My Domain rank is falling but my traffic is improving?

I have been here for one month today and have been reworking many pages to improve my On-Page results for my site www.antiquebanknotes.com
I have seen some really nice improvement in my organic, search and non paid keywords. (up 38%, 21% and 29% this week)
But last week all of a sudden my domain authority dropped from 10 to 9. Not tragic but still odd since I have been getting some decent results from my optimazations. My competitors have domain authority in the 20's so it's something I am sure I need to work on.
I have added links out to relevant sites and added lots of content but my domain authority falls? Is this common when a site makes lots of changes?

Actually, there were recent adjustments to the SEOmoz page rank system to make it more reflective of where a page would actually be ranking in search results. Since the move was only ten percent, it was probably simply an adjustment based on that change. The change was explained in the following post on the 23rd of Nov. by Matt Peters
Since you are seeing improvement, it shows that the change is based no changes in measurement by moz and not in search rankings or results.

This might currently be affected by any back-links you have either established (been building to the domain) or one's that have freely linked to you.
My advise, would be to continue just working to improve your site. Metrics for performance will increase over time, if you keep your 'visitors, and clients' in mind. Improve the user experience, take care of the proper technical steps to ensure proper use of 301's, on and off page optimizations, great content and user experience and over time, your metrics will show themselves off
which is always nice..Just remember, all this work isn't something that will happen overnight. It takes time to improve these rankings. As Moz's index is usually updated 1 time per month (if they are running on time), you will be able to track this metric month over month. If you see steady drops, then you might want to start digging.
Again, my guess is that you are on the right track. Don't overthink the metrics behind the site. Look at the analytics data and think, how can I better my site for improved user experience

301 Redirect Only Home Page/Root Domain via Domain Registrar Only
Hi All, I am really concerned about doing a 301 redirect. This is my situation: Both Current and New Domain is registered with a local domain registrar (similar to GoDaddy but a local version) Current Domain: Servers are pointing to Wix servers and the website is built and hosted with Wix I would like to do a 301 redirect but would like to do it in the following way with a couple of factors to keep in mind: 99% of my link are only pointed to the home page/root domain only. Not to subdirectories. New Domain: I will register this with wix with a new plan but keep the exact sitemap and composition of current website and launch with new domain. Current Domain: I want to change server pointing to wix to point to local domain registrar servers. Then do a 301 redirect for only the home page/root domain to point to the new domain listed with wix. So 301 is done via local registrar and not via Wix. Another point to mention is it will also change from Http to Https as well as a name change. Your comments on the above will be greatly appreciated and as to whether there is risk in trying to do a 301 redirect as above. Doing it as above it also cheaper if I do the 301 via the wix platform I will need to register a full new premium plan and run it concurrently to the old plan whereas if I do it as mentioned above will only have the additional domain annual fee. Domains and Domain Authority
Looking for some advice 🙂 I have a domain that has been registered since 1999 and currently hosts my website - the problem is that my business has moved in a different direction and my URL is no longer associated with my main product offering. For example in the past I was xyzgarden.com however now something like xyzhomedecor.com is much more appropriate. How should I handle this so that I am not at a disadvantage for SEO. thanks!

My direct traffic went up and my organic traffic went down. Help!
So on Oct. 21, our direct traffic increased 3x and our organic traffic decreased 3x. And it has been that way ever since. Almost like they flip flopped. Additionally, that was the same day I started retargeting to our site. I have tagged all the links from the ads and they're being counted as google paid clicks in GA. And our accounts are linked. I am just dumbfounded as to how this could happen.

Website not ranking
Firstly, apologies for the long winded question. I'm 'newish' to SEO We have a website built on Magento , www.excelclothing.com We have been online for 5 years and had reasonable success. Having used a few SEO companies in the past we found ourselves under a 'partial manual penalty' early last year. By July we were out of penalty. We have been gradually working our way through getting rid of 'spammy' links. Currently the website ranks for a handful of non competitive keywords looking at the domain on SEM RUSH. This has dropped drastically over the last 2 years. Our organic traffic over the last 2-3 years has seen no 'falling off a cliff' and has maintained a similar pattern. I've been told so many lies by SEO companies trying to get into my wallet I'm not sure who to believe. We have started to add content onto all our Category pages to make more unique although most of our Meta Descriptions are a 'boiler plate' template. I'm wondering.... Am I still suffering from Penquin ? Am I trapped by Panda and if so how can I know that? Do I need more links removed? How can I start to rank for more keywords I have a competitor online with the same DA, PA and virtually same number of links but they rank for 3500 keywords in the top 20. Would welcome any feedback. SEO connectivity between domains and sub-domains
Hi, My web site georgerossphotography.com and my ecommerce site store.georgerossphotography.com each reside on different servers. georgerossphotography.com has a domain authority of 30 store.georgerossphotography.com has a domain authority of 30 Clearly, they are considered two individual sites but is there any way that I can boost the performance of the primary domain by passing along some for that good SEO juice from the sub-domain? Multiple domains?
I do own a domain for my business right now, and would have a few questions, regarding the increase or traffic for my website and getting new business 1. Is it worth to purchase multiple domains, keyword search relevant, to my business? 2. If so how is the best way to use it? : have them redirect to my own website? a specific type of redirect? do I make a separate website for each of them? 3. for ex if the keyword is " tile and grout". I figured would be best to own "tileandgrout.com". How about "tile-and-grout.com"? thank you in advance

My site rank is not consistent. Once it at first page , then for the next week it is not found in top 100 position. Again two/ three weeks later it ranked automatically without any work. Why this is happening?
