Hello, i need a estimation
-
Hi i own a website for movies, http://themovies2012.info. I wanna know how much visits will i get when i am on 1st position? Now aren't many searches, but in the near future, lets say june. How much visits will i get in june, on the keyword movies 2012, 1st position.... over 5000?
-
Yes I agree. Content is still King (ish).
-
Yeah they're just not top level TLD's. I don't think it's a huge no-no as I've got those TLD's to rank before but there's certainly some disadvantage due to the amount of spam sites that use them. If your content is good enough though then it shouldn't matter
-
I have no direct experience BUT...
I have heard that .info domains are often used for porn / spam sites so they've already got a bad reputation before you start.
Advice I've been given is to staty away from .info.
HTH

Can you tell me what is the disadvantage of a info?
-
Why do you think that?
-
To be honest... I would not anticipate and simply rejoice if you received any visits in June.
-
Hmm, I was going to say it might be a little difficult to get first for that though... especially with a .info
But then I looked at what is first now (in the UK) and it's an ad-heavy awful site: http://teaser-trailer.com/movies-2012.html
So I will eat my words... thought you'd be up against RottenTomatoes, IMDB, Wiki and all the production companies like Warner Bros, MGM, etc... but apparently not lol

Hi,
It's impossible to say the number of visits you'll get in the future. Looking at Googles Keyword Tool there are 550,000 searches for your key phrase "movies 2012" so I guess there could be at least 5000 visits if you get a page 1 position near the top.
Hope that helps
Steve

You can try the google keywords tool, find how may visties a month for thet keyword, from a power point that rand did, i think it was 42% click on #1.
That is a average, if your serp is spammy you may not get the 42%.

Do we need to Disallow profiles from discussions or forums?
Hi, We have a forum where users create different threads like any other community...ex..Moz. Thousands of pages are getting created. New threads and comments are Okay as they have relevant content. We are planning to "Disallow" all profile pages as they do not help with content relevancy and may dilute the link juice with thousands of such profile pages. Is this right way to proceed? Thanks

An Educated Eye Needed
As a small video production company, we rely on word of mouth and good Internet placement to generate business. From first glance, what would cause potential customers/search engines to rank our site low? https://episode11productions.com We believe that we have done all that we "know" to do, and are now at a loss.

A web audit for web traffic? Need answers please..
Hi, We are a PR agency based in Dubai and we produce a lot of web content. The website is build on ruby on rails and we have implemented keywords and SEO strategies but sadly the traffic pattern has not changed since the past three years. What surprised us today that we created a page 2-3 days ago for a client who is participating in Arab Health (a very prestigious healthcare event) and suddenly our page comes on top 3 on google.ae as well as google.com We are kind of convinced that there is something wrong with our code.. Do you think this could be a possibility? and the lack of change in the traffic pattern might not be an SEO issue but a code issue? What could be the possible reasons for this pattern? In such a scenario what would experts like you recommend we do? Do a SEO Audit? Web audit? code audit? hire a seo/ web / code consultant? Thanks - helpful answers are really appreciated and just btw if anyone feels they could professionally help us out of this mess, we are willing to work with him/her. Thanks in advance

Where do we know that citations are needed?
Hi, there, I 've read much about citations and that there are very good for local SEO. I also watched the webinar about them in SEOMOZ. My question is where does the information that citation are needed and help in Google ranking? Is there a proof from Google or just it is found by seo specialists? I've never heard about it just 1-2 years ago so I am interested where this information comes from?

Selection of the Right Keywords - Some insights needed!
I have recently begun with my content and keyword selections. I used the Adword's keyword tool and for eg: got a few keywords like laser skin treatment dermatology dermatologists cosmetic laser surgery The competition for these are low and medium. Now what I understand is. If I wish to use them in my articles on content generation I can have them as medium and long tail keywords to write around. So for eg: laser skin treatment = " Benefits of a laser skin treatment in India" and the url for this article could be /laser-skin-treatment For dermatology = "best dermatology practices" url could be /dermatology-practices Do the above happen to be the medium and long tail keywords? Am I going in the correct direction. How do I judge and come out with medium and long tail keywords. Please suggest Thanks

Urgent input needed on huge drop in Google
As of today we got huge drops in SERP across all our pages. We can see a drop between 10 to 80% on most of our pages on this domain: http://www.meresverige.dk Some background info: Never bought any links Yes, did optimize the site, but only in fair way, using SEO moz On-Page Optimization. Most pages get an A-grade No cloaking, all pages do look exactly same to visitors and Google Any input on what this could be? We are hugely grateful for any input that might lead us in the correct direction Have a nice day Fredrik

Panda Update: Need your expertise...
Hi all, After Panda update our website lost about 45% of it's traffic from Google. It wasn't an instant drop mostly it happened gradually over the last 5 months. Our keywords (all of them except the domain name) started to lose positions from top #10 to now 40+ and all recovery attempts we have done so far didn't really help. At this moment it would be great to get some advice from the top experts like you here. What we have done so far is that We have gone through the all pages and removed the duplicate / redundant ones. We have refresh the content on the main pages and also all pages now have an canonical tags. Our website is www.PrintCountry.com. Thank you very much in advance for your time.
