Advice needed

Hi Guys,
We are trying to increase our rankings for the term "natural beauty products" for our home page....
I have created an article all about natural beauty products with the url as...
domain/natural-beauty-products.html
what I am worried about is this... because this page has more information all about the key word phrase & the url is the keyword phrase, will it out do my root domain ranking?
I created the page to try and give the home page some weight for that key phrase, now I am wondering if I should have had the url as something like "why we love natural beauty products"
then in that page included the keyword phrase link back to the home page!
Hope this makes sense.

We do have a blog, I just tried the link and it worked fine?
The only link is from the about us menu. Is that ok?

In the footer your got a link going to blog, this is a broken link, remove it until there is actually a blog for it to go to.
Do you have a link on your site somewhere leading to that article you wrote?

They have created a inner page, optimised for the keyword they are going after on the homepage, so title tag, url, h1, content on article page all optimised towards "natural beauty products".
Then running an anchor text link out of the content to the root.

When writing articles you are always get strong article pages that come up before your home page on curtain terms. If it is a major topic as you have mentioned then just make sure you link to your home page and also make sure the home page contains the main topic keyword. You must make sure that all your article pages have very strong and clear call-to-actions otherwise it defeats the point of them ranking well and acting like valuable entry pages (which they should)

I cant see it out ranking your homepage to be honest, maybe change your title tag to 'Why we Love Natural Beauty Products' so it fits in with your h1 tag.

The sites he is willing to give us a Blog post/links on are all around PA 25 and DA 25.. The site he wants us to link to has a DA of 78 Can someone advise us on any positives or negatives. on positing on his lower quality sites in exchange for links to his quality site.. Should we go ahead and partner with them ?

A few questions I need help with and would appreciate any help.
I am currently building links to our website via estalished blogs ect (2+ years old), As far as I understand even if they are unrelated to what we do (print) as long as the post is about print the link should offer some value is this correct? Other questions I have which I would greatly appreciate advice in are as follows........ (1) Do charity websites or company websites with link pages ( about5-10 other links) or links / logo's on the front page offer value even on unrelated sites? (2) What happens if 80% of the link building I am doing comes from blogs? (3) If I have links that are clearly spam that have been built to our site can they be damaging our potential to rank and how can I remove them as I have tried to contact the relevant parties but fear pressing the button on the google tool may harm our site should I? (4) If I have a page that genuinely has a lot of mentions of a keyword (not so much the money keyword but part such as wanting to rank for pool table but end up with the different versions of keywords having table mentioned 5 - 10% of the time). Link building need help
I've been doing link building for the past 2 months for a website. I've put together some blog posts and submitted them to some sites. However, I don't want to repeat the content on other sites or use the same sites again for links. The problem with this company is that nothing is happening. The last press release they issued was in 2010 and in the 4 months I've been working for them nothing has happened. I have found a few good quality websites in our niche which I could approach for links, but I want to have good content to put on them. Does anyone have any ideas as how to create content that would be suitable, bearing in mind this a B2B company.

Link building outsource advice
I have been limping along doing link building myself for several months now. Creating relationships, asking for links, writing some articles and press. So far, decent results, but I need to take it to another level. I used SubmitEdge's 400 manual directory submission product, but still not seeing many links coming from it. So, I would like to hire an onshore SEO to help me with link building. After getting several quotes from reputable companies, I found the process very frustrating. I know this business is not about guarentees, but they all want $600-$1000 per month for a fairly open ended service. All they tell me is that they will submit to directories, social media sites, shopping sites, and some niche sites. No guarentees of how many (or what quality) of links I'll get, or even how much time they even plan to spend. Any suggestions on what I should expect? and any suggestion companies?
