Infographic: How do I make one out of this outline?
-
Hello,
I'm making an important infographic for
nlpca(dot)com
on "What is NLP?" The content is going to come from this page, the creator of which is a close friend of ours:
http://www.nlpu.com/NewDesign/NLPU_WhatIsNLP.html
I've attached an outline of the content.
My concern is that this is not a collection of statistics, but it is a very complex definition. So it's not a true infographic, but "What is NLP" is the most searched for content in our industry (and the nlpu.com link above is the strongest ranking page for that term).
I'm wanting help in getting direction on how to create a stellar graphic out of this, so we can get stellar targeted content and gain a group of backlinks from the project.
Any suggestions, large or small, are very welcome, and feel free to reference other infographics which can be good models.
Thank you so much.

Since it is in an outline form to begin with, why not break it up into several infographics?
-
Yes I've watched that great mozinar many times.
-
Oh I get it, I need to consider my audience.
Let me rescope and simplify this and I'll open another question when I'm ready.
Thanks guys!

Pretty nice answear, there Gay! I got a few pointers my self. U can make or brake these infographics very easy if you dont get it right.

I agree with the post above, you're going to have to cut down on the info. Some great tips and answers to your questions can be found in this webinar from Moz that is well worth a look!

I think this is a pretty deep topic to represent as an infographic; you may have to sacrifice some of the complexity of the material in order to make it 'digestible' in the infographic format. I realize this might be painful, but I think you have to consider the audience that is searching for NLP and what they want to know about it instead of presenting your (very complete!) definition of it.
To do that I'd suggest re-scoping what you are going to communicate here; for example still call it 'What is NLP' but scope it back to 'What can NLP do for me?' or 'Applications of NLP', that kind of thing. Your definition is very abstract, moving towards the concrete may help.

Which one is better?
We are creating a new website and got stuck while deciding the URL structure. Our concern is which url is better in terms of SEO i.e. pune.fabogo.com/spa or fabogo.com/pune/spa and why. Also which one would rank faster if someone searches for spas in pune if both pages are same.

Two Similar Profile Pages: One Ranks 2 in Google - The Other 150
My client's site has a directory of doctors on it's site and they are targeting weight loss surgery patients. The problem is that when searching "weight loss surgeon richmond va" one of the doctor's profiles ranks 2nd in Google organic results while the other is not even in the first 10 pages. Both have very similar link profiles and I have checked all the technical things like noindex tags, canonicals, etc to see if that might be the problem but it all checked out. The second doctor's profile IS indexed in Google, just not ranking. We have done a lot of work to push his profile page up in the rankings but all efforts seem to have fallen short. Here are the profiles: http://advancedsurgicalpartnersofva.com/physicians/profile/Gregory-L-Schroder-MD - ranks 2 in Google http://advancedsurgicalpartnersofva.com/physicians/profile/Matthew-Brengman-MD-FACS - does not rank Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Best way to transfer pagerank from one site to another
We currently own two sites (with unique domains) that accomplish a similar goal, but are completely different (so there's no duplicate content, etc) and were developed independently. Both sites have very good pagerank due to great press and inbound links over several years. Also both have thousands of pages and get a lot of inbound deep links. We plan on shutting one of the sites down so we can focus on the other. We'd like to transfer as much traffic and SEO/pagerank value from the one we're shutting down to the one we're continuing to focus on. What's the best way to do that? Should we just do a 301 redirect? Or keep the site running in some diminished form and link it to the site we're focusing on? I saw SEOmoz has a good guide on moving sites http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/redirection which recommends a 301 redirect, but I wanted to see if the same applies when merging sites as we are in this case.
