What happened to my site?
-
This is my website: http://goo.gl/Brekn
It was related to health niche. I am good with the serp for the last couple of hours. I am in top for the keywords: cure for piles, hemorrhoids treatment, natural hemorrhoid treatment. My main keyword is hemorrhoids treatment.
And has recently added this page, http://goo.gl/SXNtX
This page has some dupe content, as content writer was busy i have copied the content from other sources. Does this have any effect? I have not added this page onto homepage as i dont like google to index it until my copywriter writes the content.
Dont know what happened, in the last few hours i lost my serp to no where. Can anyone tell me what happened to my site. Did i done anything wrong? In the last week i have added a link to my ebooks related site. Does this affected my serps? Or did the Google recent change

Has any effect on my site?
Awaiting for your replies...

I have unique content, i only copied one small article which i mentioned above, and regarding links, yes i am building links, but i am building links based on my competitor links data. And is there any chance for me to know what exactly has took my site back and what i need to do in order to get back its position. Tomorrow i am gonna ask my copy writer to write more content for it. And i will fix the issue with content. And do you guys really think the problem is also with link data? As i have no chance removing some of the links. And also there are no warnings in GWT.

From the looks of things you have several poor seo methods in place.
Defo looks like you bought links. OSE has your page with thousands of links, most of which are unrelated, highly keyword dense, on sites that are filled with links going out.
And using content that you copied can also impact you poorly. Most likely you got penalized.
I know that as a search user if I typed in any of those keywords and found your site I would be upset that your page appeared and would leave and find something else. So Google probably saw that as well.

How have you been building backlinks? I had a quick look and many of them look suspicious to me. I see a lot of stuff that comes from unrelated high(ish) PR blogs that also link out to bad neighborhoods (sex, etc.). If you've been buying links then Google may be on to you.

Have you looked in GWMT to see if there is anything there from Google? I don't think it is a penalty, but if you are using someone else's content (and there are a lot of people with your product on the web) you will need to change that asap.

Hi,
Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I am not ranking for my domain name also, is this is a kind of penality? I was able to see all my results in 45th page. Does this penality has any name?

It is difficult to tell anyone "why" something dropped in rankings. On first blush, it could be around the content as you do have a large image at top so even on a MacbookPro 17, I don't see any real content until I scroll down. But, it is not terrible. With the content, it is a bit thin. If it is duplicated as well, I don't see how it could rank well.
Another thing could be that you are not getting the CTR you need and that is pushing you down a bit. Your meta description is too long and the call to action is at the end of it....in other words no one knows they can "get relief from painful hemorrhoids in less than 48 hours" as they never see it in the snippet on the SERP. Put that first. Get quality content on the page, maybe link to a couple of quality resources (med journal, wiki) from your main content, etc.
Hope this helps.
Edit, you have marked this as an ongoing discussion and it really is a question.

Google Indexed Site A's Content On Site B, Site C etc
Hi All, I have an issue where the content (pages and images) of Site A (www.ericreynolds.photography) are showing up in Google under different domains Site B (www.fastphonerepair.com), Site C (www.quarryhillvet.com), Site D (www.spacasey.com). I believe this happened because I installed an SSL cert on Site A but didn't have the default SSL domain set on the server. You were able to access Site B and any page from Site A and it would pull up properly. I have since fixed that SSL issue and am now doing a 301 redirect from Sites B, C and D to Site A for anything https since Sites B, C, D are not using an SSL cert. My question is, how can I trigger google to re-index all of the sites to remove the wrong listings in the index. I have a screen shot attached so you can see the issue clearer. I have resubmitted my site map but I'm not seeing much of a change in the index for my site. Any help on what I could do would be great. Thanks

Moving multiple Sites to One Site and SEO Impact/Ideas
Hi there, We are in the process of moving 2 sites with higher page authority to another site we own (that is our company brand), so essentially 3 sites into one. We're at risk of losing a lot of SEO from the original 2 sites that have all the product information. We are doing this since we merged companies a couple years back and need one web precense. Anyhow, the site launch date is in 3 months and the recommendation is to start moving content over prior to that for top pages, which is a big undertaking when we are launching all the pages again with new content, redeisgn and moving sites in 3 months. If it's the right move, we should do it, but I just wanted to get opinions on how others have handled something similiar when moving to a site with lower site authority and trying not to lose rankings.

Link Juice + Site Structure
Hi All, I have attached a simple website model.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Mark_Ch
Page A is the home page attracting 1000 visitors per month.
One click away is Page B with 400 visitors per month, so on and so forth. You get an idea of the flow and clicks required to get to various pages. I have purposely placed Pages E-G to be 3 clicks away as they yield very little traffic. 1] Is this the best way to distribute link juice?
2] Should I point Pages C + D back to page A to influence its Page Rank (PA) Any other useful advice would be appreciated. Thanks Mark vafnchI0 -

Depth of Links on Ecommerce Site
Hi, In my sitemap, I have the preferred entrance pages and URL's of categories and subcategories. But I would like to know more about how Googlebot and other spiders see a site - e.g. - what is classed as a deep link? I am using Screaming Frog SEO spider, and it has a metric called level on it - and this represents how deep or how many clicks away this content is.. but I don't know if that is how Googlebot would see it - From what Screaming Frog SEO spider software says, each move horizontally across from Navigation is another level which visually doesnt make sense to me? Also, in my sitemap, I list the URL's of all the products, there are no levels within the sitemap. Should I be concerned about this? Thanks, B

2 sites or one sites: 2 locations
Hello, I have a dog training client who is offering services in 2 separate locations. We're looking to be first in the non-local search results and also rank well in google places. Would it be better to go for 2 separate sites or one site and try to rank for 2 different locations with one site? There's both local and standard search results when we type in our keywords. Thanks!
