Finding unique title tags for each media coverage page
-
We have multiple pages for our media coverage, and each page has the same title tag. I know it's important to have unique title tags, but if each page is just a listing of your media coverage (page 1 of 9, page 2 of 9, etc) then how do you create unique title tags for each media coverage page?
-
Dont disagree with you at all EGOL.I actually dont mind a long page in these cases either. Makes for really impressive page and good SEO.
-
Actually we're revising the solution slightly in that we're going to create a "recent coverage" page of this year's articles as the main page of focus. The rest of the pages will have a noindex follow. Otherwise one "view all" page would be super long and not great for the user experience
-
Just saying what I would do.... many will disagree...
I would put ALL of them on one page to create a huge huge list. When people arrive they will say WHOOOO! Look at this!
-
Sorry I should have mentioned. No each media coverage page lists the different publications we were featured in. So page one will have a list of 10 different articles we appeared in and page two will have a new list of another 10 different articles we were featured in, and so on.

Thank you very much Ryan. Yes the view all page should be the main page of focus.
-
You were covered nine times by the same media source for doing the same thing nine different times?
-
Do you really want each one to rank or get indexed separately? In this case it would be good to have a "view all" page that becomes your main page of focus, and then noindex follow the rest of the pages. I would also use WMT to tell good that the urls of the extra pages are "paginated" and they will treat them accordingly. Then you dont really have to worry about the duplicated title tags.

Duplicating words in the page title OK?
Im finding a site with lots of duplicated words in the title tags, I have always avoided doing this in the past, Is there any penalty for having a word repeated twice in the title, indeed is there a benefit from having it twice, IM assuming not

For example: Marketing Services in Milton Keynes | Our Services | TFA
https://www.t-f-a.co.uk/services the word service is repeated twice, in my opinion this is of no benefit at all and is better rewritten to remove the duplication1 -
How come canonicalized pages are showing in the Duplicate Titles report?
I am currently removing all duplicate titles from my site via title tag changes, 301's, and in some instances, canonical tags. I'm confused about why the Moz report spit out pages with duplicate titles that are canonicalized to other pages. Does Google actually consider these pages as having duplicate titles? Or is Roger Mozbot not intuitive enough to to disregard those pages?

Unique Pages with Thin Content vs. One Page with Lots of Content
Is there anyone who can give me a definitive answer on which of the following situations is preferable from an SEO standpoint for the services section of a website? 1. Many unique and targeted service pages with the primary keyword in the URL, Title tag and H1 - but with the tradeoff of having thin content on the page (i.e. 100 words of content or less). 2. One large service page listing all services in the content. Primary keyword for URL, title tag and H1 would be something like "(company name) services" and each service would be in the H2 title. In this case, there is lots of content on the page. Yes, the ideal situation would be to beef up content for each unique pages, but we have found that this isn't always an option based on the amount of time a client has dedicated to a project.

Duplicated page titles
Dear friends, We have a problem which occurs on our page with duplicated page titles. Landlords are posting rooms on our page and most of them are giving the same name to the rooms and after that, we are getting more and more duplicated page titles. We are applying random whit this title tag: Accommodation for students in {city.name}: {name}. English title
On-Page Optimization | | Eurasmus.com
Certified student rooms in {city.name}: {name} English title
Erasmus room for students in {city.name} | {name} English title
Student room in {city.name}: {name} English title Also our title tag is sometimes to long but there is no possibility to make them shorter. I think. If anyone would have some idea be free to comment and help us. Kind regards Miško Macolić Tomičić0 -

What does Google consider a "Duplicate Title Tag?"
Do the title tags have to be exactly the same, or can they have some of the same keywords but different context? Hypothetical example: Home Page = Raising a Kitten, Tips & Tricks for a Healthy Cat Sub-Page = How to Cat-Proof your Home when Raising a Kitten Since both title tags has "raising a kitten," "cat" and "tips" would this be considered a "Duplicate Title Tag" even though the pages have completely different content in them? Thanks in advance!

Punctuation at the Start of Page Titles
one of my clients appears to be using an exclamation mark (e.g. "! Graphic Prints By Mirrorin - Fun Childrens Graphic Prints") and to be completely honest, I have no idea if this is bad practice or if it wont have any affect from an SEO point of view? Any help would be appreciated because it is site wide, therefore if it is an issue I would like to be able to get it sorted asap! Thanks

Page title in SERP question
Has anyone typed in a phrase in Google and seen their listing on the SERP, but the page title on the Google SERP is not what the CMS is set to ? Ie the page title in the SERP is not what is expected? Something related to the company, but not what is set on the CMS… Very odd – has anyone seen something like this before? What could be causing it? Is there a way to change it?
