite of this done with Competitive Link Analysis (e.g show links that you don't have that your competitor does have). Is there a tool available that can take 2 or more sites and tell me for instance - 72% of the inbound links or linking root domains are the same?

Anyone have experience with "Link Research Tools" ?
I'm looking into Linkresearchtools.com for competitive backlink analysis. Already have SEOmoz (obviously) and Majestic. Anyone have any experience with the toolset? If so, what does it do well, what do you like, and where does it fall down? Cheers

Competitor with over 100,000 links to duplicate copy ranks well, anyone know why?
One of our competitors has over 100,000 links on Yahoo site explorer, most of them are from pages on their site with duplicate content and they don't seem to have a focus on gaining backlinks, but the site still ranks really well. Can anyone think of a reason why this duplicate content hasn't been penalised by Google?
