SEO Conferences - Which One(s) do you Attend ?

I have been in SEO since over 10 years now. And have been attending Pubcon since 2004 in Las Vegas. I think I have only missed 1.
This year, I have been thinking of which conferences to attend and here are the options. I am looking for 1st hand experiences from people who have attended multiple conferences to kinda do a comparison.
Here are the upcoming conferences by date. I am only listing the US Conferences.

You've certainly got some excellent SEO conferences in your list there Nakul. Have you ever thought about crossing the pond?
Here in the UK we have some great conferences and this year is the first year of the ionSearch SEO conference in Leeds.

Moz con is a must in my eyes, I have watched the videos from it and they are all killer.
Price is also great for what you get as your are a pro member - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/announcing-mozcon-2012
BlueGlass is also good, similar to the MOZcon in my eyes.
SMX are good conference's too and also SES is worth it in my eyes.

I'll be attending the SMX in Sydney in a month. Would be good to hear any feedback on this? If I were to attend one event in the US (all the way from Austrslia) what would you recommend?

I will be going to Pubcon and Mozcon.
I went to SMX Seattle and IMC last year - would suggest SMX as long as you go for the main event and select the 'right' workshops.

Re-writing articles, how does this effect SEO?
Hi there, I noticed a competitor had re-created a couple of articles I wrote, but they made reference back to me in the article, can in anyway possible myself or their site be penalised for duplicate content? The article isn't completely copied word for word, however it is definitely shows some similarity. Any advice around this? Thank you in advance

Is it reasonable to not give an SEO access to our CMS?
A client (we designed their website) recently employed an SEO who required FTP access or access to the CMS. We told the client they would need to take full responsibility for any updates the SEO carried out, otherwise, the SEO could send over the changes and we would put them in at no extra cost to the client. The client didn't want to take responsibility and denied the SEO access to the CMS, and told the SEO to send over the completed work for us to put into the site. The SEO was not happy with this arrangement, and didn't seem to understand that we needed to trust him before access was would be given at a future date. Other SEO's have never had a problem with this arrangement, but this SEO claimed what they do is secret and for no one else to see. SEO want's to proceed, client doesn't want to proceed, we are happy to update the website with the client's approval. This particular client has a reputation for backing out of things. Also from the initial client, SEO contact the SEO was ready to update the website within 24 hours. Are we being unreasonable?

Traffic, rankings and own manual note in one interface, please :)
Hey guys, I really hope that such a tool exists out there. Here's the problem. My boss asked me to create a graph that shows the traffic, rankings and notes on our site updates in one place. Here's what I did I just made a screenshot of my Google analytics and rankings from RankTracker. Then I added it all in one Photoshop file and tried to combine them so that I can see if traffic drops coincided with keyword drops. Also, I added some manual notes about the updates on my site (like text updates on the homepage, etc). So, is there a tool that allows to combine Google traffic data with ranking data. Plus it should allow to add my own comments ? Picking a degree that will benefit SEO/IM career
I really had no idea where to place this question as there seemed to be no 'suitable' place. I do though feel that it is a viable question and would appreciate any responses that I receive. Essentially, I'm currently working full time doing digital marketing covering most general aspects as it is in-house and primarily local venturing to maybe 50-70 miles in the region of the local area. I'm doing SEO, PPC, Social Media etc. I'm certified in networking (I studied in Australia) and have my UK GCSEs along with a variety of other general certifications e.g. business. The college in the area where I work is offering a NVQ in digital marketing and social media so although I'm self taught I'm currently doing this once a month purely for the paper to recognize that I know what I'm doing. Anyway, getting to the point. I have the opportunity to pursue a degree long term with my employer. I've always had an interest in actually learning to code in a web development language (I can cope at the moment with PHP and do what I need to do) and I've also had an interest in developing iPhone apps etc. What degree would you recommend in aiding a career in SEO and Digital/Internet marketing in general?. To me it seems to boil down to either a marketing degree or a web development degree. Thank you in advance, I would love to hear your own experience and what you have a degree in. Just want to know if others have seen simliar results with Squidoo's organic visits
I have some old squidoo pages and yes they haven't been tended to as well as my other content that is outperforming it, and yes that could be why. So rather than asking why it is underperforming, I just want to know if anyone else has heard that Squidoo was in line for a spanking, or if anyone else has seen similar organic reductions. That way I know if it's me getting the spanking, or if it's squidoo. Thanks a mil. Tyler
