Content and Relevant Links
-
Hello,
My website started to offer guest blog posting and was wondering if it is a good idea to have an anchor text link to a not relevant website in the author bio. The content the guest blogger gave me is relevant to my website but in the author bio there are a couple of anchor text links that are linking to a completly different industry.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Guest blogger is a great way to communicate with those in the blog category so I do not mind giving websites link juice. They take time out of their lives to create quality content for us so the least we can do is link back to their site. That is why when we started letting guest blog posting we publish our website's demographic to show bloggers the traffic our blog gets.
It would be a shame if I stripped away all their links and publish their content

I totally agree with you on this one.

No problem colocation,
It's pretty rare to get relevant and well-written posts as guest post pitches. When you do, it's great that you take the time to consider giving the guest some added value rather than simply stripping his/her links and publishing.

Thank you for your help.

I usually let guest bloggers link to their site in the bio using a brand or website name only (or their own names). If you're seeing anchor text links in the bio like "buy car insurance now," that's a little spammy.
If a guest blogger wants anchor text from me, it's usually in the form of a highly relevant link within the body of the content, that points to a decent page.
Having some weird anchors in author bios isn't going to do you much harm as long as they're not pointed at bad neighborhoods, but having spammy looking anchors in your bios might turn your visitors off a bit. There are also times when having irrelevant links pointing from your site can start to be a negative for you, but not at the scale we're talking about here.

Link Auditing
Anyone have any useful ways to link audit? I'm stuck picking up the slack from a previous worker who decided buying links was a great idea for our clients.

How do I find links that link to several competitor sites?
I want to find linking pages that link to several of my competitors. Those are likely to be lists of tools I can also add my website to. My application is a dashboard tool/kanban board. So if I find a page linking both to say kanbannery.com and kanbanflow.com it will be likely to be a collection of links to kanban tools, ad my application can be relatively easy added. Magestic SEO has a "clique hunter" - is there anything similar in MOZ suite of tools?

Loads of quality content but not getting links!! What should I do?
Hi I have been working hard and creating valuable content for 2 years now, we create a weekly news letter with around 10 articles and all our customers love it. But still we are unable to get links to our sites. There are no active bloggers or sites for our industry and content is highly technical and scientific. My competitors have thin content with bad links and they still rank better than us............. Please help me by answering the questions below - Should we start submissions to directories? If yes which directories should we submit to? What else can we do to build links?

Links from highly relevant but low Domain Authority sites: Yes or No?
We're reaching out to companies that we have a business relationship with (past and present) to find out if they would be interested in linking to us.

All are obviously in the same industry so highly relevant. But some of the sites are low in Domain Authority (with scores of about 15-25).
Should we also ask these sites -- or avoid them?0 -
If you discount a subscription when the client links to you, does that classify as a paid link?
For example, we all subscribe to MOZ, but if we received a 25% discount on our subscription if we linked back, would that be considered by Google as a paid link, or would it be seen as a sales tool / promotion?

Link Location: In main page or inner "Link" page?
My question is what´s best of Link Building: have it in main page or in internal Link Pages. I have the problem that have to reduce the number of outgoing links in my mainpage to rank better, but do not want to miss any linkjuice. How Linking in Main Page or Internal Pages affects SERP for your website? And should they be Follow or not Follow? Thanks in advance Maria Jesus
